Rationale: After rising through the ranks of the Shadow Empire to become part of the "Big 3". Ice sought an opportunity to expand the Empires supplies of weapons, armor, and technology. As such, he used his position within the Empire to get the funding required to start this business, and expand on it.

Shadow Tech Industries has begun to make a name for itself in the world of espionage, and elite special forces equipment. Nothing is too exotic! That is their philosophy. Essentially, Shadow Tech Industries is striving to be your one shop for all your classified needs. As such, the "Cube" which also forms the companies headquarters, was built to house the eight different sections which formed STI operations. Each section housing the R&D, as well as manufacturing areas for the products they would make.
These sections are:
1. Rifles
2. Pistols
3. Melee Weapons
4. Armor
5. Cloning / Raw Materials Prep
6. Tools / Misc.
7. Poisons / Tranquilizers
8. Warehouse (Storage of raw materials, and finished products awaiting transport)
The company believes, that by having everything on board a ship, they are much safer from the political and destructive drama that plagues the galaxy on a near constant basis. This safety is accomplished by simply being able to fly away to safety, should an apposing army move in. Due to the secretive nature of their equipment designs, this tactic also keeps them safe from from slicers who would attempt to hack into networks through traditional land lines. It also means that anyone wishing to break in and raid the facility, would first have to somehow get on board. A task difficult since the only two hangar bays are always occupied.
The rather extreme measures the company has taken for safety and security also allows them to boast that any customer wishing to create something one of a kind and unique, will have something stay one of a kind and unique. As it is all but impossible to steal files from this place.
In keeping with the idea of nothing is too exotic, STI aquired some rather amazing animals through a large purchase from AEL. With these animals on hand, STI began a cloning operation to make sure they had a constant a ready supply of these rare creatures. The process used, was one that allowed full grown animals to be made in a mere few weeks. This hyper fast process led to nearly all of the animals being brain damaged, as it did not allow enough time for their brains to properly develop. It mattered little to STI, as they were not meant for training as pets or war animals. Different portions of these cloned beasts, were then used to make many different products such as armors, poisons, and much more.
Being that company is owned by Ice and mostly funded by the Shadow Empire. Orders from people claiming allegiance to the One Sith Empire are immediately refused. All other factions and groups are welcome though. The company likes to operate as green as it possibly can. Believing that only by protecting the environment they wish to work in, can they continue to expand. Especially since most of their products come from nature in one way or another. This is yet another reason why the company opted to build its operations into the "Cube".
