Dev Shadows of Atrisia

Junko looked at her and nodded. There were several cenotes that had been used.. the largest they had seen was the abyss... a massive one that had several rivers feeding into it. Cascading waterfalls that went deeper and deeper into the underground but you could see them aand you could see the swirling it it where it got really dangerous... but then there was another hole deeper in the center... an open area that just showed you a massive howling darkness full of refracted filtered light... mist and deafening sounds. "It isn't the abyss but it is pretty impressive. There is no mountain carved above though with a moon door."

Miyoung had a look. "The abyss is unique and most signs of it shows it was man-made long ago. The direction of the rivers, the carving of what would basically be the capstone into being its own city would have made it so all surrounded nations had to come to them eventually if they wanted to trade and make good time. The abyss as a deterrent and defense mechanism shows a lot more thought and we have suspected from an engineering the ancient Atrisians helped shape it.. the chi-oni may have adopted some of their things but they have done a lot more with theirr underground cities at the planets core."

Junko was looking at Miyoung and offered a small look. "We can't be sure what the Chi-Oni had... we know a few things. The ancient Atrisians based on the ship they designed and had at the core of Atrisia five had advanced hyperdrives and understanding of hyperspace. Their movements within the navicomputer showed a vast series of lanes and roads that may have long since vanished but that doesn't mean it was a bad thing." She said it and knew Sitharia and Kirano might be able to add more insight.. to a point the Chi-Oni were also largely isolationist compared to the rest of Atrisia and they had no reason not to be.

"THey explored the galaxy well before a lot of the great civilizations... now they are mostly bored with it." Ahri spoke and she had spent time down there... and in study of the ancient vessel.. even overseeing some of the repairs that had gone into it. A feat few others could really attest to aside from Miyoung who said it had been stimulating to work with Ahri in a place she had full control of the project. Barca was still exploring and checking on the guide wires while she was lacing some and spoke over the comlines. "Looks like it narrows enough they were aable to have some wodden platforms between the stonework. Rotted away now but would have been an impressive place to catch things."

Junko listened to herr with an idea forming in her head while the drones were following and mapping it. The tunnel was filled with rushing water which it couldn't get through quickly instead one was going through and fighting the current with Barca remaining there. The other had gone into the water and was mapping for depth, temperature which was not as cold as they thought it would be but was also shallow compared to their first thoughts. Junko could see the bottom on the map which was just blaack from the lack of light. The lichon growing in the high cavern ceilings as it stretched across and over.

"Well the drones are giving us good information and maps.. we'll be able to have the teams exploring and discovering the bigger secrets I am certain." She said it and Miyoung was looking at much of it. They would be able to do a lot more in her mind as she thought about it. "We also have some information that will work here. I could see where if we reinforce it with the newer smart systems we will be able to do a lot more. We could use this area for a fortress and for resource farming... the access to water will be beneficial as it could give us access to the underground wells to purify and clean within the area."

Junko was listening to Miyoung who had a plan and an idea while she looked it over... all fo the things that they were doing here... could have a potential in the future. It was intact enough that she could see it being used... the impressive nature after all of the cavern and city... if they cleared it.. if they didn't have something dangerous down here that could harm them.. they would be able to use it. The court of Staarlight and Ash would be an impressive place to have their soldiers this far out in the deserts and snow. Its proximity to the ancient borders and fortresses... its location as an outpost they could have and with work and engineering housing new buildings on top.

"Do you think it would be able to benefit a refit instead of being a historrical site?" SHe said it as Miyoung looked at her and then she looked at Ahri with a nod. "I think so yes, the location is good... preserving it just to preserve it would be a waste as it is central and has the infrastructure for now at least it could serve as a back up locaation... with reinforcement and refitting many of the aspects we could turn it into a beneficial place. The destabilization in the core alone merits a lot of the changes to our stance on things. I know we are working on fitting the yue generrators to the city to allow improved protocols with the people and cities."

Junko gave a nod of her head to that... Miyoung had some ideas always and was looking at making a bigger picture of what Junko planned or the Emperor wanted. Improving the safety and security of Atrisia itself. She knew they were going to be attacked, they haad been building and being prosperous for far too long. There was bound to be something to harm them but they had plans now contingencies as needed... Jar'Kai would likely happen but that was why the Imperial palace was built in different locations allowing them to secure facilities. The more impressive design of it was sectional with a public visible one and the apartments where the emperor and empress stayed much more secure thanks to their hypergates and far-casting technologies.

