The Shadow Mobile Turret, or SMT, is nothing new as far as technology is concerned. The three small, but strong claw like legs allow it to slowly move to a new position when required, but the system switches to a pilot mode, and the cannon can no longer be operated during this mode. Enough of these things firing a Corvette class hovering in the sky could take one out, and normally kills anything it hits with one shot. The problem, however, is that the cannon fires slowly, and takes time to recharge for another shot, and requires a sentient body to operate as it has no automatic systems. This thing is very heavy, requiring machinery to assist in flipping it over should it tip. Jawas can run faster than this thing can walk.
