Saul Vizsla might have been raised on Roon, but his roots remain firmly in the fields of Galidraan IV. After being condemned by the Sith Imperial loyalists for aiding in an underground rebellion, Robert and Martha Balfour were forced to flee to the furthest reaches of the Galaxy in hopes of surviving, eventually being taken in by the Mandalorian Enclave before their trek to Kestri. By the time Willan Tal’s New Imperial regime retook their homeworld, the Balfour family had already settled in with the Enclave, having been accepted into Clan Vizsla.

Young Saul was raised in a typical Galidraani household, their views and beliefs integrating comfortably into the family’s new life, resulting in a family that went above and beyond for kin and country. Robert wanted to make sure that his son knew their proud heritage, but also ensure that he would live to see a bright future with their new people. This resulted in Saul being raised in a disciplined, yet warm, house with training starting at a very young age.

When he reached the age of 18, Saul enrolled into the harsh Si’kahya training program to continue his family’s proud military history. With his family deciding to retire and kick back, Saul dutifully took up the role of serving his comrades.

Saul is an optimistic realist, with a smile and a laugh ready to go at a moment’s notice. Generally, he’s a reserved man who cares deeply for clan and kin, though when the drums of war start beating, and emotions run high among his comrades, his demeanour is amplified as his true colours are brought to the surface.

A deeply religious man, Saul believes wholeheartedly in his parents’ teachings, including a plethora of superstitions and dislikes. Though he’s a stubborn man, Saul is willing to shift his suspicions when others can prove him wrong… or buy him a drink.
