Sealab : Velusia

Location : Somewhere in some ocean

A large yacht rocked in the ocean waves. Equipment for testing algae growth in specialized tubes lay scattered across the wood decking, most seemed to be in neat piles. Judah stood hunched over one of the tubes, preparing it for 'launch'. Clad only in his new hideous plaid swimtrunks, the late morning sun beat down on his back. Velusia reminded him a little of his adopted homeworld of Ceto. Ocean filled, warm and tropical.

Salacia needed such worlds to expand and grow the algae needed for the expanding 'green energy' line. Recently the company had even knocked out a air scrubbed powered by algae. Useful stuff that was cheap and easy to grow. It really didn't need much tending after.

Sealing up the tube and tying the buoy on, Judah tossed the experimental tube into the blue-green ocean. If he finished early enough there would be time for more leisurely activities. [member="Thessa Kai"] didn't join him on this trip, she a small amount of business to attend, it didn't stop him from hoping she got done a little early. Then again, the Galan would be bored to death with his more 'nerdy' activities.

"Makai, don't swim off too far....not sure whats in these waters."

Scale speckled toes stood on the edge of the swim deck as water lapped against them. Makai was trying to outdo his father in his own overly colorful swim trunks, the kind that caused his mothers' eyes to roll at the pair of Dashiell men. Iced azure gaze looked into the clear depths, searching for the silvery glint of fish. They had passed some reefs of some type a short distance away and the boy was itching to swim through.

"Most dangerous sea creatures live at the bottom." Makai wasn't sure if it was true but it sounded good to his ears. It sounded like something Captain Atlantis would say about misunderstood animals. "I'm just gonna go see some stuff....I won't go far."

With that the half-aquatic boy jumped into the ocean. Typical to his Galan heritage, hands and toes began to web. Small gills appeared behind his ears, ones normally obscured by his shaggy hair. Makai didn't have to struggle with coming up for air or worry about drowning...well....unless someone held his gills shut.

Kicking, he darted off in the direction of the colorful reefs he saw earlier.

The sixth Aquar princess sat gracefully upon her throne. The young princess had been hearing the requests of some of the local Aquar for a few hours now. "Yes yes, leave me now." She faked a smile as she called the guards off. Clara needed some alone time. She nuzzled back into her chair, which was decorated with gems and coral as she prepared for a peaceful day...

Until an obnoxious guard rushed into her quarters. Crying about some surface dwellers in her waters. "Well, what does my brother pay you for?" She rolled her eyes trying to make excuses as to not work at the moment. "Alright. I will go check on it." The princess said coldly and swam up, her long hair flowing through the water.

She quickly swam closer to the surface, the bright light starting to hurt her eyes.

Ugh, how do surface dwellers deal with this light... She thought as she neared the location.

Though, the naked Aquar saw something just as the man had mentioned. It seemed to be a large ship in the water and... a boy. Swimming too far under for a surface dwellers lungs to withstand.

Clara rushed to him, curious to see what was going on.

A quick kick pushed him closer to the corals. Life was teeming in the waters. Another kick to dive deeper and Makai found himself skimming along the bottom of the reef and its 'shallows'. Hand reached out to grab onto a rock, stopping to watch a small school of fish dart in and out of the anemones and sea grass. Free hand reached out pick up a small hermit crab, looking closely at its odd shell before placing it back down in the gently waving patch of sea grass.

Moving along the bottom closely, Makai was searching for "treasures" that had fallen and settled along the reefs. If it was a more tourist rich planet the more odd items could be found. Iced azue eyes scanned the sea floor, sometimes stopping to brush sand aside or inspect closer.

Eyes went to a wider swath to search but found something else. An object barreling straight towards his location. It looked....it looked a little like a girl with scales. Makai rarely encountered human-like persons with scales so he couldn't believe his eyes. They narrowed as he slowly backed up along the reef line, unsure of the visitor.
