Exiled Count of House Teraan (Alderaan)
024-Ralph-McQuarrie-Alderaan.jpg

And so it was after a seem having return back from a short time off take care of some his family personal affairs. That Andulf on his way back to his duties had no sooner been called upon to head off towards one of Aldera Royal hangars. Whereas best he could tell from the official Royal communication he received. He was to meet up and conduct a meeting with one the new head of her highness Explorer Corp. See if anything else what her current plans were in regards to missions or supplies needed for any current or future mission she was engaged in. After which he was to free to either extend to her a guided tour of Alder or help extend any assistance in her settling in at her post.

Which on all account was not something he really keens on doing personally. That is until he reads further down and a name catches his attention. That of which peek his interest for in the past he did personally know of an acquaintance or friend with the same last name from his academy days. To which curiosity got the best of him when upon reading down the dossier attached regarding the person he was to meet. That he just happen upon his name and mention of the House DeVoe. At which time once his ship landed in Andera he then departs to then head off to the adjoining hangar where he was to meet with the new head of her highness Explorer Corp.... "Jerrid, come on....stop kidding around. I need more on your classmate than the file I was forwarded by the queen." Marina was trying to coax her brother into breaking the so called man code and give her pertinent info on the type of guy this young Count was.
But her brother Jerrid wasn't biting and assured her that she should feel him out herself.

"What kind of talk is that?...I'm asking you-....no, I'm ordering you! Now give it up!" Nope, her ploy had no merit.

"Well..yea, I can... I...I'm the queen's intern and I demand you tell me." Silence followed. "...uhm...Jerrid?
Hello, Jerrid?....OH come on!" She shouted in the comm, before looking at it to see if they were still connected." Nope, no dial tone.
"Gasp....I can't believe he cut me off!..." The dead comm gave her the answer.

"Grrrr... so help me, I'll ice pack his bed!..." She spoke under her breath, as attempted to call him again.
But as she re-opened the channel, her eyes spotted a figure that had the tell tale sign of it being the figure of the young Count. Marina had a very good memory when it served her and the striking image of the Count she had received via hologram, certainly did the real real man approaching justice. "Shoot..." She closed her comm and waited till he approached closer. A smile welcomed the man.

"Hello....Count [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] ?...." Marina extended out her hand." ...Marina DeVoe." Her hand slipped easily into his.

It was then that after a bit of a seem lengthy talk with his current head of security for this trip. About discrepancies between his official agenda and what he found in one his personal ship's log. That he sort couldn't help but shrug him off and ops not to discuss any this further at this point in time. Before walk off to the next hangar where thought from afar he spotted what he'd assume be her. The one he was about meet judging from what he could make out and came take note of as he came closer. While in the back his head memories of his old friend who's name sort just now got to remember been Jerrid. Seem sounded so awfully close to the name his current House Guard Captain....at which time he couldn't help but smirk a bit as he came closer.Note how she seems to be somewhat distracted by her holo call and under his breath hoping it was not his brother that she was speaking to. As a memory of old came mind ....memories of when he and Jerrid first met during his early years in the academy.Where in as freshmen they were both assign to mostly the same classes and how soon enought the two them sort hit it off and became friends. Hang out and at times doing what most would see as a typical teen stuff. Going to a party and woo a couple or so female classmates on campus and at times getting into some bit of trouble along the way. Most of which due to his status and his connection they were able to dodge the bullet so to speak. Entering into a sort bro agreement not talk about it...which seem had somehow withstood the test of time for now.At which time once he was close enought that he noted her turn to clamp down on her commlink and under her breath seem to have utter something before flashing a smile at him then spoke.

"Hello...Count Andulf Nicholas Teraan ?...."

He hears her say just as his security detail arrived and note how she'd soon extended out her hand.

" ...Marina DeVoe."

At which time he then extended and take her hand slipped easily into his before give a gentle yet firm shake.

"Indeed I am and have say am glad meet your acquaintance.....Ms.Marina DeVoe is it? And do hope your trip here was if anything uneventful? Also that if you would allow me to invite you to say....."

He then leans over a bit and extends to offer his arm lead her away.

".... dine with me or simply go somewhere private where we can maybe talk?"

