Countess Riyaré sat in the estate, one of her families numerous holdings on Naboo but one that was less publicly associated with the family, it was better that way, just in case something went awry. She was waiting for a guest to arrive. She had out out a wanted add for a witch, one who knew the importance of discretion. Of course if they didn't know how important secrets were then they were not a really witch, so there was that.

In the next room was a grimoire, she could read the text on the front but could not work out how to open it to unlock the secrets contained within. But first she needed to meet her guest. They would be met by one of her staff in the nearest village where they would be vetted and sign a non-disclosure agreement. Provided they accepted they would be driven out to the estate where they would be introduced to the Countess where she sat with two glasses and an exquisite bottle of red wine as a welcome if they should want it.

Annis was quite practiced in certain aspects of force sorcery but was not a proper witch, so she was fidgeting with excitement to meet her honoured guest and would treat them with dignity and respect from the moment they arrived.

Without her bracelet she could feel the force and felt the arrival of her guest. She stood as the door was about to be opened to greet them warmly. This would be the first time they knew who the client was. "Welcome to Lopenthé." she said with her beautiful smile.

Magdalena had been on Naboo purifying an ancient grove with the Light Side when one of her acolytes had come to her with the news someone was seeking a witch.

Ordinarily, The Sorceress of Ossus might not have paid attention, but as the Force nagged at her, she began to rapidly re-evaluate the situation.

Anonymous requests and magic rarely mix in a way that ends pleasantly. There are far too many horror stories of a random civilians getting their hands on some ancient trinket, or using a spell from a tome they were completely ignorant of, for it to be a good thing that they sought such knowledge.

But with such a call being sent out, this could be doubly dangerous. Someone with reach was in a genuine position to feth things and people up with the wrong knowledge at the wrong time.

Magdalena, light sided religious leader of House Bloodscrawl, had finally resolved to answer the call, lest whoever sent it come across a witch who might not have others safety in mind.

And also, because House Bloodscrawl might want to be friends with whoever had.

She had made the journey, stunning the servants with her elegant look, signed the non disclosure, and soon arrived in her shimmering blue gown with exposed left arm and shoulder to the presence of, to her own surprise, The Senator of Naboo.

Magdalena returned the warm smile with one of her own, giving a slight bow.

"It is an honor to be here, Senator. Magdalena Vittoria Britannia Bloodscrawl, at your service..." Magdalena answered, stepping into the elegant chambers, the very picture of poise and refinement herself.

"You seek knowledge many politicians often shy away from. How may I be of assistance to you?" Magdalena asked, trying to assess the danger and volatility of the situation in the back of her head.

Random people and magic don't often mix. Less so when the random person is a politician...

Zori Galea stepped through the ornate threshold with the grace of a queen and the caution of a predator. Clad in flowing, dark robes embroidered with crimson runes, her presence was magnetic and undeniably unsettling. Her burning orange-red eyes—lit from within by the corruption of the Dark Side—scanned the chamber with calculated interest, lingering for a moment on Countess Riyaré, then on the wine, then back to the Countess.

She offered a smile—elegant, sharp, and deliberate.

"Ah," Zori said, her voice like silk wrapped around iron, "so this is the elusive Lopenthé. And you must be Countess Riyaré—the one with the impeccable handwriting and a taste for discretion… a rare combination in this age of self-importance and noise."

She stepped fully into the room, her boots silent against the marble floor, and inclined her head with a subtle nod that spoke of old aristocracy and darker rites.

"I am Zori Galea," she said smoothly, her tone layered with gravity. "Rising Queen of Korriban. Keeper of the Shard of Nyssa. Consort of Shadows. Some call me Sorceress, others Heretic, and still others simply whisper my name with fear and wonder in equal measure." Her eyes glimmered as if enjoying the effect her words had.

"I received your summons with interest. It's not every day that someone calls for a witch and understands the value of secrets rather than spectacle. That alone was... compelling." She approached the Countess, pausing just within arm's reach, one brow arching as she surveyed the wine. "A noble vintage. Either you're confident in your hospitality, or you hope to soften the edges of whatever you're about to ask me to unravel."

Zori's fingers hovered above the rim of the untouched second glass but did not yet take it.

"I presume we are here for more than just pleasantries."

