Shapers Of Kro Var

In case you wanna check em out.

Okay. I thought of a cool idea after reading the first few parts of this. I know these are probably frowned upon but we have the Alphas :p

My idea was to create a similar species. I haven't read anything else other than the first couple paragraphs but I plan on it. Obviously, they would be very few in numbers as the Shapers Of Kro Var was. I'm not good when it comes to submissions but I'm sure someone could help in any way.

I also need a confirmation that this is okay since I've seen many discussions on species and stuff. Feedback would be great too.

Thanks

I don't follow.

They're literally non-sexist Dathomiri Witches, by concept. There's no confirmation needed...

Shapers are totally legit. It's straight canon. We have had a few running around, the name [member="Vincent Imura"] comes to mind but there have been a few others I can't remember. If you want to play one go for it, but remember that(IIRC) they're very antsy about technology in general. You'll have to find an excuse for them to be travelling the stars if you want to be a Shaper of Kro Var rather than just a dude who learned some stuff from the Shapers of Kro Var.

Summary: I'm wanting to create a species similar to the Shapers Of Kro Var (don't know what they're, didn't see anything on their species)

Lol, so true.

So I don't need a whole new species? (I might come to you when the questions flood through my mind if that's okay)

Shapers are just a Force Religion like the Jedi or Sith. The way they use the Force(which ends up being basically like Benders from the Avatar TV series) is just a different way of using the Force than what's commonly seen. I've always assumed they're mostly human just because most of the galaxy seems to be human, but I suppose they could be any species. They don't like technology very much so if you show up to their homeworld in a blaze of glory in your YT-1300 they might not want to teach you though.

Hmm I see. I'll be making a character for this if I decide to do it. Alask believes in being simple, as it makes things easier.

Could one be a mix of two elements? Not thinking about trying that but you brought up Avatar xD.

I'm not aware of any restrictions personally, but I've never really made a shaper char personally or had reason to study them in depth. I believe [member="Seren Ordavo"] has fire and ice shaping, but that might just be something like convection and cryoknesis.

Jsc

Disney's Princess
They were an Independent Faction that struggled with activity. At some point they joined the Omega Protectorate to keep their planetary identity and culture intact and away from other Major Faction's claim to territory. Their planet still exists inside OP territory out by Bespin and Hoth.

As far as I know they were just gals and dudes who used to the Force to mimic the Avatar TV show super-powers. Easy as pie. :D

Was any of them different? And how exactly did they get their powers? Just stuff I'll probably need to know to go through with this successfully, right? I would think they would be born with them or something but the wookieepedia entry doesn't explain any of that I believe.

[member="Tacitus Zambrano"]

(I'm going to miss the wise bear) That's very true. Besides, what you don't know can't hurt you - most of the time.

They are a force order. Shaping, such as Fire Shaping, is not a "power", it is an ability used through the force. It is literally an application of telekinetic effect to manipulate the path and movement of various elements, of which there are four to use (I believe).

Super Shaper Puppy!
I wrote a Shaper here many moons ago.

Long story short: 1) yes, multiple elements are possible but highly unlikely (because each element is effectively its own tribal religion). 2) culture is that there are four elements and each tribe on planet wields a different element. there can be multiple tribes per element.

It's an application of telekinesis? Oh, cool. * goes off to fire shape *

And, yes, it's four elements. They manipulate earth, fire, water and air.