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
"Yes, a sit down would be a good idea and give us leisure time to talk... and get some tea, if you don't mind" She replied, not expecting him to offer his arm in escort.
Not that it surprised her, as it were customary for noblemen to do so, just that she had not expected it, as she had been away from home and in the wild o to speak. One gets used to not being treated like a lady of the court off world. So it were welcomed him taking the lead.

"The pilot lounge has a good view of the city-scape, besides the fact that it has had a good rating on their cuisine." Marina suggested.

besides, it were part of the main port and there was plenty of room in there to have a sort of private chat. Not that they would be discussing pertinent security as it related to the FWC or their court. But as far as discussing ideas and how they could expand the Explorer group without involving a military aspect, there was no harm in an open discussion about it in a public place. After all, the Explorer group's founder, Queen Organa had intended it to be a forward emissary exploration team. It would be the first face a new discovered system would see representing the FWC.

It took no time at all to reach the double glass doors of the pilot lounge..a very modern all glass wall vista view lounge and eatery that overlooked most of the city from the space port hanger side. It also had a clear view of the water..the canal and a good portion of the countryside.

"Hmm...food sure is inviting." Marina said as the doors to the lounge opened and the aroma of the place stirred her appetite.

"Yes, a sit down would be a good idea and give us leisure time to talk... and get some tea, if you don't mind."

To which came her response as she then soon for a moment appeared not have expected the gesture he'd extended to her. Which by all accounts was not something he was really put into practice much before his return. But then again in some little way deep inside as much he sorts easily deny nor agree. Part him sort missed this part of his life...as it in a way reminded him of sort happier days. And of a life he had for a moment seem forgotten living the way he had during his time away. Out on his own....far from home... At which time reeling his thought back to the present rather than the past he smiles and spoke.

"Indeed, that would be a good idea and a just same good place start things off and you need not worry I don't mind. Tea is just fine....though have admit am not too familiar with the establishment here. As it been quite a while since i've been here ."

It was then soon after hand in hand the two then began to proceed that she then came reply back.

"The pilot lounge has a good view of the city-scape, besides the fact that it has had a good rating on their cuisine."

To which with a nod he then seems come to agree though on the sideline as the two moved off the guarded hangar. With his personal guard escort seem to try hard catch up. And from the sideline one or two being that was there could help seem to glance their way as they seem somewhat perplex at the same time curious. As although they might somewhat recognize them...it may have seemed somewhat out the place for them see not in the usual formal wear but it appears to be normal clothing. Which is sort suited Andulf fine as of the twins he was not much in particular care for or into all the pomp or pageantry of things as much his sister was. And soon after just as the two them enter the establishment that the surge of faint wind that hit brought with them the enticing aroma of the meals being offered there.

"Hmm...food sure is inviting."

That he turns towards her replied.

"Indeed and now let see...."

He then notes the Maître D' approach and greets them.

"Good afternoon Monsieur and Mademoiselle so good for you join us today. Table for two for today?"

To which he nods and seem on cue the guy leads them towards a nice quaint table to one side which had a spectacular view of the outside as well as some privacy away from the rest of the crowd. After which with her in tow they then head off take their seat and handed their menu for the day. That once they were left briefly that he turns towards her and notion to the men assigned as his security detail. To take their seat or stand their ground to their side that he spoke.

"So out of curiosity how is your dear brother....hopefully he'd not been getting into too many adventures since we've parted after the academy?"

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
"Oh dear me, no. No, he's been following my father's footsteps....you know, male heir to the House.
Though he not as carefree as one he was. Duties, you see..." Her eyes looked over the Count, seeing that he too were enveloped in duties these days.
But it were so with male heirs to the Great Houses. They all answered the call of family duty. Some sooner than others, but in the end, they all took their place as Head of House.

Marina had been aware of the entourage of the Count's personal security personnel keeping a good distance like a shadow. She didn't mind as she had herself grown up with same. But the only thing was that these days, they were no under the gun so to speak and Alderaan was to say the least one of the few systems where one could call a peaceful world.

"If you allow us a few minutes to order, green tea for now, please..." She replied a moment to the woman who came over to their table.
The woman, nodded, taking also the Count's request and left them a moment. She were to return, after giving them some time to talk and maybe decide on what they would order.

