APPEARANCE:
Sehvis is rather tall, and lithe in physique. A gymnast kind of body. Her features are softer than what is typicaly seen of the Vong due to Dathomirian lineage. Her hair is black, and kept tied back with the back of her head not having much hair at all. The hairline is akin to a widow's peak but with smaller ones near the corners of the forehead. Her face alone is covered with customary tattoo-like markings of her clan and village. She also has many piercings. Most are on her ears, though she has a few on her eyebrows, a set of four on the bridge of her nose, one at the center of her lower lip, and one at her stomach. She typically wears robes from when her community was on Dathomir (now on Ruusan), though does not mind the typical garb of the Jedi or other robes from outsiders.
BIOGRAPHY:
Sehvis comes from a small community that was once on Dathomir. The community started after the Yuuzhon Vong invasion was being turned back. A small sect of warriors hid on Dathomir and thought that not having the force was to blame for their species' failure. They also thought that relentless war was also a key part of that failure. As a result, they found witch clans and bred with them. Eventually force sensitivity came to the hybrid descendants after generations. Now centuries later, war has almost come to Dathomir. With the threat of outsiders coming to wipe them from existence, the people of this community fled to other regions within Sith Space. However, Sehvis' family vacated to Jedi space.
Her childhood on Dathomir was what one would expect from a small village in the middle of nowhere on a dangerous planet. However, as she got a bit older, the elders of the community began teacher her the ways of the force customary for that age. With the ancestry of Yuuzhan Vong, the villagers were still not incredibly strong with the force, but strong enough that training was needed. Sehvis was no exception to that. They found her abilities to have great potential though. For the entire time before the exodus from Dathomir, she was being taught by the elders to grow her gift. Sehvis then became the strongest in the force out of her whole village. Even rivaling the elders. It was a good sign that the path of repentance their ancestors that settled there long ago founded was working. However, war threatened the safety of that community, which forced the villagers to leave Dathomir for safer regions within the Sith Empire or beyond. Most found refuge on neutral worlds just outside of Sith Space, but a few (including Sehvis' family) migrated to the space of the Silver Jedi Concord.
For the next five years, Sehvis and her family lived on Ruusan with a couple other migrants from their village. They did not assimilate well with the locals, but found refuge in the forests of that world. It was very different than the marshes they once called home, but the planet was certainly hospitable. However, this new wave of immigrants caught the attention of the the Silver Jedi Concord after a year. Jedi representative found the community, and the force sensitive inhabitants. The children were among the strongest, with Sehvis' abilities being put on display for her generations strongest in the force. The community was then allowed to do whatever it pleased in these woods to survive as its own as long as the Jedi were able to pick some of the strongest in the force to train as Jedi. The new elders, Sehvis' father being one of them, accepted seeing the Jedi embracing their youth as a tremendous honor. Sehvis and a few others her age were taken to Kashyyyk to be trained as Jedi. Too old to be a youngling, Sehvis now is a Padawan awaiting a master.
However, now seeing others from the galaxy, there has been a new interest of Sehvis. One she has now seen as a means of compensating for her being pretty weak in the force compared to other padawans. She read the texts of her people training in the force. The spiritual credos and all that. However, there were the histories of part of her ancestry that intrigued her most. The ancient Yuuzhan Vong were able to make living space ships, and weapons and armor. This impressed her from a young age. She now realized that the study of biology was then a good field for her to enter. The resources she may have in the future to study life forms of all kinds, and maybe learn the secrets of the ancestors' engineering could create some incredible opportunities for the Jedi to keep peace that they now teach her of. Science and other scholarly pursuits now peak her interest far more than other fields of Jedi tradition. However, learning combat at this point in her life would be good too considering it would be another thing she could pay some homage to her ancestors with learning it, yet also the current state of the galaxy at this point in her life makes learning combat a preferable thing too.
