Sen's Fortress

It was a glacial underground. A breezy whirlwind of icy caverns and flowing blue waters. Peaceful and calm. Silent and serene. Untouched by the greater galactic civilization except for the ancient shipwreck high, high above. Bracketed and perched high up against the sky. The locals called this place Sen's Glacier. The shipwreck they called Her Fortress. Both were a maze of endless tunnels and frozen landscaping. A perfectly blue and peacefully blissful place. Perfect to get lost in.

Jessica's Starfighter sat upon the uneven top deck of Her Fortress. Easily seen. A bright red billowing flag marked her arrival to all passer's by. Twirling endlessly in the wind. Yet it was in the frozen underground that she now remained. Falling deep, deep into the wide blue earth. Looking up towards the sunlight peaking through the glacier's many crevasses. Warming it's gentle blue rivers long beneath. Smiling up towards a foreign sun with her boots chipping into the warm clever ice below.

Here she sat. In her fuzzy brown cape and covered by her fuzzy brown hat. Waiting like a picnic's unopened surprise. Holo-book in hand. Patient by the water's edge. For poor [member="Odin Stormbreaker"] to arrive.

From the skies above, a freighter came down onto the planet's surface and landed gracefully on the flattest surface that could be found in the vicinity. Those who knew the ship, knew it was Flugnir and in the pilot's seat was Odin Stormbreaker, the Valkyri Jedi Knight. The Valkyri had been summoned to this part of Eira Pechal by another for reasons unknown to him. He never liked to ask why. Plus, he could not deny a chance to meet with another Jedi and expand his list of acquaintances. He had only just recently arrived at the Jedi Praxeum so there were plenty of new faces he was eager to meet. [member="Jessica Rye"] was on his agenda today.

"R6, stay with the ship. I'm on my own for this one."

The protocol droid beeped affirmatively. Odin made his way off the ship and began looking around for signs of life in the arctic wasteland. Odin noticed a starfighter not that far from his position. Someone else was there with him. Had to have been Jessica. Odin descended into the caverns below, suspecting she awaited him there. He was so used to being in the cold winters of Midvinter that being surrounded by glaciers felt right at home for him. As he came down, sunlight peeking through the crevices of the cavern shined off his armor, making him rather easy to see as he came through.

And then he saw her. Sitting there in the cold, covered head to to in fur. Remind him of the women of home, somewhat. Just a bit smaller. "Hello there."

Gosh. He was tall. More so in his shining armors. It made a bright impression in these icy blue caverns. Down here, even his greeting echoed loud and thunderous against the wide open walls.

"And hello-hello to you too, Master Stormbreaker. Hehe."

She quickly stood up and brushed away the formalities,

"Sorry. And. Can I just call you Odin? I'm Jess. Jessica Rye. Formally a Knight of the Praxeam and of Fondor. Pleased to meet you."

She gave a quiet bow of her head. Then motioned for him to approach.

"Welcome to the winter glacier. It's... a bit out of the way, yes. I know. And cold. And wet. But, anyway. Thank you for coming all the same."

Jess put down her holo-book next to her other things. A few data pads, boxed components, a space heater, heavy wire, an empty case of drinks, etc. It was obvious she had been down here for awhile already. Probably mining crystals or exploring the shipwreck by the looks of things.

"And, yes. Sorry about the mess. I've been prospecting for raw minerals all morning down here. Just finished chipping in the last beacon a moment ago down by the river. I was about to call it a day. Hehe."

She took off her fuzzy hat and fiddled with in it her hands. A bit bashful by the look of her smiling cheeks and ruffled ponytail,

"Sorry. I talk a lot when I'm nervous. Um. Yeah. Mm. So anyways. ...Ah! How are you today?"

The amount of energy this woman had almost overwhelmed Odin. She was rather excited for something. Odin didn't really question it. He just continued the conversation.

"You may call me Odin. I prefer it." He bowed respectively in response to hers. "I thank you for your welcome, my lady. This place reminds me of home somewhat. Been some time since I felt 'in my element'." Odin slowly walked around the cavern, looking about his surroundings, getting a feel for the area he found himself in.

"I am fine. And you, Jess?"

The sounds of the trickling river and the winter blue breeze where all that cascaded through the cavern. It felt like nature down here. Raw and crystalline to it's core. Like the fossils that darted the cavern's walls, this place felt old. Left alone and apart from time. It was the perfect place for adventure too. For down here you could always feel the Force, flowing through you.

"Busy. Hehe." Jessica giggled. "But? Since you're here now. I suppose I can put away the tools and switch gears a bit."

She moved over to her pile of clutter and put down her hat.

"Do you spar much with the sword, Odin?"

She browsed a few objects in the pile.

"No. ...Or, well." She turned and smiled, "I could say, not as much as I probably should."

Jess now held out two training sabers in her hand. Typical training gear really. Standard silver hilts which produced a weightless white magnetic beam. They didn't cut anything either. Just a good hard zap on contact. Perfect for simulating lightsaber combat without all the fuse of carving your partner in two.

"So, care to help a poor girl get a little better?"

She winked and tossed one of the hilts towards him.