Junko was checking on more things that she had.. Miyoung was making designs for herself there in her interface and sharing it based off of the drone scans and Barca's information for them. Tactical development that would be able to be used and where key reinforcements would be needed but they would be able to develop and use the smart tunnels that were made to run throughout the planet like tubes. Securing movement without disrupting the surface itself. She knew a few of the other benefits of having it here.. they could have more terraforming and reconstruction towers for the attacks.. an impressive piece of technology they used to rebuild and now with the hypertech and programmable matter they could fix it faster from debris.

Miyoung seemed more happy though as she looked at Junko. "The lab techs just sent me an alert. The mitigation system that I developed has gone into production. They will begin shipping it out to Atrisian cities and villages as well as areas of importance. Reports on the Lightsworns movements are also coming through. We will be able to track them... thankfully they have avoided many of the major cities." She said it with a look on her face as most of them disliked it... more their attacking others and violating many of the security measures actively was a great way to endanger much of what they had developed on Atrisia.

Junko knew that Miyoung had many more ideas and plans and if they could get all of the technologies made before war broke out.. they would be able to do a lot more. The search for the eternity crystal was important after all... if it really did what they wanted it to do or what it said.. they would be able to weaponize it and restore aspects of their world if attacked. So they had broken open one of the masive treasury vaults that the min had built... hundreds upon hundreds of trillions of credits able to be made and used for the purpose of funding the expeditions to find unique and are technologies or materials to aid the Commonwealth.

Junko was taking in more of it and she looked at Miyoung putting a hand on her shoulder and wrapping her arm around her. "YOu have a plan already and I know you have worked on other aspects of it... whatever is needed we are more then happy to provide as we have a fair amount of defenses to continue to develop. I know the emperor was formulating an expansion on the smart tunneling system, an improvement to the modules there so we can use the far-casting to move soldiers and the few civilians who are unable to fight in the event of a war. ALso having it set up so false transponders set invading forces down in Ukiyo among the taeki.. let the cannibals eat them."

She said it and debated if it would be possible.. as a potential weapon they would be able to do it. The planet had the far-casting system for a reason... not that reason but they would be under attack and anything would be accepted to haandle it. The idea of a fallback area like this was important as well. THey could make bunkers as Miyoung spoke. "Adjustments could be made to the technologies but usually areas designated dangerous can't be done... a bypass would be needed and talking with Sasori since this could be seen as a big violation of the contracts we have with them... one world doing it could lead to others and they might be less savory about its use."

"We'll have to plan for other things as well, there is always the danger of attack but most try and destroy the surface of the planet. To kill billions to do many things. We have the null and solace we could use but we will need to deploy a few other measures." Miyoung said it as Junko looked at her and Miyoung was good.. she might not understand all of the force talk but she knew an important aspect when she saw it.. better she knew when something needed to be worked on and cultivated. "Well you know I can always help." Junko said it on offer with a smile as the handmaiden looked at her. "Oh you are going to be needed."

That got a smile. "Good cause I have countermeasures, ideas and with the latest intel our networks have gathered... we are going to need a lot more." She said it but had things prepared as Barca finally came back and rejoined them. Junko coming back to the moment as a number of the ideas and contingencies were something that they had to set up and prepare... here and now she would work with them to really push making sure what they explored meant something. "What is your tactical opinion Barca?" SHe said it and looked at the large mandalorian who tapped her chin for a moment before she spoke with a grin.

THe mandalorian was looking at her and gave a nod of her head. "We will be able to use it, with reinforcement of key areas as Miyoung wants. Once reinforced we use the smart tunnels and shielding to hide the location, the resource modules to ensure the fisheries are here as well. There is plenty of water and we can use it... with the flash cloned livestock we will be able to have different fruits, veggies and meats. Fresh source of water that can be cleaned and shielded. The air has the benefit of the lichon that releases more oxygen in a self contained area so we can use that along with the fabricators to make it work."

SHe was looking at many parts of it and they were all presenting parts. She knew Barca's was tactical, Miyoungs structural.. Min would have something to add and SHoma would bring a lot together as he liked moving assets and preparing some of their bigger plans. She grinned o herself though and looked at the blue glowing lichen itself. It glowed more when she was close to it. Her hand hovering over it when it was reacting to the force energies she used to touch it to feel it... to follow the lines of it throughout the cavern and city and cenote... the massive caves all linked. It was its own enclosed ecosystem.

