Saying Hello (Ashelia, Yuroic & Asaraa)

There was a newcomer to the Silver Jedi Order, it was a unique case of someone gaining a connection to the Force not being born with that connection. It was stated that there were some issues with the newcomer's attitude to using the Force but that was something many had with a Force. Yuroic was a grey Force User himself, not fixed on a singular path so he understood the intrigue in the Dark Side of the Force, but there needed to be a healthy level of respect towards it. Yuroic dressed himself in simple clothes, a plain grey sweater top, loose fitting jeans and a plain pair of trainers.

Yuroic walked towards the entrance, looking around for the newcomer. He had invited Asaraa to join him, thought it would be a good idea to spend time with his daughter and she could do with some downtime doing something not based on fighting. There had been a lot of conflicts and plenty more to come with the Mandalorians going in the direction that they were but Yuroic thought it was a good idea that Asaraa step away from that for a bit at least. Yuroic had been a Padawan trained during conflict and he remembered how much that harmed in psychological ways. The people he lost that he hadn't been ready to lose.

Hopefully, she wouldn't suffer the same way he did.

It had only been a single day since her return from the Bubble of the Lost with newfound power at her fingertips. Since then, the diminutive Elzeri had delved into her studies with a renewed energy. Unlike before, Ashelia actually held the potential within herself to execute the Force techniques that she studied. Even the advanced techniques were within her grasp, but only if she worked hard to master the basic ones first. When she still worked as a dancer within the lower depths of Coruscant, the arcane techniques that she read had been hopelessly out of reach given her lack of natural sensitivity to the Force. For a while, she had considered becoming a priestess within the Church of the Force. That had been the advice a few of her co-workers had parroted to her when she told them about her obsession. Most simply laughed at her as if she had been joking. When they realized that she was indeed serious, they adopted a patronizing tone with her and said that she would grow out of her obsession with the Jedi and the Force itself when she realized how the galaxy worked.

Now, they could choke on their “advice”. Unlike them, Ashelia had not been daunted by the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that stood in the way of her goals. She did not abandon the pursuit of her dreams at the first sign of hardship. Instead, she strove harder in her endeavors because she understood that nothing ever worth doing was easy. That had been one of the first lessons instilled into her after she emerged from the growth tube with nothing to her name.

In the end, her persistence had paid off.

Ashelia waited at the entrance to the Great Hall until she saw the tall and handsome man that was to act as her counselor as she began the process of becoming a member of the Silver Jedi Order. It suddenly dawned on her that she was only a single meeting away from fulfilling the first of her many grandiose dreams. She smiled at the thought, but quickly suppressed it as the Master approached her.

With a deep breath to calm her anxiety, Ashelia gave a short bow to the man and directed her heterochromatic gaze towards his.

“Master Xeraic, I’m ready to begin.” Ashelia spoke calmly. "Where are we meeting?"
