SPECIAL FEATURES
- Modularity: The basic SG-68 can be reconfigured into 3 distinct variants by adding secondary weapon pods.
- Sensor Suite: The SG-68 can tell the difference between hostile and friendly entities, though it can be fooled with a sufficient disguise.
- Low-Power Mode: When the area is not under likely immediate threat but still needs guarding, the SG-68 goes into a low-power mode to save energy.
- Automated or Manual: Each SG-68 emplacement is fully automated by default, but Dile can manually take control of them if necessary.
- Modular Versatility: The SG-68 can be reconfigured into its modular variants to fulfill specific purposes.
- Fire Rate: The SG-68 has overwhelming rate of fire that can shred all but the most heavily armored opponents.
- Immobile: Once an SG-68 is built, it is not going anywhere without being disassembled.
- Range Limit: The SG-68’s sensors do not extend forever, and if an enemy has a sufficiently long ranged weapon, they can destroy it without fear of reprisal.
The SG-68 Sentry Emplacement is the backbone of the defense networks Dile Congor builds in his job as a combat engineer. Thanks to his efforts, SG-68s can be found defending the fortress of plenty of planetary governors, spice cartel bosses, and outer rim warlords. The SG-68 was one of Dile’s first inventions as a combat engineer, and one of his most deadly. Its rotary blaster barrel gives it a blinding fire rate guided with deadly accuracy from its automatic sensor suite. Any target not shredded to pieces by this will have to contend with its top mounted rocket pod’s explosive vollies. The SG-68 can also be mounted with additional weapon pods on its sides to create three distinct variants: the SG-68a, SG-68b, and SG-68c. The SG-68a contains flamethrowers designed to be used against large numbers of organics, the SG-68b has E.M.P. grenades designed to disable swathes of droids, and the SG-68c is armed with acid canisters to weaken armored foes. Dile has built enough SG-68s over the years that he can set one up in only 5 minutes, a time which can be cut down even further with his droids assisting him.
