Shadow port Ticon...

[member="sabrina"] [member="Vhette"]

Sanctuary was a quaint little place. It was far removed from the roiling strife and war that plagued the galaxy, yet still close to the beaten path as to be useful. It was here Colap had met Regor and the Galactic Liberation front.

It was here Colap had set up shop over the following weeks. He visited off and on between jobs and wild adventures. Today was the last day, the day when everything would fall in place. All he had to do was put the finishing touches on the place.

Clad in a dirty tan tunic with a black vest and his gun belt slung over his hips Colap walked into the hangar bay and looked around. There were multitudes of crates and shelves, docking arms, dry dock equipment for small ships, and it was a bit rusty.

The dome shaped hangar had an opening in the top where vessels could come in and pick their parking spot.

As the droids welded away, finishing up the dome Colap patted Solar his Corellian Wolfhound behind the ears, puffing his cigar.

"Well everything looks like it's coming along here Solar. What say we go check out how the others are doing in the cantina below!"

He walked towards a hidden lift and stepped in. Seconds later he stepped out below ground, and into the Ticon Cantina....

Safe havens and hideouts were useful things to have. To have a multitude of them across the galaxy, where you could be hidden and protected at the same time, were as useful a resource as Lommite ore for durasteel. As that particular metal was used to construct behemoths of war ships, these hidden places could be the places where governments could be taken down and business could be tended too.

Vhette was an unknown person to the assorted smugglers, mercs, bounty hunters and crime lords that she was beginning to meet with. Colap was one of them and he had yet to ask questions. He probably would, giving the setting of the cantina that she was currently sat in. She was taking a brief break; and the cloud of smoke that had gathered was coming from the cigarette that hung in between her index and middle fingers. An ashtray had been placed beside her on the table.

"Hey ya'll how's it hanging down here,?" Colap asked as he strode up to the bar.

The Cantina was his baby. It was lit by neon lights, with a soft bluish glow overtaking the other hues. On the walls hung the banners of the smugglers Alliance, and an Honorary GLC banner, since they had given him the space. There was a dance floor with the bar in the center, and the tables built around the outside of the dance floor all in a circle.

Fendor the bartender waved at Colap.

"Hey boss!"

Colap waved back, lighting another Cigar. The sweet Endor tobacco smell mixed with the harsh fumes from Vhette's cigarette.

"I see you guys got the place mostly set up."

Solar his wolfhound ran up to Vhette sniffing her voraciously.

"Hey cut it out Solar." Colap said, giving the hound a swift smack on the behind.

Flora had just came into the cantina, it was safe place to do business. As pirate she need little dens of iniquity, so she could do deals and get information about potential targets. This place was just one those place, where things could be done. She headed to bar, and got herself a glass of rum. Then sat down, and looked around to see if she could make some contact here.

She was interested in mainly acquiring targets, this place would be good for it. As smugglers did work for the bigger companies, and as such they new where she might need to strike. Though getting such information, was always dubious at best.

Colap spotted Flora as she came in and gave a wave. She looked like the Pirate type, or a Merc but he couldn't be sure. Everyone was settling in pretty well. Another plume of smoke filtered out of his nostrils as the cigar blazed away.

"Fendor give our guests a round on the house eh?"

"Yess boss!"

"Stop calling me boss, Im not a damn tyrant."

Fendor chuckled and went about his work pouring a drink for the new lady. Colap waved her over to join the group.

She looked up at the cigar smoking man, and smiled as he told the bar man to get her drink. He could be decent contact as well. He waved at her to join him, at his table. She decide to join him and his group. After all she was here to make friends, and potential allies.
She head up the stairs, and to join his party. She sat down, and asked I am flora, you are? She then took a sip of her rum, and placed the glass on the table.

"Colap Ticon, Nice to meet you gorgeous."

Colap passed her his business card.

"I do a little of this and a little of that for various people. Mostly a jack of all trades."

As he finished he slammed his beer and uncapped a second, as Fendor passed it to him. Good old Fendor, already knew Colap too well.

"What is it you do?"

well [member="Colap Ticon"], I do a little of everything. To be honest what ever can turn a profit, I am up for. This was true but she got special type of buzz, from relieving others of their hard gotten gains. She could never understand why, but it was true. Freighters carrying goods, being forced to hand over their gear, at the point of turbo cannon. Though she need to more about the guy, before she tells him she a pirate for the black suns. As some people get jittery, when they meet a real pirate. That usually as they have rather large crew, and ship full of weapons.

"Sounds suspicious!"

Colap cast a glance a round the room, looking at the cantina and feeling a sense of pride swell up in him. A couple months ago he'd been broke, but now he was getting richer by the day, both financially and otherwise.

It was at this time that he remembered he had to check on the hangar and the shop, and make sure the droids weren’t inadvertently cutting the place apart.

"C'mon ya'll we can talk upstairs, I might need a hand finishing the hangar."

Colap moved to the turbolift, hitting the switch and the secret lift, disguised as a wall swung open..

"Thanks for having me over. I look forward to doing more jobs with you." She spoke of the recent job on Ryloth. She hadn't spoken to Colap much, but she could see a potential friendship there. After all, they had some things in common. She put out the ciagrette and blew out the rest of the plumes she had inhaled but smoothing out the creases in her lap and folding one leg over the other. She leaned back on her seat and had one arm on the table, near the ashtray.

