Sanity Seems Counter-Productive

Helios had finally found the man he was after. As he barely skimmed the mind for details. He didn't want to render a full down assualt. It could and with Helios in charge. Likely would both be rather painful, and in turn rather obvious to society. ~Shipment... Undelivered... 3 standard days ago..~ Helios blinked and was about to pry a little deeper into the man's mind. Just a slight bit.. As Helios both wanted more details, and wanted to lesrn more about manipulating a mind... He had plans after all!

Though his concentration was broke as [member="Kalyn Tyree"] grabbed and spun him. Causing Helios to flinch and... Accidentally guiding Helios to a new control trchnique. As Helios resisted the urge to nerve strike Kalyn. By simply wrapping his arm around her shoulder. However a definitve release of the flow happened. As a man near the food court was rendered unconcious by Helios' force connection to his mind. Whoops? So much foe being a pacsifist. As cool as Helios found the ability to shut a mind down. Perhaps in a slightly cynical manner.

When Kalyn touched his mind. The sane part of himself was throwing around curse words left and right. Though his thoughts paused as Kalyn spoke. ~Yes! The man I knocked out has information!~ Helios returned the thoughts to Kalyn. Of course the problem was a small crowd was now forming around the man. Looking for an explanation as to how a seemingly healthy cargo shipper, happened to be rendered unconscious by seemingly nothing.

Kalyn's head snapped to her shoulder as she felt something grab her, but relaxed when she realised it was just [member="Helios Venth"] . She was awaiting a reply from him, getting slightly impatient, thinking that maybe his connection to the Force had been severed somehow. That was when she heard a sudden thump. Her head turned to look behind her as she saw a man unconscious on the ground, Kalyn's eyes widened. She turned back to Helios pointing her index finger at him, about to ask if he did that and why.

Before she could ask, Helios replied t her first question, replying with an affirmative answer. Kalyn smiled as Helios had actually proven to be a lot of help in the matter, the unconscious man completely slipping from her mind. That was until she frowned once again when he told her the information was within the man he'd knocked out. ~Are you kidding me!~ She said through the Force, folding her arms and looking back to the crowd that now surrounded the man.

~What're we supposed to do now? Shove our way through the crowd and just pick him up and go?~ She asked sarcastically. She racked her brain for what to do and how to get the man out of here without it looking like a kidnapping. That was the last thing she needed. Though him being unconscious did kill the possibility of him resisting to come peacefully, after a bit of though she declared it was a win lose situation, slightly happy Helios had unintentionally knocked him out, unhappy that now everyone would be a spectator to whatever the pair decided to do next with the man.

~I like that idea! Burn... Wait... You were being sarcastic...~ Helios responded and blushed some. As it was clear his manic side had for a second. Breifly hoped the direct approach was the one they'd go for. It would give Helios a chance to burn... Defend against any who disagree! Though he knew Kalyn would be mortified at the thought of lighting a public place on fire. For the sake of completing a mission. None the less... Helios was going to test a... Morally challenged force technique.

Alright on a more down to the world note. Helios was going to down right continue learning dark force powers. Helios proved he hoped his heart was mostly in the right place. ~I might be weak.. After this.~ Helios warned Kalyn as he hadn't been in touch with the force much... And now he was about to pull off a higher level illusion. Though Helios was slowly finding screwing with minds came naturally to him. He had a broken mind himself after all!

Helios reached out and slowly began to connecting with minds. One mind at first... Then slowly a second mind. A third and a fourth followed that. Then slowly Helios made his way to connecting to the groups minds. As Helios moved his hand forward and began a motion that indicated a mind technique.

At first nothing happened. Then a blood curtling scream went off amoungst the crowd. "Rancor! Rancor loose in the markets!" A woman screamed. Which caused the rest of the crowd to turn. Soon followed by more screams. As Helios focused on working the dark side of the force. Tempering with their minds and making them believe a Rancor was on a rampage. People began to panic and head the opposite direction of the 'Rancor.' leaving the unconscious man open for [member="Kalyn Tyree"] to take.

