| APPEARANCE: Standing at a diminutive five foot, four inches, Sayla is clearly not what one would expect of one to wield the dark side of the force. Likewise, dressed within light robes akin to that of a Jedi, she is additionally not exactly in-line with the Sith she is so often compared to. However, the occasional yellowing of her eyes during her more distressed moments are one of the few ways one might discern her for what she truly is. STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES: [+] Determined: Though often for the wrong reasons, Sayla is incredible in her willingness to see something through to the end. Regardless of this willingness, she preserves herself above all else. [+] Resourceful: Often forced to think in different terms from the 'standard', she has become reasonably intelligent in problem-solving, even if this is rarely seen due to her reserved nature. [-] Naïveté: Though believing herself to be extremely intelligent, Sayla is quick to trust, and quick to believe. She believes herself able to defend this nature with her strength, though she often believes herself more capable than she is. [-] Delusional: Likewise does Sayla believe that she is more powerful than others around her. Often sundered by delusions of righteousness, she moves down a path often tread, all while believing herself prophetical in an atypical viewpoint. |
BIOGRAPHY: Taken in by the Jedi at a young age, Sayla depicted no extreme differences from other younglings that were present within the temple she was raised in. It was when she reached her mid-teens, however, that her mind grew more and more curious as to the many ways of the force, and how those that wielded it viewed others with such disdain. Believing herself to have unearthed a middle ground previously undiscovered, her experimentation with the dark side began to grow more and more prevalent than that of her peers, and soon enough, her mind had been twisted from the well-trained Jedi that once stood within that temple. Now finding it ever-more difficult to maintain her secrecy, Sayla was eventually exposed as tampering with both mind and body in the ways of the dark side, and she was violently expelled from the Order she was part of. Nearly dying in her departure, she managed to escape with only the lightsaber she had been trained with, as well as the robes that denoted her affiliation with a religion she now detested. She remained relatively unseen for several years to follow, until her eventual sally forth back into the ways of the force and just how she could grow herself in its utilization. Though she believes herself neutral, the dark side still holds firm upon her its grip, and continues to drag her ever-closer toward the fullest of its embrace. |
