[SIZE=14.6667px]Unable to see or hear events surrounding physical self. This is so complete that when utilizing the “Throne” someone could walk up to the user and slit their throat, and the user would not notice until their heart stopped.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Prolonged or repetitive usage can cause auditory and visual hallucinations. The more frequent or longer the usage of the “Throne” the more powerful and realistic the hallucinations become and the longer they last, with psychosis and dementia possible long term side-effects.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.6667px]This “throne” if you will is a very crude, and quite uncomfortable, but it was not designed with such ideas in mind. This was designed as a 'proof of concept' and an experiment during the Tournament of Inventors. The materials selected to be given to each inventor were sporadic, scattered, and disparate, but that was half the point of the challenge if one were honest. To give the brightest minds a singular, identical set of components and see what they could come up with given their varied bakcgrounds.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Ostanes is first and foremost, NOT a Seer or such, and so this Throne was designed for someone else, though who remains a mystery. Though his gifts at Farsight and Psychometry are limited, academically he is well versed in their usage. And, as a matter of course, he is extremely well read in Force artifacts of almost any type, particularly those that enhance or grant powers.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Having spent extensive time as an Acolyte of the One Sith, and then on his own, exploring tombs and crypts of Ancient Sith Lords, Ostanes had seen several devices that through Sith Magic were able to record and replay visions and events around the original Sorcerer, and has begun study of several unique and rare Holocrons, both how to use them and create his own, and so has moderate theoretical knowledge on vision recording, farsight, battle meditation, and the like. Though his talents do not lead in that direction, it gave him the academic grounding to theorize this.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The seat itself uses the rough frame and mounting of the TIE ejector seat, but is a hammock/cradle of woven shell-spider silk in a vain attempt to promote comfort. Components of the stasis booth were cannibalized to set up vital statistics monitors, and using some systems from the droid parts included to the challenge to not quite put the body in stasis, but isolate the body from the outside world so as to not distract the mind and prematurely interrupt the vision before the user would wish, which could result in total memory loss.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The alchemical power was derived from no small amount of Ostanes' blood, and the blood of the niko... Using the greater parts of the stasis field machine, Ostanes' combined alchemical arts and hard science to sustain and preserve the heart of the niko, and tubing and the like to create a 'circulatory' system that pumps the blood around the hammock/Throne. The blood was enchanted with Sith Magic, and the flow of it around the user helps to carry the enchantments of the rune-scriven spells carved all throughout the Thrones makeup. This does also mean that this particular throne can only be used a limited number of times, in limited amounts of time, before the whole thing would need to be overhauled and likely a completely new device be made due to the blood evaporating or general attrition losses.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]When sitting upon the Throne, one is able to bend their will to see remote places far away... With a strong enough Seer or Force User, one could see other planets, other systems.. The further away, the more taxing and difficult this form of remote viewing will be to the user, and the less clear and concise the viewing will become.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The primary use this is intended to be utilized for is that of an aid for Seers. One blessed, or curse, with the ability of Farsight, is able to experience much more vivid, clear, and concise visions sitting upon this Throne, and remember them longer after emerging from the Thrones trance. In addition, as an unexpected and unknown (to him) side effect, this Throne possesses the ability to greatly enhance pyschometric and Postcognitive abilities the same as Precognitive, but using it for such when it was not entirely meant for it will greatly strain the enchantments, and likely deplete whatever power the Throne has left in one go at the time of use.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]As with any invention, and especially with any cobbled together one, this Throne has a sharp set of drawbacks. It will greatly impact the sight, hearing, and tactile sense of the user when disconnected (proportionate to time spent connected) due to the sensory-deprivation like systems hard-wired in it to aid in concentration. It also has the effects of creating hibernation sickness like symptoms, extreme nausea and vomitting, and other such physical side effects, which can worsen or become permanent the more the Throne is utilized.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]It should be noted, this was created without the usual hoarde of staff alchemist and resources, as part of stubborn pride on Ostanes' involvement. As such, it is entirely and utterly steeped in the Dark Side, and gives off a palapable, gut churning aura of unease and nausea. The more Light-sided a person approaching it is, the greater the effect this is experienced.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]It also lacks a 'buffer' as many of AEI's products do, and usage opens oneself up entirely to the Dark Side of the Force. While nothing you see will be a lie, the Dark Side will try to covertly sway and twist what the Throne shows its' user, in an attempt to convert the user to the Dark Side, or further their fall along this path. An Acolyte using this would almost certainly be turned, though an experienced Master of the Force, particularly one gifted in mental abilities or Farsight, may be able to resist such temptations.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Overall, this is a dangerous creation, with many flaws and gaps in its' construction and workings. When viewed as a whole, one thinks perhaps it should not have been made at all, with the risk it poses to those who would use it. But, true to the perhaps deepest desire of Ostanes' heart lies the counter to that cautionary thought: In the pursuit of knowledge, there is no cost too high.[/SIZE]
