Shadows of the Order (Self training - Open to all)

Vulpesen made sure to prepare himself adequately. He enjoyed the heat, so he would have little problem with that, but it was still good to bring plenty of water. After all, this was a desert they were going to. It was surpising how much he had put this off. It had been on his list of things to learn. Healing, Tutaminis, and electric judgement and stealth abilities were all at the top, but so far he could only heal small wounds and make his fingers crackle with energy, everything else he had no idea how to do. Vulpesen was determined to change this, even if he had to travel to the edge of the galaxy, he would complete his tasks, and this was another step forward.

As he boarded the shuttle, he nodded a hello to @[member="Vexander Graves"], then sat down to read up on the location. He doubted they'd find any trouble, but it was still interesting to read the history on their location. As his eyes scanned the datapad, Vulpesen could feel the force against the padawan, sensing @[member="Arrol Balloch"]'s pull. As he relaxed in his seat, Vulpesen focused intently back on his datapad.

As they finally landed, Vulpesen strode down the ramp, towards the ancient master. "Salutations, and thank you for guiding us here." Considering that this man was skilled enough to appear, reappear, and guide people through the force despite his deceased nature, Vulpesen figured that respect would be a good idea, as well as keeping himself on this person's good side. As the saying goes, "Respect the dead."

Walking down the boarding ramp, Rasu inhaled the warm Tythonian air, the sunlight sparkling off her blue skin. It had only taken them a day since their preparation for the journey, to reach the deep core planet of Tython, which surprised Rasu as it was often very hard to navigate through the constantly collapsing hyperspace lanes. However during the flight, the Shi'ido had felt the presence of a strong force sensitive being and had realised that it was in fact the Force apparition that had spoken to them in the Jedi Archives. With this said, she became aware that the ghost was leading them safely to the ancient planet, avoiding the other dangerous routes. Now with their shuttle safely parked on the planet surface, the Jedi could turn their attention to their studies. Rasu caught up to the other two Jedi who were conversing with the apparition, listening in so she didn't miss out on anything important. They had landed in the Silent Desert, an area that seemed to block out all excess sound, allowing them to train and focus in complete silence, without any distractions. Rasu chose to remain silent, waiting patiently until the training commenced, content with just listening to what her fellow Jedi had to say.

Their ship had landed successfully on the sandy desert, no engine noise, no sound of swirling sand as the engines engaged cool down and waited for them to disembark.

Arrol, of course, did not hear a single word they said. He raised his eyebrow at them, as no sound issued from their mouths. He smiled back though and linked to their collective minds. We shall have to communicate telepathically, he said directly to them, that is the only means to have ourselves heard. He started off toward the natural structures that once held Qigong Kesh. He did not make any sound that was normal for him now, but they are going to be surprised by the lack of noise as they walk, or even breath. Only their own minds will they hear, or the minds of the others if they link.

He arrived at the base of one of the four structures and waited for them.

The young man opened his eyes, surprised at the fact that his vocal cords were moving and he could feel the vibration... but it was impossible to hear any word.

Nodding while he engaged in the telepathic conversation, the young man proceeded to follow while he looked at the datapad... using the same technique he tried before, he began to communicate further with the rest of the team and even the Force Ghost.

Based on the information I found, the main focus of the technique is to use the ilumnation around you and bend it at will... that would be the first step... the second is to work on the sounds and third the Force Presence...

Looking at the Force Ghost as they got closer to one of the structures present in their current location.

...I guess we can just work on step one and three while we work on the second elsewhere. The young man grinned while he waited for instructions or at least hints from the experienced Master to start with the required meditation.

Arrol smiled at the man with the amazing beard, well his still needs to cultivate more to be as good as his, but when ones has time to groom it as he did, then one day it will rival his own. But to Arrol the young man had done his research and knew exactly what was required. Here in the desert there is plenty of light to train with, however the only form of structures to conceal themselves is the natural ones, so a challenge is set for them. The only thing around them is loads of sand and nothingness. But to achieve, or begin to achieve their goals, they need to send time in intense meditation, to be able to connect to their surroundings and began to try and manipulate the light. The desert is the perfect place for such work, the clarity of mind here is extraordinary, there simply is no distractions .. apart from their own thoughts.

You are right Young One, the sounds you need to rid yourself of to become silent, need to be done elsewhere, but one step at a time, you are endeavouring to do something that takes years of training, but you all have taken your first steps. If you train more, in your own solitude then that road will become shorter. However, lets begin at your leisure.