Marina knew the Count had been away for quite some time. But she didn't know as to why, as she were not privi of that. well, as of this day, she had never really thought or dwelled on it. perhaps one day the Count may tell her of his off-world adventures. For now, he were the heir and head of Household of House Teraan. And her majesty had suggested marina and the Count meet to see if there could be some mutual interest in the Explorer Corps, as the Count did have resources that could indeed help the Explorer Corps expand. Right now, it were just Marina and her ship the mariner IV and two other volunteers..a jedi and an officer from the FWC.

She smiled as the woman left and let a moment pass before...
"I'm sure Jerrid is going to ask me the same thing concerning your person, Count Teraan."

Intuition told her that it would be best if they could dispense with all the formalities and get to talking without all the dance steps of etiquette.
"Say, if you don't mind, can we dispense with the formalities? This Count this, Duke that...lady so on... You can call me Marina, and maybe I can just call you Andi or Nick...maybe?" She beamed a most friendly smile.

It would be easier to dispense with titles, she figured. And naturally, take their conversations outside of the formalities of the court. There were things to discuss and going about it in a diplomatic way between two Houses under the same Royal house would be too time consuming. She were certain the Count didn't waste more time than he had too.

"Oh dear me, no. No, he's been following my father's footsteps....you know, the male heir to the House.Though he not as carefree as he once was. Duties, you see..."

He then noted her say which sort made him faintly chuckle as he came reply with a faint smirk on his face.

"Well, that good to hear and believe me I know. It's just seems been so long since we've got in contact given all that happens on Alderaan so far. Thought I guess as the saying goes are true....as carefree daredevil we once were one has to grow up someday."

At which time as the two conversed that he couldn't help note her glace over to him as did he to her. Note how in the back his mind he couldn't help be reminded of his story of her or what he assumed she was back then.

"I'm sure Jerrid is going to ask me the same thing concerning your person, Count Teraan."

That he could help but try to hide the faint chuckle as one particular memory of a story he said cross his mind. But then again the faint glance to the side and briefly catch sight of one his security detail slightly brought him back to reality. Which as much it was the norm for one of royalty or nobility to have it no less still reminded him of the harsh reality. One which few knew all too well about the reasons behind it all.

"If you allow us a few minutes to order, green tea for now, please..."

At which time she spoke first and he turns replied soon the waitress turn to him.

"...just Karlini tea for me as well for now."

At which time as soon the waitress left that she perhaps herself intrigued by him as not really knowing what Jerrid if anything she was told of him. Other than what perhaps was written on his official dossier which she could have gotten or provided as it was if anything part of the public document. That she then seem then turn him ask.

"Say, if you don't mind, can we dispense with the formalities? This Count this, Duke that...lady so on... You can call me Marina, and maybe I can just call you Andi or Nick...maybe?"

To which the waitress return and place their beverages between them took a moment before leaving to give them more time.

"Well, frankly I can't help agree with you on that...Marina as was never one for a title or all this formality. Unless it was really needed or were in the presence of the royals. And yes you can just call me Andi or Nick....seeing same thing your brother Jerrid called me too."

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
This was certainly quite satisfactory and easier to discuss things without all the formalities, especially since her brother and the Count had been good classmates.
But now to choose...Andi or Nick. Marina thought about it a moment, as they were getting their tea served. It gave her a moment to decide on maybe addressing him as Nick first. It had more of a friendlier tone and was quite masculine in sound. Maybe she'll reserve calling the Count 'Andi' if they became better friends, like the Count was with her brother.

"Nick it is then.." She gave him an agreeable smile.
The server had left them with their tea for the moment, to give them more time to decide.

"Well, I guess you've become interested in some developments on Alderaan and it's standing with the FWC.
Simply put, I've only just recently took up some duties in the diplomatic arena. I'm serving an internship under her majesty, Queen Organa. So I'm just getting my feet wet, so to speak. This is pretty much all new to me also...putting us on somewhat of an even plane.
And coincidentally, at about the same time as I was indoctrinated to intern, Queen Organa launched the Explore Corps.
And here we are." She summed it up as simple as she could.

"So...shall we order first and perhaps see where we both somehow fit into this jigsaw puzzle?..hehe.." Marina could only make light of what both couldn't escape...their duties.

It then seemed after what seem him a moment of contemplation that Marina came forth with her reply.

"Nick it is then..."

To which elicited a slightly sheepish grin on his face as he then with slight nod replied.

