Mr President
Securing the frontier
Location: Fel Territory, Near Osseriton
A large blast echoed, followed by a massive explosion. The hull of a frigate was ripped to shreds. In the halls of the ship, Fel officers in their Independence blue Imperial uniforms scuttled, their troops running to their battle stations. The ship creaked and shook. They were under attack.
A lone captain sat in the bridge of the Imperial Star-Galleon FES Outreach. The ship rocked and shuttered as he frantically shouted into the radio, his repeating S.O.S. to the stars. It was useless, he had three option, he could flee and hope they wouldn't catch up, but the captain knew that they would soon be out of fuel and that they wouldn't make it. Option two was to turn and fight, but the weapons of these ships were like nothing he had ever seen before. His last option, the worst of which, was to try and sprint home. He was just outside the capital system, and if managed to make it through the asteroid belt in one piece, he could get a clear signal and get backup, but the problem with that was the fact that if others came, and he knew they would, These strange foes would destroy them all. The captain through down the radio, and stood, he made up his mind. The captain approached walked past the the unseen until now pilot of the ship and saluted before stopping at the blast doors and opening them. He stepped in and past a few scrambling officer who halted and saluted.
"At ease."
The men relaxed and began perusing the captain.
"Sir, we have done our scans on the damaged parts of the hull. These weapon traces match only one known source in all the galaxy."
"And what would that be Petty officer?"
"The deep ones."
The captain halted at once, he stopped and turned to face the Petty officer, and mouthed back the words to him. He then found his voice once more, clearing his throat, he started.
"Loop the SOS, get every available man a gun. We cannot let these animals know of our Home wor-"
The ship shook and creaked, the lights dimmed and flickered before going out at last. Several air valves busted, releasing a thick haze that was illuminating by the emergency lights beginning to flash red. An alarm sounded around the ship. The captain turned and ran for the bridge followed by the two officers. As he entered the bridge, he seen a large organic tentacle reach across the glass of the bridge before wrapping completely around the ship.
"Captain!"
The captain turned and watched as a squid-like cephalopod dived through the door, tackling and then cutting open the officer with an ancient blade, just like Regent Harris'. The creature slowly stood from its new kill and turned towards the captain.
"FU-SO-KLIC KLIK!."
The alien shouted before lunging and impaling the captain, leaving one of it's troopers to kill the other officer. The alien turned through the door and walked off the bridge and down the hall. As the Alien exited the ship through the hole it crawled in from, it shouted one last order. A ray of light surged from the biggest of the organic ships, followed by a green beam stretching out and evaporating the ship.
Objective: Investigate the SOS call, and annihilate the hostile threat, but be careful not to be destroyed yourself. Lastly, Attempt to capture one of the ships.
