They lost one, Casana off, mumbling about classes. Soph could understand. She, too, was behind in her studies. So, she was left with the supposedly not homeless man. They descended a set of winding metal stairs within the Sanctuary’s library and followed the narrow aisle toward the far wall of the archives, where the lighting grew dimmer and the shelves gave way to older storage units. At the very back, half-hidden behind a stack of neglected data crates, stood a section of shelving that looked almost identical to the rest.
Soph peered down at the map, holding it up to Roman. Then pointed at the shelf. "That's where it says the door is. Do you see anything out of place? Maybe a lever or something else?"
Soph stepped forward and examined one of the stacked dataholos. The light flickering along the walls. A layer of dust existed across the stacks. It was clear not many came down to this level anymore.
