Sasha's mother was
Katara Starkos-Lesan
's younger sister. Britta was single and never married, though always wanted to have a child. She like Katara and their father Jack were career CorSec agents. During the aftermath of a big criminal takedown, Britta came across an abandoned infant in a warehouse. She immediately fell in love with the little girl who had fair skin and strawberry blonde hair. Not a soul came forward to claim the Baby Jane Doe so the orphanage in Coronet allowed Britta to adopt her. She named her Sasha after her own mother who had died young in life.
It became apparent early on that Sasha wasn't a normal child. Britta knew what it might mean, and tried to ignore the signs for as long as she could before contacting the Jedi Order to have the young girl tested. Soon after that, Britta made the hardest decision of her life and sent Sasha off to be trained as a Jedi. Sadly, Britta was killed in the line of duty a year later having never mentioned her daughter to the Lesan side of the family due to a falling out with Katara.