"Very well then Nick it is then Marina....which I have to admit is something rather prefer as Andi. Well... isn't a name I haven't gone by since well feel like ages ago before I got sent off to the Academy. But just the same like I said never one for formalities in the same token nor am I one to dictate nor force things upon anyone including names which I know can be quite a mouthful. As your brother, Jerrid had no less made it apparent during our years at the academy...and now we're back I guess it's quite interesting how or were our path had led us."

His words cut short as old memories linger in his thought of their first meeting as well they're last. At which time with their drinks served and the waitress had taken her leave from them that he then took a sip off it. Before leaning back to rest comfortably upon his seat as he began to speak.

"At any rate, I guess now that we got that settled.... was wondering perhaps what you can tell me about yourself and of the Exploration Corp. As I have to admit other than a short briefing and quite a bit of field work since my return. I really have little or at best a basic understanding of what it is the Exploration Corp would have need of but I am interested to learn or hear from you what you have in mind. In terms of agenda and maybe get the chance get to know who it is that is leading the Corp. "

It was then that Marina spoke to seem to sum up a response to his question.

"Well, I guess you've become interested in some developments on Alderaan and it's standing with the FWC. Simply put, I've only just recently taken up some duties in the diplomatic arena.

And here we are."

It was at that time with a nod Andulf then spoke.

"Indeed here we are and guess your right we both seem on a somewhat even plane. As I too not too long ago since my return has taken up a more leadership role as head of our Noble House. Something I really didn't expect nor plan on doing this soon....but then again I guess things never go as one hope or plan them be as they say. But at any rate, it hadn't been that long after that I got the appointment myself from her royal highness princess Faith the ambassador post. Having to work mostly with one our more recent allies the Remnant. Quite an interesting post and seem not a dull moment thought it had been quite a learning curve at first....so...."

It was then that as the two spoke that he noted the waitress approach and he started picking up the menu laid not far from them as seems she to as well.

"So...shall we order first and perhaps see where we both somehow fit into this jigsaw puzzle?..hehe.."

And just as the waitress arrives that he replied.

"Indeed as it seems been a while since I had grabbed a bite to eat since and we could better continue our conversation....as you said to see where both of us somehow fit in all this?"

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
It came to be that both took to order and were continuing with their talk when the servers came with their platters.
Marina and the Count allowed them to serve them and took a moment to look over their food, giving them some time for the servers to leave.

"Well, as I said.... it is all new to me and I'm learning and advancing the Corps as I go. If there were prior guidelines to follow or review, I'm sure the Explorer Corps would be that much further along, Nick...hehe..." Marina gave a slight chuckle addressing the Count for the first time that way. It weren't a big deal, but it still was a bit off key and something to get used to.
Which by meal's end, Marina would certainly be quite comfortable in doing.

"Oh...before I get too lost in the Exploration group...did you know that Queen Organa has been assembling the Council again? There was kind of a debate on it awhile, pertaining whether it should just be comprised of Alderaani or any Great Houses that hold strong to Alderaani core values. I was wondering what your thoughts were on that."

It was then as the two conversed while their food was being served of which his was a good size cut of Nerf tenderloin. That he then sliced into it briefly on the side to judge its doneness was if nothing less up to par what he had in mind. Which it was as if nothing else old memories slightly play in his mind as it made him smirk a bit. That of a certain night out him and Jerrid had during one the break while in the Academy. At any rate, turn push those thoughts aside as he turns his attention back to her. Listening as he did to her words as they were being spoken while waiting for the waitress to make her leave.

"Well, as I said.... it is all new to me and I'm learning and advancing the Corps as I go. If there were prior guidelines to follow or review, I'm sure the Explorer Corps would be that much further along, Nick...hehe..."

In which he with a nod replied.

"Indeed, as believe me I understand seeing as seems one never really fully realize till one gets their boots on the ground so to speak as father used to tell us. That it's not quite all fun and easy to begin or start something Marina. Thought I guess will eventually learn as we get things going and I hopefully get on track catch up on things I missed while was away...Which seem to be quite a bit and catch up can be somewhat interesting at times. As my sister sort helps me out a bit catch up on current agenda on hand.Which do you by chance have anything add? As for last we spoke she told me of some new development about a council?"

Which she then seems to take the moment think came forth speak.

