  • Participants: Defenders consisted of the The Geonosian Hive Army. The invading force was The Galactic Empire
  • Results: The main achievement of the conflict was the endangerment of the Geonosian species. Although the conflict started over the empire trying to gather slaves for the second Death Star, the idea was later scrapped in favor of droids.

CHRONICLE INFORMATION
After the first subjugation of Geonosis the Galactic Empire had the slaves needed to complete the construction of the first Death Star. After its completion the planet was meant to be left alone, since the conflict led Geonosis and her people to become far more isolationist. However, foreseeing a rocky future ahead of them the planetary leaders took to reopening their old droid factories to prepare themselves for future conflict from the Galactic Empire.

Instead of using the dated hardware and designs of the clones wars the Geonosians had started the construction of many new and deadly droids that wouldn't last. Forging an innumerable amount of droids for the sake of the off chance their planet would see conflict either by the Galactic Empire or other foreign government. This secret droid army was to spring to action under such circumstances.

As the Galactic Civil War raged on, the First Death Star was destroyed, and nearly right after a second one began construction. Once again the Galactic Empire sought more worker to see its completion in a timely manner, with Geonosians being a prime option much like last time. Thus The Second Subjugation of Geonosis was underway. However, the Galactic Empire and its forces were unprepared for the conflict to come. Unfortunately for the Geonosians they did not have the aid of the Rebel Alliance like they did during the previous conflict. Since this was a more unprovoked invasion against an isolationist people.

As the Galactic Empire came to the planet, the asteroid field that covered the planet was set ablaze with fighting as many tens of thousands of Nantex-Class Territorial Defense Starfighters sprung form their ambush positions among the asteroids. However, the lack of Geonosian capital ships proved to be detrimental in the swift space battle above. But the skilled Geonosian Pilots were able to filter out a great deal of imperial air support as to keep them from making it to the surface.

As Imperial ground troops made land fall they were welcomed with not only swarms of Geonosian Warriors coming from their hives, but were accompanies to an army of never before seen droids ranging from all shapes and sizes. The two sides clashed, and the Geonosians had no plans on being the defenders, employing a strategy of near constant counter attacks. The thousands of new prototype droid models proving their worth on the battlefield. Towering machines resembling instectoids ravaged imperial troops and in return the Empires star destroyers put up seemingly endless barrage behind enemy lines. Yet it seemed, at least at first, that this new droids army was endless in numbers. It was said that during the battle the Geonosian droid factories were still active, where droids would literally come off the production line and into battle. Although this was never confirmed.

The ensuing battle lasted week, with no rest for the imperial forces as their battlefield encampments were under a assault against the tireless droids. With the Geonosisans being able rest themselves as their mechanical army fought for them, only to return as soon as they could to the front lines. Eventually the exhausted imperial troops seemed like they were beat against the unending swarms and Geonosian Warriors and droids. But this wasn't the case, as reinforcements had arrived both to save the troops already there and to finish what they had started. With this the defending army began to thin. Where before the Imperial Stormtroopers were the ones being hunted down off the surface of the Geonosian home world, the tides had changed.

After the battle the Galactic Empire had won a costly victory, as the land of Geonosis was littered with the bodies of individuals from both sides. The Imperial Forces acted to demolish all the prototype war machines forged by the Geonosians. Ripping apart their droid factories as to ensure their discontinuation with it being a post-clone wars era the clone wars. In the end the battle could been seen as one fought in vain for the Emprie, as with construction of the Second Death Star continued, droids were employed to see out its completion. But the opportunistic Empire easily used the conflict as just another example of what was to happen to planets that step out of line.
