SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shadowsilk: The outer shell of the armor is crafted with shadowsilk to dampen sound and abosorb light.
  • Reflec: Duraplast vest, boots, helmet are coated with this polymer to make the user more difficult to detect.
  • Heads Up Display (HUD): Along with an augmented view of the world, AVSP also displays figures and text, superimposed over the AR image feed. A user can cycle through the HUD display through the use of their eyes, voice commands, or through use of cybernetic implants.
  • Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition (MFTAS) - Onboard sensors mounted are on either side of the visor, capable of collecting electromagnetic, magnetic, mass, and acoustic readings.
  • Visor - Constructed from transparisteel, the visor functions to both protect the user and enhance their perception with a panoramic display built into the inner layers. The visor features an automatic polarization function to protect the user against glare and sudden flashes.
  • Life Support: The suit features a life support system that can support the user for up to two hours in hazardous environments or in vacuums. By default, it’s deactivated in favor of the using the above filtration system for air intake from the surrounding atmosphere.
  • Utility Belt & Tactical Vest: Worn over the armor, these items offer the user the option to carry additional ammunition and equipment. A standard loadout includes grenades, grappling hooks, ion flares, energy rations, spare comlink, medpacs, energy sinks, combat deionizer, and wrist binders.
Strengths:
  • High resistance against blasters: the armor weave provides reasonable protection against this type of attack, but coupled with the added lining of Protera, this gets a bit of a boost. Together, this pairing also provides protection against slugs and stabs (multiple strikes will cause the material to break down, however).
  • Light absorption/sound dampening: the shadowsilk body suit makes this idea for low-light conditions where stealth is needed.
  • Environmental protection: Layers of triadex fabric filter out harmful spores, bacteria, and airborne contaminants, and liquids. Life support can be activated when in dire need (two hours).
Weaknesses:
  • Low protection against ballistic attacks: as this set is built around ease of movement and agility, the light armor provides little protection against high velocity and/or large caliber projectile attacks.
  • Very little protection against sonic weapons.
  • Acids and corrosives will cause the armor to break down and become ineffective.
DESCRIPTION
With the Silver Shadows back in action, a new set of basic armor was needed to outfit the members. As the Shadows engage in covert operations, they needed lightweight armor that would give them protection and ease of movement. The body glove was crafted with three different textiles that provide provide protective properties. Armorweave is the main construction of the body glove, then a layer of protera was added to give added protection against blasters, small ballistics, and knives. The outermost layer is a thin web of shadowsilk that is effective at absorbing light and dampening sound. Along with the coating of reflec, this makes the wearer very difficult to detect with sensors. The ensemble is completed with a Duraplast vest worn over the top, and a fairly standard helmet.

As such, this armor does offer moderate protection against lightsabers -- but a heavy blow would leave the armor severely damaged. Multiple strikes from any weapon will cause the material to breakdown. This armor offers little in the way of protection from ballistics and sonic weaponry. Exposure to any acids or corrosive materials will cause the armor to breakdown and expose the user to damage.

Shadowsuit: Can be worn under or over the armor
I'd like to hear a little bit about how the Shadowsuit changes as it's worn over or under the armor. It is a bit oversized to make this work? Are there any drawbacks that occur when it is worn over the armor?

I'd like to see the weakness area amended to providing low protection against all ballistic attacks in general, given that this seems to be sole area where this armor underperforms compared to standard.

Given that this armor also has significant stealth features, I would also like to see one other resistance area where the armor is less than average to help balance this out. Some areas to potentially consider include EMP/Ion weapons, Sonic weapons, acids/corrosions, and so forth.

[member="Gir Quee"] - Thanks for your help! Edits have been made to he requested areas. I chose to eliminate the shadowsuit and opt for an outer layer of shadowsilk instead, just to simplify.