"Oh...before I get too lost in the Exploration group...did you know that Queen Organa has been assembling the Council again? There was kind of a debate on it awhile, pertaining whether it should just be comprised of Alderaan or any Great Houses that hold strong to Alderaani core values.I was wondering what your thoughts were on that."

Which he had taken a bite of the food replied soon after.

"Well, for me personally I think the Queen assembling a council together I agree on. As my hope is that it could help give an even voice for all, not just a chosen few. Much like in line with what I know and grow up to have knowledge as being part of the core Alderaanian values. Given the division that seems to now plague the universe as a whole and the threat from all side. May it be from within Alderaan itself and the surrounding remnants of planet or star systems, the Sith, Empire. I would think it would need the combined efforts of all get thru it thought with my absence for quite some time. I really don't have much if any full account or perspective of what Aldraaninan or Great House are left still to compromise such a council at this time. But that I hope would soon change once I get to get out there and see things for myself for me decide.

As the same token, what are your thought about it if I may ask as well Marina?"

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
"Personally I support the idea of bringing back the Council.
For starters, as you may have heard, my father Duke Kyle DeVoe had his inauguration as the first to enter council under her majesty. So I have to admit, I am biased toward the entire idea of Council, as I not only support our queen, but my father now as well." She was open and honest. There was no reason to scathe the fact that the Council had indeed come to be. Even if at this time there was only one member. But that were a beginning, as there would be more to join.

"I think it is with all our remaining Houses, that we support our Head of House in whatever direction they have taken. Traditionally, it has served all our Houses through history...both in the Dark times and good.
Lately, I believe we have been lacking good Council. I mean, it's not been assembled for generations and I believe this is long overdue." She continued speaking, playing a bit with her food.
Somehow she were more occupied and interested in discussing the Council matter, putting the Explorer Corps aside till later.

"Alderaan has always stood united and despite the conflicts of yesteryear with the sith occupation, many Houses fell under the reign and in defense of Alderaan. Our two Houses stood. My father's house under his father remained strong and did not fall because of the foresight of the Northern defenses.
The sith left a generation ago...and our two houses stood strong and have remained such.
Nick... Count Terran, would you consider joining the Council? Alderaan...our queen ...we all need another great House on the Council." And so she asked him.

Seemed Marina was more interested in the Count to be on the Council, than talking about the explorer Corps. But Marina figured, the position of Council at this time was more important a matter to discuss as it pertained their beloved world of Alderaan.

It was then that soon enough as she spoke her mind and he in turn silently listen intently. Take in and committing to memory what she said and filling it away for later contemplation. As he secretly tried to compile as much information as he could regarding Alderaan current situation as a whole for himself. In any case with much being said and explain to her that she then seems to turn back to him then came end things off by saying as well posing a question back at him in the process.

"Alderaan has always stood united and despite the conflicts of yesteryear with the sith occupation, many Houses fell under the reign and in defense of Alderaan. Our two Houses stood. My father's house under his father remained strong and did not fall because of the foresight of the Northern defenses.

The sith left a generation ago...and our two houses stood strong and have remained such.Nick... Count Terran, would you consider joining the Council? Alderaan...our queen ...we all need another great House on the Council."

To which time growing somewhat silent and seriously think over his answer before speaking them out as he had.

"That it has....stand strong and firmly united despite everything...all the hardship and struggle I, unfortunately, had not personally taken part of nor witness myself. And I have to admit had been a point of contention between me and my own father the late Count.

And if one few things I regret....not being here then but just the same I am now. So if Alderaan and our Queen have need of my service in this other than as Ambassador. I would not hesitate to say yes..."

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
"First, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father Count Terran, Nick. I was away off world and could not attend the funeral services." She said, reaching out, her hand resting a moment on his.

"Odd too, that I never got to know your sister, like you had with my brother.
Sigh...I guess that's what happens when you study off world. But at the time, Alderaan couldn't provide me with the versatility of off world universities. It has kind of been my family's tradition to not only send their male heirs off to schools to prepare them for their duties here, but also our daughters. " She gave him a smile, as it seemed they were both highly educated in the galaxy, and not home schooled like so many noble houses.
Studying abroad gave one the advantage of being prepared to take up the duties of their House..both as head of house and even as Ambassadors, like Nich was.
Of course, Marina was still interning under the Queen and wouldn't be a Consulate for quite some time. She too were eventually going to take up as Ambassador representing Alderaan and The Free World Coalition.
But for now, intern it was until the queen would assign her to an embassy. Right now Marina was heading one of the First Explorer Corps.