Since Arrol is not effected by sun or sand he simply sat where he stood, however they may wish to find there own quiet place. One can not simply just grab the light and bend it, it is a connection to the force that is required and only through meditation will they find that path. However, Arrol does not need this training, he can do this at will, well.... he is dead. He chuckled to himself .. would have been audible under normal circumstances, but no sound was made.

Vulpesen stopped talking abruptly when he found that there was no sound coming from him. He felt it in his own body, so he could hear something of it, but by the time it left his mouth it was gone. The peculiar act would have made him seem a fool and the thought sent him through some silent laughter. Upon hearing @[member="Arrol Balloch"]'s words, Vulpesen nodded to the master and moved across the dessert sands, looking for a place of solitude. He'd been trained in minor force stealth, and he had read up on this ability as well.

If all went well, he should have it handled fairly quickly, however he wasn't so naive as to think that mastering it would be as easy a task as learning it. Finding a nice spot, Vulpesen sat down and focused himself deep into the force, stretching himself out, attempting to find the light so that he may use it to help him in his goals.

The young Jedi nodded at the Force Ghost as a sign of thanks... the wisdom and assistance of the late Jedi Master was extremely helpful and welcomed. Looking at those Jedi present in the place, Vexander proceeded to look at his own datapad and provided the full details of his research, the information of Powers...

Information available was actually a compendium of two Force techniques: Force Cloak and Force Stealth.

At the end, he managed to compile both techniques into a single term: Force Concealment. There was a reason why he needed to start with basics... light bending and sound bending, then moving forward to Force Concealment... there was a reason why he agreed for other peers to join him into this training... but not all was disclosed.

Once that the data was transfered, he proceeded to smirk at them and share a couple of thoughts before going on his own to meditate Read the information, understand it... I think I do... you'll see why we need to work with steps and what is needed...

With that being said, the young man began to walk away, he wanted them to be share their findings, do a forum, and at the same time, find on their own what was needed, reasons and implications of the training. Not because he wanted to teach them a lesson or anything, but because at the end it would be more beneficial for all.

Ah the young man has done his homework well. Arrol thought to himsef as he could sense the young man's determination. Arrol had began his first stage of meditaton, but was still aware of them and their thoughts and feelings.

In order to achieve this, to bend the light, you must first know your own bodies, you must meditate on this firstly, this Vexander is the first step, bending light requires a strong aware of yourself, before you can begin to wrap the light around you. You must know it physically from within the force and view from the outside with the force, feel your body in your surroundings, if that makes any sense. He opened one eye and looked at them all to see their reactions.

The reason for my bringing you here, it this place removes all distractions and gives you the best possible chance of achieving your awareness of you. As for the sound? I know somewhere close by where we could all go and the sound will be returned to you. It is a little unnerving yes? not been able to hear anything? embrace it and use it.

Vulpesen followed the ghost's instructions, focusing on his body. Training as he had, he was already aware of what was where when it came to his form. Leaping through trees and escaping through little holes had brought him to need complete awareness of his body. Still, it was still good to focus more on the fact.

As he closed his eyes, he entered a certain trance he did when running away from trouble. The things he could feel. The wind, his heart beat, the very pieces of sand that touched his skin, and the robes and jacket which consumed him. All of it appeared in the space around him, defining where he was while his mind filled in the space. The silence had been disturbing at first, but sound was vibration and movement, he had managed to provide a sense of sound with his own heart, though it wasn't a true sound, it felt close enough. @Arrol Baloch @[member="Vexander Graves"] @Rasu Gen @[member="Akodya Mune"]

Rasu became slightly alarmed when she couldn't hear her own breathing or even her heart beat as she walked further into the vast desert. However she calmed herself down when she found that by placing her hand over her chest she could still feel the pulse of her heart under her rib cage. She continued to only listen as the trio communicated telepathically, choosing to take in everything she could before beginning the inevitably long study and training. She followed the group to a large natural stone formation, four giant stone-shaped claws seemed to jut out of the earth and curve in onto what appeared to be a ruined temple. Rejoining the group she listened to the instructions of the deceased master and her fellow Jedi, before picking up a datapad containing the details of the technique and walking over to one of the large stone formations, taking refuge in the shade it provided.

Sitting cross-legged, she positioned herself right at the edge of the shade so that she could hold out her hand and it would be bathed in sunlight while the rest of her body remained in the shade. Here she would focus on bending the light around at first a finger, then her hand and slowly move outwards until she could hide her own arm. Closing her eyes, she opened herself to the Living Force, willing the light to avoid touching her own finger. Opening her eyes to see if anything had happened, she found her finger still visible. This is going to take a while, she told herself, before closing her eyes and beginning to start the process again.