Barca was looking at more of it as she motioned where the drones would need to go and be set up.. they were scanning while giving information and feedback to the shield gates they were deploying and the ablative walls. To seal off predation areas creatures might be coming from. With sensors to monitor and see what might be able to happen. Miyoung rejoined Ahri who had found various artifacts to look over and at they could distinguish. She seemed excited about it at least when all three of them were approaching. Her head coming up while she pointed to a few of them. "Be careful, the pottery and ceramics are impressive."

Junko looked at them as Miyoung did as well and AHri offered a smile. "Their technique is beautiful. The dyes are maintaining.. which would have been costly at the time for surre but it also maintains the level for us now that they are untouched." She was excited with it and had moved several of them to be stacked in their different colors. Miyoung was looking at it and going over many of the other pots, pans and cups that had been brought over. Her interest in some of it as she looked at the cups. "It looks like they sealed the interior with wax to hold it. Smart and the dyes are crushed bugs based on the pigments... expensive and time consuming."

Junko gave a nod of her head to that, pigments were important to many things that they had dealt with and even more. She could see the beauty here as everything gleamed nice and shiny. "It is beautiful though and the pigments we have seen remade synthetically but it is tricky... kind of loses that quality when it doesn't have those impurities." She said it and well there was also the small partially crushed bug limbs... those were amazing in many ways. You had to be able to look at them and find the beauty but... there would be a lot more to what they had. She knew some of the dyes used for kimonos and clothing were just the same but it was also the river waters used for it.

"We can add it to the historical displays, more we can see about using the new flash cloning to see about remaking the older methods. For those who want to make classic designs we can have around the commonwealth." She said it and Ahri looked up and at her with a grin. "It would be something impressive to see if we could. The older ways were not the best for quantity but they lasted... we have had to upgrade to the materia to mirror and capture the longevity of the older designs." Ahri was looking at it and more so at a handful of other things she found. The cups were nice as were the water jugs with an inner capstone of limestone to filter.

Junko was looking at more of it the beauty as she was prepared for anything. She knew Miyoung could do just about anything for them and it would all work out.. of that she had no doubt to say the least. Ahri was only proving how beautiful she really was with all of her science technobabble talk... like beautiful hot and sexy... a school teacher in a tight top hot... oh yeah and Barca well.. Barca was the model of efficient design as she moved. The mandalorian had some other qualities as all four of them had managed to converge into another area. She breathed in and out finding a place to sit down and relax. "This has already been an exciting day."

Junko clapped with her hands for that as she found a place to sit. Here in the open but it was also here as Barca was moving with the shield gates to put them around the group. Their makie drones were flying and joined developing and improving. Junko could see the lichon around them glowing still while they brought out the brazierr with some attention to the space. Now that they were able to spread out two or three braziers it was like a maassive stove for them.. with a metal plate being put over them as it adjusted. To start heating up. Ahri put down some rice and eggs, the seasoning packs, the meats and veggies going into the rice.

The air in the makeshift camp was thick with the comforting, savory aroma of a well-deserved meal. Four women, their day's grueling work temporarily set aside, were diligently preparing their food. A large pot of rice bubbled gently, mingled with the enticing scents of meats and vegetables being sautéed and seasoned, promising warmth and sustenance. Simultaneously, they were focused on rehydrating their staple: ration packs that would transform into a simple, hearty bread. Water was carefully applied to the dry, compressed blocks, a routine but essential step in their rugged existence. The quiet sizzle and the faint, earthy smell of the rehydrating rations blended with the richer cooking smells, creating a symphony of homely comfort in their unconventional setting. Each woman moved with a practiced economy of motion, the shared task a silent, bonding ritual before they transitioned back to the demanding reality of their mission.

Their attention, however, wasn't solely on the meal. The hum of their makie droids signaled a crucial transition. As the small autonomous units returned from their surveillance runs, the women paused their cooking. Miyoung's face broke into a relieved smile as her own droid landed softly nearby. Without prompting, it began projecting its data logs, casting holographic images and streams of information for the others to see. "We made good progress," Miyoung announced, her voice carrying a note of satisfaction as she reviewed the projections. "With Kanna's latest input, we should be able to significantly improve our own mapping down here." She pointed to several highlighted segments on the spectral map. "And the other drones that have been getting scent down have been exceptionally helpful in filling in and tagging some of the more hostile areas." The food was nearly ready, but the immediate necessity of processing this new, vital intelligence held them captive, their simple dinner providing the fuel for their next set of calculated moves.