"But wow...that's fantastic, Nick. Ambassador, I mean.
I didn't know that." Marina beamed a smile.
She too was one day going to be at an embassy as Ambassador of Alderaan. Where?...she didn't know yet. But that would come and she was certain she would do her best.

"Which system are you representing Alderaan on?"

"First, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father Count Terran, Nick. I was away off-world and could not attend the funeral services."

It was then thought at first it felt so surreal at best kinda think of it now....having spoken of his father the way as he had with someone else. Other than those within his house inner circle. But just the same with a faint sigh and slight smile followed by a nod he came the reply.

" I appreciate the kind words although I can say to feel guilty for myself had been off-world when it happened. And wasn't able to attend the services personally. Which would guess was how he would wish it ... as he always put such emphasis on duty. And despite our differences, he never stops make sure to look out for us....not once want any harm come to us... me and my twin sister."

At which time seem to chime in after seem to take cue upon hear about his sister.

"Odd too, that I never got to know your sister, like you had with my brother.

Sigh...I guess that's what happens when you study off world. But at the time, Alderaan couldn't provide me with the versatility of off-world universities. It has kind of been my family's tradition to not only send their male heirs off to schools to prepare them for their duties here but also our daughters. "

Which he in turn replied.

" Well, guess your not the only one seeing as she's much older than am....so few ever got know of her as she was always off following behind father heel. Engage in the affairs of the running of the house than anything else... she was never one to stray too far from home. Quite the opposite of me guess...as couldn't wait till I got of age and was able to go the academy away from home. Always wanted to see the universe at large outside the four corner of the family estate."

And to which seem upon his mentioning of his being an ambassador that eh come speak.

"But wow...that's fantastic, Nick. Ambassador, I mean. I didn't know that."

To which he then after take a few drink replied.

"Yeah know wow indeed.....thought fantastic or more like not something I've thought be. Not even in my wildest dreams but just the same given the history the royal house of Organa has with ours. I would think it would be the least i could do in exchange for all that they've done for us. And all the people of Alderaan. To represent Alderaan to one its myriad of allies."

As she then seems out of curiosity continued on ask.

"Which system are you representing Alderaan on?"

Which he then replied back.

"Well at this time I am called represent for the Remnant Republic including the meta lords..."

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
"The Metal Lords..." Marina more repeated that to herself than to [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] .

"I know so little of their plight, yet I am currently in negotiations with Ra'a'mah, who has also taken up plight on their behalf." She then said, concerning the topic of the metal lords.

It were true, up until a few weeks ago, she only knew of one sentient droid and that was @SN-1411. A unique droid whom she had not seen since the Red Plum Gala by which her queen [member="Faith Organa"] had arranged for the sake of the refugees, that were displaced due to the conflicts of the current chaotic galaxy.

"I'm going to have to make you my 'go to guy', concerning the Metal Lords, Nick." She chuckled, as it were certainly a small circle by which they were both somehow intertwined in.
"i'm still in the infancy of learning about the political arena within Alderaan, much less other systems and factions. "

It seemed this little lunch had turned into a plethora of revelations. What had started as a get together concerning the Explorer Corps, had become an arc that included boththeir Great Houses, kin folk, and out world systems and Allies. Seemed everything in many ways were connected in various degrees. Seemed the more she discovered, the less she actually realized she knew. But Marina had always been a quick learner. There was little she could not do when setting her mind on it. Talking to Nick opened up her eyes more. She was glad he had made the time to have lunch with her.

It was then slightly puzzled by her momentary pause Andulf could help be draw glance back at her. As if wondering if anything else was it something he said or not said that cause she seems pause but then again. The mystery seems to be soon somewhat clear as she continued on speaking.

"I know so little of their plight, yet I am currently in negotiations with Ra'a'mah, who has also taken up plight on their behalf."

To which he at best did well to try to hide his reaction to hear Ra name being mention in the conversation. Seem not so much due to the fact that is if anything else it was to the best his knowledge that. None knew of their earlier meeting and the circumstance behind it was know. Kept secret and was at best relegated to gossip rumor. As he noted in the back his mind the clear objection and reaction he has gotten not only from his twin sister as well the captain of the house guards regarding the incident. How utterly reckless and somewhat risky the move was as it was at best against protocol .... but then again he did his best argue his way around it. At which time figured it was a subject best left for a later time contemplate he then push it all to the side. As he then with sly smirk return to the conversation to then add.

