Nilia Saavilin
Godless

(n) french - the fine, light rain that falls from a clear sky at sunset or in the early hours of night; evening serenity
Eadu, Irenic, The Senatory Hall, Nilia's Office, Early EveningLately, it seemed everyone was seeking Sovereignty favour.
That wasn't bad. Not bad at all, really, it was anything but. Sure, it meant more work, but that's what Nilia had signed up when she had campaigned and won her seat in the Senate. Work came with that territory, and so did negotiations between smaller groups interested in her government and what it could offer.
Eddak Manod. Admittedly, the name had never crossed her desk or been thrown around in the various social circles that she occupied, but that was to be expected. From what her assistant had procured on the man prior to their meeting today, he was a soldier, and soldiers often didn't mix with high society politicians. The military wasn't her forte, but she was willing to step out of her comfort zone if it meant opening dialogues with potential friends.
Slowly the Senator took a sip of her tarine tea, letting the warm feeling come over her as she awaited his arrival. Brown eyes flicked up to the window at the other end of the room, where it revealed Eadu and her capital Irenic were experiencing more of the same classical storms and rain that she'd come to expect and love from her homeworld. Normally she wouldn't take a meeting so important at a time where it was almost dusk, but it was also fairer on their visitors; it was harder to land in such violent storms as those, and while the city offered moderate shelter, it'd still be one hell of a trip from the ports to the Senatory Hall across the city. Her offices would be, for the lack of a better word, the 'battlegrounds' this evening. It was and would be a simple meeting, though she spoke with the authority of the Senate and the Sovereignty behind her. No pressure.
It was now a simple matter of waiting for the man of the hour to at last arrive, which Nilia was more than happy to do. She had her tea, and she had her storms, which meant any amount of time could fly by easily.
