OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Holocron Name: Sar-Vun’s Memory
  • Alignment: Neutral
  • Origin: Sar Vun
  • Affiliation: Shavara
  • Gatekeeper: The Gatekeeper is a small creature that resembles a baby Shgurak. This is due to it appearing as the original Shgurak’s did before they were altered. It is often blue and appears to glow, but if one were able to look close enough they could see it is semi-transparent. It is only a projection of the holocron that has a temporary body. The dragon must like the person, and in turn be liked, for the person to find the holocron. Those who attempt to capture it by force will be assaulted by fire that ever increases in temperature and size until the holocron and it together disappear from the location. Regardless of the damage it did to the person.

  • Description: Sar-Vun’s memory is in many ways like an Ai version of of Sar-Vun in an alchemy format. It replicates his personality and knowledge, but it lacks the authority to act on its own. Instead all it can do is guide others with the great amounts of knowledge the ancient Vo Ni amassed, when it considers them worthy and fitting of its knowledge.
DEFENSES
  • Accessibility: The Holocron will only respond if a person is of good intentions and desirous of knowledge. But first someone must befriend the gatekeeper who will seek them out, and after being befriended, if it is, will lead them to the holocron.
  • Security: The holocron is almost impossible to find unless a person has already met the Gatekeeper. The gatekeeper chooses who it appears to, guiding them to the location of the holocron which can change locations of its own choice. Even when stationary the holocron is almost always entirely invisible, designed to be hidden from force sensitives and senses alike until the Gatekeeper has shown it to them, who must be befriended first. Should the holocron decide a user is no longer in need of it, or should learn no more from it, the holocron will again hide and move itself. If someone tries to force secrets from it or the Gatekeeper, the gatekeeper will release fire in vast amounts and intensities until it and the holocron vanish and move again through a form of teleportation.
CONTENT INFORMATION
Sar Vun’s Holocron brings with it the voice, knowledge, and personality of Sar-Vun himself. The holocron can grant vast amounts of knowledge about alchemy that spans from the dark, to the light, and through the neutral. It describes ways to create items similar to the ones used by the nightsisters to change form though certainly different in design, it teaches how to create items that absorb or cancel the force, or how to create tools that focus on specific aspects of the force. It speaks of the dangers of alchemy as well as its advantages and when and for what it should be used. Some Vo Ni believe that the great Sar-Vun had managed to learn all there was to know about the craft of alchemy, which was why his holocron is so hard to keep track of and keep hold of. The holocron can teach a person a great deal about alchemy before it leaves them.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Sar Vun was an ancient alchemist of Vran’Ti’s Vo Ni. He was weak by comparison in raw power, but the man was a genius of alchemy and had performed numerous rituals that separated him from most. His skill with Alchemy changed the way they used alchemy forever, even though he kept many secrets to himself. Though he was a Shi, and thus presumed incapable of shapeshifting, many still claim he discovered ways of shapeshifting due to descriptions of some items that have been passed down. The man’s abilities did not go unnoticed by the average Vran, and some attempted to make him the Vran’Ti Vo Ni. However, Sar Vun refused, responding that he would gain so much pride from the position he would lose himself. However his refusal didn’t stop him from actively criticising the ruler of the time. The result was that the Vran’Ti Vo Ni attempted to exile him to the mountains. The man instead simply vanished. But was said to be seen on the great oceans of the planet, others claimed they saw him in the night sky, and others that they had seen him walking amongst shimmering ghosts of the dead. What they do know is that in his absence he began creating even more items of power. But nobody could discover where due to his skills. Sar Vun would continue to influence not just alchemy, but politics, for the next 70 years, having come out of exile after the Vran’Ti Vo Ni’s death having aged seemingly very little. He tried to create a greater peace among the people. Teaching them some of his ways, however Sar Vun began to understand the greed that some would not let go of. And he vanished yet again, this time on his own. For another 30 years he was gone. Working on his “Memory” as he would call it. Sar Vun returned to the spotlight after four years of tyrannical rule of a Vran’Ti Vo Ni. The two fought, with Sar Vun ultimately reigning champion after killing the man. However, instead of attempting to take his place, the alchemist gave warning that the position would destroy almost all who took it. And that his fear of taking the seat of power was too strong still. And his time was up. He is said to have removed his helmet in front of all, and that his body vanished before them. His armor vanished with him. Although a few pieces of his earlier designs have been found, his last armor appears to have completely vanished as far as anyone is aware.

The Holocron itself was first discovered by someone who actually wasn’t force sensitive at all. The individual was permitted to teach only and not to use the power of the holocron for himself. They went on to further influence the alchemy of Vran’Ti but apparently lost the holocron. The next time the holocron would be discovered would be when a Grai Vo stumbled on it. However, due to the nature of the Grai Vo they could not use it as they sucked the power of the force from it. It remained with them in the mountains for the next twenty years before it was left alone and again vanished.

Although few are aware of it, the holocron made its way off planet twice. Once into the hands of a jedi who misunderstood its purpose mistaking it for an act of sith alchemy. Choosing not to use its knowledge. And then next into the hands of an elderly man who took great joy in learning from it. But who would die before he could accomplish much with it.

The holocron went missing for a great deal of time after that until it ended up in the hands of Shavara Warksher. A young Vo Ni who didn’t like the situation that her planet was put into and wanted to do something about it, as a result she joined the Eclipse Rebels. Although Shavara doesn’t keep it with her, instead following the holocron’s gatekeeper deep into the ocean where it is hidden inside of a large cave system.