Rarely, less there was something of interest to the undead Nightsister, did Odessa leave the confines and comforts of Dathomir; but through whispers, whimpers, and aching rumors came from those brave souls venturing to the nightmarish planet that someone was actually looking for a witch. Not just any witch, so the words sung from mouths to ears, but one familiar with Dathomirian grimoires. At first, Odessa wasn't actually interested, but after pouring thoughts into it, she felt the need that an investigation was warranted.

Regardless of what clan or coven a Nightsister belonged, anything associated with Dathomir was cause for concern when the hands of outsiders clung their greedy paws into things they did not fully understand; or deserve to be touching. From deep within the bogs of Dathomir, Odessa representing
The Nardithi Nightsister Coven launched herself into the fray, visiting the planet of Naboo.

The visuals of Naboo was the complete opposite of Dathomir, where her planet represented gloom and death; Naboo represented hope and security. She hated Naboo. However, her disdain for this planet didn't keep her from seeking out this individual asking for trouble. Odessa stood at the estate, her green eyes that held dancing green-like mists inside them transfixed on the structure. She hated the building. What an eye sore, she thought to herself as she walked up to the entrance; her staff leading her steps.

"How disheartening," Odessa said entering the room, her eyes looking at the trio as she passed by them all, staring out the multi-colored window, her back to them. "You call for a witch and from the words spilling all across the galaxy you have something or making inquiries about something we Dathomirian witches do not appreciate. It is not wise to steal from us. Equally insane if it's something that belongs to my Coven."

Odessa spun on her heels, grinning as she did. "You can't have something from my Coven. Cause unfortunately, you're still breathing." The Nardithi Coven was the most hated on Dathomir by the other Nightsister sects, and with just cause. "So, indulge me. What are you getting your hands dirty for?"

Annis looked at Magdalena Bloodscrawl Magdalena Bloodscrawl as she walked in, tall and poised like a proper lady. "Please, take a seat." she gestured to the other woman to sit down and held out the bottle of wine, pouring it into the empty glass if Magdalena gave the indication that she wished a drink.

She stepped away and sat down opposite, crossing her legs. She had heard the name Bloodscrawl around somewhere before but it did not appear on the nabooian social radar so she was curious to find out more where she had heard the name, but there was time for that later. She cocked her head slightly taking a moment to enjoy the woman wondering why the senator had invited her here.

"Thank you for coming. Let me first reassure you, nothing you today is illegal or immoral. I like to keep my professional life and my private interests safely separate. The document was more for my privacy than anything sinister." she grinned and took a drink. There were members of political and social circles that might question her fascination with the occult and it would only slow her life down being forced to justify it at every turn.

"I have come into my possession and book, a grimoire of sorts. I would like to read it. I have tried opening it but I feel like I am missing something." she hadnt brought the book out yet because she wanted a few minutes to assess her guest personally before she let them in, it would be a tragedy if in spite of her carefully planning, the wrong person showed up and was hostile about the whole situation.

"I assume that in answering my request, you are familiar with the dathomiri traditions?" she asked, teasing with the truth to see how Magdalena reacted.

Magdalena was busily observing Annis Riyaré Annis Riyaré in silence as she poured wine, her demeanor when speaking. She sensed no deception...

"I would not have come had I sensed anything nefarious intent in the missive you sent out.

...but perhaps...a little naivete.

"I am of course, familiar with Dathomiri Traditions..." Magdalena added politely. "And I am more than able to get past it's magical security. But I must stress this...any Dathomir Grimoire can be extremely dangerous." Magdalena emphasized to the Senator. "Sorcery is not a thing to practice casually. May I ask what you are personally hoping to gain from the book? Is this simple academic curiosity or are you hoping to gain something specific?" She asked.

"I'm willing to help you of course. But in doing so, I become responsible for your safety. It's my responsibility to ensure the book will not hurt you, and that you will not hurt yourself by accident. The slightest misstep in performing spells or Force Rituals can have deadly consequences to the practitioner."

Magdalena took no wine due to her religious beliefs in the Light Side. And also because her particular metabolism wouldn't let her get drunk. The toxins would be processed as fast as they entered her bloodstream.

"Also, may I ask how you acquired the book? Has magic always interested you?"
