Any particular reason it's not a thing? Looking at renditions of maps attempting to express what EU and Canon faction influences would have looked like sometimes shows examples of Republic space surrounded by Sith controlled space.

I know at one point this has been brought up but curious is it's capable of being a thing now as the map game is much cleaner than tentacle monsters we used to have.

It's not a thing for 3 reasons:

• Problematic for the map software we use.
• Confusing for people to see factions HRE'd all around the map.
• Negates the ability to cloudbreak another faction.
