SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Specially-made fabric is impregnated with a reversible adhesive elastomer, allowing the user to cling to surfaces in the same manner as the microscopic setae and spatulae found on lizard’s feet, enabling them to climb sheer vertical surfaces with ease, even to cling inverted to ceilings and other surfaces.
  • Pressure-activated, it requires no outside power sources, and cloth is resistant to extreme temperatures (-40 to 110 standard degrees), moisture, etc. which allows it to be used to climb ice, wet surfaces, even over mud and rock as well as glass and metal.
STRENGTH:
  • Enables users to climb a variety of surfaces, even to hang inverted from ceilings and similar surfaces, while wearing most types of armor.
  • Resilient against the elements.
  • When used in hands and palms, it acts like an enhanced friction grip to hold on to weapons, tools, etc.
  • When used in footwear, it allows for excellent traction while running, walking, fighting, etc. and makes it difficult for the user to be knocked off their feet even by concussive force.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Provides very little defensive qualities overall
  • Material can hold up to a maximum of 1.18kg per 1 mm of contact area applied, meaning a person in armor using all 20 digits (estimated 254mm of contact area) could hold up to 300kg even while inverted, but anything more would cause the gripping effect to fail.
  • Must maintain pressure to continue to activate gripping effect.
  • Doesn’t affect climbing speed, which is left to the athleticism of the user.
DESCRIPTION

This textile can be layered into gloves, boots, and other items of clothing to enable the user to climb over difficult terrain, even scaling sheer vertical walls or crawling inverted across ceilings or similar surfaces. Activated by pressure, the material mimics the natural climbing abilities of many species of small lizards to enable nimble and silent climbing capabilities. It offers little to no protection as a defensive material, and its climbing ability is limited by weight and the size of the contact point(s).