Junko was taking the moment to enjoy it, the food had delicious flavoring even for being rations and that was the point. THey had spent more on making sure the flavor would be there and then focused on the means to turn it into a ration.. with the heat of the brazier on the metal sheet... it only added to it while the rice was cooked. The droids cleaning it before everything burnt on. She sat there watching as Barca was on one side of her and Ahri on the other, Miyoung finding a place her small frame could fit among the three of them as Barca was feeding her some of the berries she had rehydrated from the ration packs.

Miyoung had a look of contentment on her face though as she was being fed. "This was fun princess, we learned a few things but most importantly... we didn't get lost down here and have to have Kanna come and rescue us.. I think my sense of direction is getting better." Barca was looking at her and she stroked her hair while checking on the beautiful princess at her side. "I learned some of your older kingdoms were skilled but they seem to have lost a lot of it.. or maybe it is just the need for these intricate areas of defense and function." The nod she was giving was good for all of them though and she was prepared with interest.

Junko looked at the mandalorian with a nod of her head. "It is reactive the oldest kingdoms we have discovered were in a chaotic time of war... it would have been after the Chi-Oni had gone underground to their own world and when the world was recovering.. the surface was dangerous. They had to protect themselves and there were species in the galaxy that were hostile to everyone... still are but most of them have died out for now." Junko said it with a look on her face though.. the history had more attacks and they had learned from those as well. The more recent ones had given them a lot of contrast in some cases but they would be able to improve and continue to improve.

Barca seemed to think about it and offered a shrug of her shoulders. "We shall see princess. I honestly wouldn't make a point to attack Atrisia. The commonwealth is better able to rally.. more so you have spent years with your brother and family developing more countermeasures to things. as stubborn as the mandalroians can be a challenge is nice... this would be something they approached with the entire clans in toe... to go toe to toe with an unassailable fortress as opposed to an overwhelming attack force." She said it as a compliments. "But the clans are not as dumb as some believe they would save this until there were no allies to come and help and after preparing rather then on impulse."

"Oh I think many things.. I have fought several mandalorians and befriended a few as well... most are smarter then the collective whole... usually the leadership is more the impulsive ones." She said it but had a small look of enjoyment to that while she was going eating some fo the food and feeding Ahri. The other woman leaning back against the wall they had secured with two ablative sections and clothing for padding. TO stay warm the brazziers could easily radiate around them with more space. "Well it isn't an alcove that is completely secured but if we set the makie to patrol mode, the shield gates up just right and the ablative walls we will be able to do a lot."

Junko looked at her as their makeshift bed area and home was still beautiful. "Ah it is perfect, all we need is a few serving girls walking around with wine or tea and it will be domestic bliss." She said it as a joke but there was few things she questioned when it came to having Ahri here... Miyoung and Barca or the others over the headset coms. THey could at least keep in touch while PHaidor she knew was listening in. Kanna had sent down more drones though aas she was able to look with a smile on herr face. "Beautiful Kanna. I can see all of the drones and they have started the reinforcement of the area." A smile on her face. "THank you princess I live to ensure you are happy."

SHe smiled over the comlink of the interface with a nod of her head. "As you should Kanna, cause I am awesome." That got laughs from everyone who was there. Junko leaning against Ahri who was watching the braziers now. "Well it isn't as romantic as a campfire but... don't have to worry about smoke or setting things on fire if we fall asleep.. or cleaning up in the morning, or firewood." There was a look but she wrapped an arm around Junko with a smile on her face. "Though I do get to do this... could be worse... could be better. Kind of missing the piles of everyone on that massive and obscenely comfy bed that you have."

Junko smiled to that, she could think of a few ideas that they would be able to take with it. Her massive beds were made for all of her haandmaidens to be close to her, for guests as a form of protection and the palaace of the hidden was a beautiful place in its own right. "Well it didn't start that large but to have all of my bodyguards and friends close it needed to be. I am very important you know." She said it with a small smile of teasing on her face and AAhri rolled her eyes. "That you are we should just lock you in a tower away from the world to be kept safe... when we get baack we can start building a tower."