"Won't say no to a free drink. I'll have a Netra Gale." Green drink, that was Netra Gale. Smelled and tasted of candy, with a fresh minty and alcohol taint on the end. A nice drink for a conversation, at any rate. So long as you remembered to lick your teeth afterwards, that is. Her hazel eyes lifted to Flora when she joined them at the table. Vhette remained a quiet presence for the moment after her drink was served.

"You're welcome!" Colap uttered stubbing the cigar out on his boot as he entered the lift.

The sound of clanking metal and crazed yells from the Twi'lek engineers he'd hired could be heard above. That was not a good sign and Colap let his hand stray briefly to the Westar at his side, before retracting it.

"Better get up there, sounds like all hells breaking loose."

She new a bit about space ship engines, and asked Do you want me to have a look? The more she could learn about these people, the more likely she could find out if she could trust them. If she could it would be profitable for all them, but where they the right type scum for the job. He was friendly enough, though that could be down side as well as an up side. As he might not want to tell her anything, and remove her form the premises if he did not like pirates.

"Yeah lets go!"

The lift shot upwards and then came to halt with a jolt. Colap almost fell over when it stopped, and was thrown into the door.

"Kark I'll have to fix that."

Then the doors opened and the scene unfolding before him was...interesting.

Workers were fighting with the welding squadron of robots as they scrambled to and fro trying to cut up things that were not supposed to be cut. Notable things included the slices in the side of Colaps Z-95 headhunter and the Salvage melting foundry. Whilst the workers chased them about they buzzed about, little droid voices chirping.

"Hey Foreman, what the hells going on up here?"

The foreman wheeled to face Colap and spread his hands wide.

"Looks like they were spotty to begin with sir. The hutt that sold em said they'd been re-purposed from combat, but they were supposed to wiped and reprogrammed. I'm guessing they just did half wipe and now they regressed."

Colap shook his head and drew his Westar-35. The Silvery blaster glistened in the low yellow lights of the hangar.

"Kark it, shoulda known better than to trust that slimeball, alright stand aside, I gotta stop these tinheads from tearing up my shop." Colap said, a new cigar freshly lit and bouncing in the corner of his mouth as he spoke.

He took aim at the first droid as the workers scrambled and squeezed the trigger...

She smiled, as pulled out her disruptor carbine. She loved using this weapon, as left no evidence for the police. Well other than a pile of dust, which was no use to them.

She then aimed it a droid, and squeezed the trigger and let out a burst of fire, towards the droids. She giggled a bit as she did.

The first droid stummbled to the ground and smoke filled the hangar as its torso caught on fire. In unison the other droids wheeled and targeted in on Colap, wielding their welders like swords and charging over to him.

With a grin he spun the blaster a few time around his finger and crouched low, planting a double tap in one droids eye, then shifting focus to hit the second in the sternum. As the third came in , it swung the torch at Colap who sidestepped, barley missing the flame.

With a grunt he snatched the light weight mechanical droid by the neck and wrenched the torch out it's hand. The droid was then thrown into the oncoming last two, sending them toppling to the ground all pinned and mixed up in each others limbs.

Colap passed the torch over to Flora.

"You want to cut 'em up?"

"Don't bother, Captain... I'll zap 'em."

I was late to the party, clearly. There were haywire droids everywhere, and my fingers twitched with excitement at Force Lightning coalesced at the muzzle of my rifle, letting me aim at one of the bigger scrap-hunks, and sending him down in a steaming pile of plating.

I smiled slightly at the thought of a chance to practice my aim, and another bolt of lightning fired from the muzzle of my gun.

"Well, I'm not gonna hog them all."

As the last of the droid dropped Colap wiped the back of his hand across his forehead, removing droplets of sweat. The group had moved quick to save the shop which was good, but there was still one more order of business to attend to for the day. Clean up...

"Alright well guys, the shop was almost ready but now it's destroyed. I'm going to need your help."

Colap looked around sizing up tasks.

"Firstly, all my power cables need to be hooked back up, and any damaged ones replaced. I need these last beams welded in over here," Colap pointed to where a section of the domes catwalks near the dry dock area was about to fall over.

"I also need someone to operate the crane to move the last of my equipment off the Interceptor."

Colap pointed again, to his massive box like ship that lay dormant on the landing pad.

"Once everything’s done I can start cranking out parts and doing re-fits on vessels. You guys can get a job for free, whatever ya like!"

"You're full of genorisity today, aren't you Colap?" Vhette emerged from the place she had been standing, watching them shoot droids. Typical criminal behavior. "If it has nothing to do with me, then don't get involved." Selfish. "I'll hook your cables up for you. Why did these droids act like that anyway?"

She slung her disrupter carbine over her back, and looked at the others. Then asked the most simplest of questions, though it was the most important one. Whom the feth did you screw over, as let`s face they ones who screwed you back. He had to done someone over, for them to go to this effort. As it not easy to reprogramme a load droids to go berserk at once.

Colap gave them a sidelong look as he swung the torch, cutting the jumbled droids in half and then continued to chop them into smaller pieces.

"Let's just say there is certain Hutt's who have it out for me. The details are kinda private, but if you help me get this knocked out and I trust you enough, maybe I’ll tell you."

Colap didn't mention that he owed the certain hutts thousands of credits for a gambling debt, nor that he had robbed several of their casinos several times, but that was a story for another day.

With a brisk step he dropped the torch and moved toward the Interceptor. The torch hit the decks with a metallic clang and Colap stubbed out his cigar on the side of his half destroyed ship. It was twice now that the vessel had been destroyed, and it was getting on his nerves.

Lighting a fresh cigar he grabbed the handles on the inside of the bulkhead and began to power up the crane...
