STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
- Duelist - Shae'an is at her best in a fight against a single similarly-equipped opponent, where she uses the force and sorcery to confuse and disorient, then strikes with lethal precision. She is a deadly enemy one on one.
- Sorceress - A rarity in the Chaos galaxy, Shae is devoted to learning more of sith magic and becoming a great sorceress. Her 'direct' connection to the dark side is through the crystal she found and carries with her, though she has no idea this is case.
- Seeker - Related to the above, Shae greedily devours any knowledge put before her and is adept at snooping out secrets.
- Consummate Liar - By using natural charm, practiced technique, and liberal use of the force, Shae can talk her way out of or into most places. She is adept at appearing to be something she is not.
- Limited - Shae'an's combat ability is very focused and she is not strictly an asset in a large scale battle. In many ways she's most vulnerable to groups of well-trained conventional combatants, assuming they have ways of dealing with mental fear.
- Single-Minded - Shae'an is very driven towards seeking out and acquiring more knowledge and power, and is pretty disinterested in most anything else. She often has a hard time seeing the big picture or deviating from her personal goals.
Shae'an appears mostly human, except for the gold-colored skin, prominent canines and nictitating membrane characteristic of her species. Fairly unassuming in manner, she tends to affect the manner of an absent-minded xeno-archeologist. The classic 'bestial' firrerroean traits mostly manifest as snarling or growling when frustrated or annoyed. Otherwise the picture works well enough, built the character around the image anyway.
BIOGRAPHY:
Shae'an was born to Firrereoan refugees on the planet Wayland, descendants of a freighter that had been stranded there in the wake of the Gulag Plague outbreak. Shae lived a fairly conventional life on the planet for many years, but was always drawn to the ruined mountain near the town she was born in. From time to time she would make her way there, accompanied by other youths, to explore the cavernous ruins and pick through rubble. While almost all that was ever recovered was junk, the place having been thoroughly looted centuries earlier, Shae felt a strange allure to the place, and at times would simply sit silently in the dark and quiet, letting the feeling of an oddly calming fury flow through her.
Then one day, shortly after she had turned 16, she found a strange object on one of her trips. A crystal, muted and dead with little luster, but in it she felt the same calm and clarity of purpose as was present in the depths of Mount Tantiss. But unlike before it called her not back to the ruins, but instead away from Wayland entirely, to a place unknown.
She left the planet on the next freighter out, taking odd jobs to make passage to wherever or whatever called her. It was an odd journey, seeking what amounted to a whisper on the wind, emotion that tugged at her mind and made her listen. Here and there she collected scraps of books, odd artifacts that were seemingly useless, and bits and pieces of lore and legend.
It wasn't until she first killed that she truly understood what it was she was seeking. As the nautolan salvager she had been hired to help bleed to death beneath her knife she felt his life force leave him and flow into crystal she always carried with her. All his thoughts, emotions, and passions flared for a brief instant and in that moment she felt truly alive.
This was power, true power, and it intoxicated her. Now with a new sense of purpose she began to seek out lore and relics of the Sith, and of sith magic specifically. Her travels took her across the galaxy, and she spent time at various places of higher learning, always using some clever lie or the force to make her way. It was on one such journey to a back-alley pawn shop on Coruscant that she came to the attention of other Sith. Cornered and threatened, she nevertheless went with them willingly, because even though she hated the idea of being controlled by others the opportunity to acquire knowledge was too great.
She served the Sith for barely more than a year, learning the code and ways of the Dark Side and developing basic lightsaber techniques. Then the One Sith began to crumble from within, and her masters followed those would become known as the Rogue Sith. They ordered her to attend them, to face the enemies of the Dark Side at Castameer.
The whisper bade her go a different way. Later when she heard of the destruction of the planet and the annihilation of the Rogue Sith, she did not question why. There was still so much for her to learn, so many secrets to uncover.

FORCE POWERS:
Shae's force skill is mostly rather basic, and largely focused on the acquisition of knowledge and Sith Magic. She possesses a basic talent in most of the normal 'Control' and 'Sense' abilities, and some of the 'Alter.' Those of note listed below.
- Shadow Vision - Novice level training.
- Crucitorn - Mostly used as a derivative of Force Affliction.
- Drain Knowledge - Lots of reading on the subject but limited practical application.
- Force Fear - Some respectable skill here.
- Memory Walk - Like Drain Knowledge, mostly book learning.
- Force Affliction - Fairly decent at this.
Her true passion is for magic and sorcery, but her knowledge there is limited by the general lack of sorcerer masters around. She knows some basic techniques and spells and is very open to learn more, just needs the resources. Abilities of note follow. For now they are mostly focused on altering perceptions and manipulating minds, at a roughly journeyman-level of skill:
- Spell of Concealment - Lots of practice, but mostly used with runes and sith magic to reinforce her amulet.
- Sutta Chwituskak (Flung Spears) - Manifests as glowing black crystals flung or 'fired' with unerring accuracy. She practices with them regularly.
- Summon Fear - Building off the Force Fear, Shae is fairly adept at this 'spell.'
- Sith Runes - Regularly used, in a simple way.
- Dark Side Healing - Limited knowledge, used to buffer the fact she doesn't know other force healing techniques.
- Waves of Darkness - The more advanced version of fear, she has yet to use this in actuality.

EQUIPMENT:
- Amulet - Covered in Sith Runes that imbue it with a semi-permanent 'Spell of Concealment' effect when worn. Has to be recharged occasionally, a lengthy and tiring process, and can be seen through if someone dedicated enough effort or is powerful.
- Lightsaber - Fairly conventional dueling design, with a dark purple blade.
- Darkside Crystal - Found in the depth of Mount Tantiss, the crystal pulses as if alive. Shae can feel its presence in the unlikely event she doesn't have it on her, but it is otherwise undetectable in the force.
