Say hello, wave goodbye

Since Tmoxin's new yacht was still in the shipyards, she met Lurcano in the Dragon Palace Casino in the requisite VIP area reserved for Ravens. She had only sent him a message that she wished to meet him but hadn't given him the reason.

Tmoxin had a glass of Smuggler's Red and sat at a table alone. A bodyguard kept an eye on her from afar. The decision she had made was difficult but circumstances had forced her hand and now it was time to turn the Sergeant at Arms role over to another capable criminal. She checked the time, hoping the Nagai wouldn't be late and make her wait too long. Her mind again turned to what had driven her to make the decision and she wondered how honest she would be with Lurcano. The noises in the casino - money being won, toasts and cheers and even young lovers kissing - all made her mood more sour. She wrinkled her nose at two young, drunk ladies that came tripping by in the highest heels and took a long drink of her wine.

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano walked through the casino, curious to why he'd been called. He had gotten to know Tmoxin better as the days had gone by, and he respected her well enough. Or at least, given her as much respect as Lurcano could manage. Lurcano puzzled over the various reasons that he might have been called for a private meeting with her. He pushed all his lewd thoughts and fantasies aside as he continued to think, going over various reasons; but nothing stuck. Lurcano just shrugged his shoulders before thinking, 'I guess I'll find out eventually once I see her and she tells me.' Despite all the scenarios that Lurcano went through in his head, what was about to happen was the furthest from what he had even thought was possible. He walked through the casino, reveling in the various sounds that were everywhere. Two people making love, cries of both joy and despair as people lost and earned life savings. It was glorious. 'There truly could not be a more unique place in all the galaxy then Antecdent. A party goers paradise indeed, and Lurcano was glad the Red Ravens had decided to make this planet their base. He finally reached the room in which Tmoxin was supposedly waiting for him. He composed himself before entering the room. He greeted Tmoxin warmly, before taking a seat. His eyes went from checking the room from potential traps, to her chest, to the wine that was in front of him. He poured himself several healthy glassfuls before lounging back and sipping on the wine.

Lurcano Car'dann: "So, what's this all about Tmoxin? I'm not in trouble am I? Or perhaps I'm being rewarded eh? Come now, the anticipation is killing me. Out with it if you will!"

Tmoxin smiled at Lurcano and it felt like the first time she had cracked a smile all day. "Some things never change," she said, smirking as the Nagai downed a couple glasses of wine in a row. "And no, you're not in trouble." Her face was tense. The Hapan Officer tried to give her friend a playful smile but it was forced.

"I'm promoting you," she said plainly. "To the new Sergeant of Arms. Patricia is aware and well she is the one you'll be reporting to now so I advise to you be on your best behavior around her. She is exacting, demanding and not easy to please. But you are aware of that." She took another sip of wine.

"How does that sound to you? Are you up for the job?"

Tmoxin Temi: "Some things never change. And no, you're not in trouble. I'm promoting you. To the new Sergeant of Arms. Lurcano stared blankly at Tmoxin, momentarily stopping his assault on her wine stores. He blinked several times, going over what she had said. 'Did I hear that right?' Lurcano stared at her for a few more seconds, before shrugging his shoulders and downing another glass of wine. He sighed, as he let his brain go to work. 'Wow. Who would of thought that this is where I would end up eh? Shame she's going. She wasn't half bad in a place like this. Oh well..."

Lurcano Car'dann: "I'm not someone who speaks very eloquently, so I'll be frank here. It was fun talking, flirting, and just in general doing various things with you. I'm sorry that we won't get to spend more time together, because I'll be the first to admit you're a bad ass, and a sexy one at that. But I'm not the person to talk you out of something like this. If you want to promote me, I'll accept gratefully and wish you luck on your merry way. Am I up for the job? Hell yes I am. As for Patricia? Well." Lurcano just chuckled, and gave an exaggerated wink towards Tmoxin's direction, a smirk on his lips. "I think I can handle her. So what, is this official?"

Tmoxin grinned and said, "Yes and I'll let Patricia know you accepted." Maybe it was the wine which she was drinking quickly
tonight but she felt like confiding him in the young Nagai. "You didn't ask because, well you understand the importance of private affairs
but I'm leaving because Cryax Bane and I had a falling out. It started when he found out my brother is in the Rebel
Alliance which as you know is a primary enemy of the Ravens. To punish me he left me in a prison to die while Rebels bombed
it. I escaped just barely with my life."

She sighed and clasped her well-manicured hands onto the table. Her green eyes met his. "I don't tell you this
to poison the well and turn you against them. I only tell you so you can understand why I made the choice I did. I can't forgive Cryax for
what he did."

Lurcano Car'dann: Lurcano just shrugged his shoulders, filing off what Tmoxin had told him in his mental filing cabinet. He thought about what she said, his face looking rather peculiar. 'I'll have to watch this Cryax fellow. From what I'd heard, he didn't seem like the most threatening figure. A gay, blue skinned, computer nerd. Not impressive either physically or socially. Yet I might have to rethink a few things.' From the picture Tmoxin painted, this was not someone Lurcano would want to fuck with. He would defenitely have to be careful about certain things in the future. He took another sip before speaking. "Hey, I understand. You handled a lot better then I would've. If I was put into your situation, I probably would have tried something stupid that would have gotten me killed. I appreciate you opening up to me. And, hey. I propose a toast." Lurcano raised his glass, a stupid grin on his face. "To Tmoxin!" He echoed out loudly. "May she succeed in wherever her future adventures take her." Lurcano held his glass in the air, before downing it a moment later.