"Indeed, you and me both.... so it seems between the Metal Lords and Ra'a'mah. I have admitted that I barely know of their plight but just the same I try my best to engage them in some semblance of a conversation. To hopefully hear them out and perhaps try to gain some understanding of their plight. Which is as foreign to me as learning be anywhere close to what my father or brother-in-law had achieved in my absence. which had been quite of a learning curve for me given the tradition of succession within our house. "

At which time she then seem having slowly taken in every bit understanding she appears have gotten from what was said then concluded to add.

"I'm going to have to make you my 'go to guy', concerning the Metal Lords, Nick."

In which, with a sly smirk Andulf leans back a bit as seem in deep thought or mishief....whichever the case she could pick up from his words next.

"Well, then Marina guess I am .....am I? As you plainly put it....be your 'go to guy' which kinda remind me that you are indeed Jerrid sister. For if memory serves me right it was his sentiments to when it came to the certain subject when we were in the academy. Not that I guess he'd be caught dead tell your father now seeing the fact of ....thought I reckon he be none to please when he finds out I told you. But he was my go to guy when it came to helping I need get out of some not quite as good situation. While I was his go to guy when he was in need of some bit of tutoring when it came to preparing for finals."

"Ha-ha...yes that's my brother Jerrid." She couldn't help but laugh as Nicky was right about Marina's sibling.

Jerrid was smart, but no genius when it came to academics. He was although a good brawler, much to the dismay of marina, her mom and sis. But his temper was always in control, just that he didn't take kindly to anyone threatening family and friends.
It was good to know that her brother had backed Nicky in that account.

"So that explains his sudden academic grades increase; it were your coaching. Hmm..." That made sense, as she had herself coached her elder brother on a few subject matters via holo transmissions. Seemed that her brother's mind were off elsewhere sometimes. But like her father, Jerrid not only studied abroad, but had also gone throughout his childhood and up till just a year ago to some kind of family male excursions off world someplace. It was a male thing and rarely even mentioned, especially to the females of the house. But through the centuries it had become a secret sort of tradition passed down from father to son kind of thing.

"...interesting, yes. " She nodded, before taking another morsel to chew on.

"So then it's almost like your school days with my brother. Now you'll coach me about the Metal lords...hehe.." It was funny how things moved around the galaxy in a circle.

"Ha-ha...yes that's my brother Jerrid."

He then heard her say to which only made him smirk a bit more and soon laugh alongside her while shaking his head a bit.

"Yeah, good o' Jer...save me thru quite a few scrapes and bad decision...."

He adds as his words sort trail off in the end as he internally noted how that was in a sense not entirely true. For there was one during the latter part of their academic years that he didn't quite succeed till he figured it was too late. A decision which seems still haunt him this day and he dare not speak of to anyone...maybe other than him personally when the two them chance to meet again. At any rate, doing his best to keep at the moment and not dwell too much in the past around her. He no less quickly tried to brush this thought aside and shift gears as the conversation seem to move on to other things. That which came the topic of academics and he no less had to come clean in tell her something else.

"So that explains his sudden academic grades increase; it was your coaching. Hmm..."

To which he then with a sly smirk adds.

"Yeah I guess .... thought he rather not call it 'Coaching' but something else like says sparring. Which I know kinda interesting... not quite what one would expect to call it but what can I say? It did help to throw off any suspicions from the academy headmasters or staff as to what was going on in terms of the shift in his grades and all."

At which time she then seem to agree with adds.

"...interesting, yes. "

At which time their conversation shifted back to her to which his response soon came be contemplated then reply by her soon enough.

"So then it's almost like your school days with my brother. Now you'll coach me about the Metal lords...hehe.."

Which all but elicited a nod from him as he continued on to say after taking a few bites of his own food.

"Yeah which I suppose be certainly an interesting turn of events.... of which have to admit. Thought the Metal Lords can be quite a peculiar group deal with given their unconventional structure or such. They are as far I've known one the more directly straightforward group I've dealt with so far.....that is once you get to know or pick up on the subtleties of their kind I would suppose is a rather simple way to see it."