Helios meanwhile dropped to a knee and breathed heavily. As he had used a technique that drained him quite thorougjly for the day. Though Helios revealed where his strength in the force truly lied. For now at the very least. As the only thing Helios over looked. Was the two individuals in the antique shop...

Kalyn laughed lightly and shortly as she noticed the shade of red appear on his cheeks. ~No, we won't be taking that approach.~ She assured him, definitely not giving the thought of burning down a market a rethink. Under no circumstances would she endangered innocent civilians. Especially when there were so many of them in the one area. No, she kept thinking of a way to distract the people, or perhaps they could impose as someone else and take care of the man, perhaps a medical team, though their particular attire of clothing would state otherwise.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when [member="Helios Venth"] told her he'd be weak in a minute or two. She turned all her attention back to him. ~What? Why?~ She asked curiously wanting to know what he planned to do. She slightly feared what he was about to do, was he going to use the fire? Was that why he'd be weak? She fell into a state of confusion, until he reached out with his had and Kalyn safely assumed he was once again utilising the Force. She could see the Force taking a slight toll on him as he'd flinch every so often as he continued to dabble in the power of the Force without proper training.

Kalyn jumped when a scream made its way to her ears, yelling about a Rancor on the loose. She looked behind Helios and saw nothing, she then looked up at Helios. Mind tricks. The crowd quickly dispersed, a few of the people shoving their way past Kalyn and Helios, one clumsy civilian bumped right into the back of Kalyn forcing her forward into Helios, she regained her footing before rubbing her forehead, "Sorry." She turned back and saw the man left wide open.

She took a few steps towards the man but stopped when in the corner of her eye she saw Helios drop to one knee, she crouched down in front of him. "Hey you alright?" She asked. All of a sudden a deep voice brought her to attention. "Hey! You two! What do you think you're doing." A big burly male had called out to the them. "I saw what you did!" He accused, nodding towards Helios. "Think you can cause trouble here and get away with it?!"

Kalyn stood up once again, "Now, hold on a minute, I think there's just been one really big misunderstanding here." She said holding both her hands in front of her as if to keep the two individuals back. The men didn't stop closing in on them as Kalyn tried to think of some sort of alibi, a lie, excuse anything.

Helios felt [member="Kalyn Tyree"] bumped into her. He was too focused at the time to have caught her. When he looked ahead to Kalyn. He heard her ask if he was okay. As he slowly nodded his head. Visions of rancors dancing in his head. He focused momentarily on her face. As he breathed slowly and deeply. Focusing his mind to getting over the fear he had to tap into, to invoke the panic he had caused. "Yes... Not used to extending the force past my body..." he admitted to her and softly touched her arm.

"Were..." Helios started as he peeked up and glanced towards the man. Who appared rather irrate at what Helios just caused. Helios slowly and shakily stood up as he saw spots in his vision. "You hurt?" he muttered to [member="Kalyn Tyree"] to finish his interrupted question. As he focused on her again. To regain his mind. Which not too suprising. Focusing his attention on her helped quite a bit.

"Um... Mind dealing with him?" Helios asked as he looked to the man on the ground. "If you can handle the brute... I think I may be able to walk over and collect our man." Helios admitted. As he shook a little bit from the strain. He had a lot of work to do. Not using the force most his life had consequences. It would take time for his body to get used to channeling it so simply. Though Helios was pleased the progress he made for today. As he looked back to Kalyn. Waiting for her answer to if she got hurt, and if she had the angered vendor covered.

He nodded his head in response to her question. "You can't expect your body to be able to cope with the new Force abilities you're forcing yourself to perform, especially without training from an experienced Master." She said to him. He touched her arm, asking if she'd gotten hurt. She shook her head, " No, I'm fine." She assured him.

She helped [member="Helios Venth"] to stand up, feeling he was barely capable of keeping himself up. "Ay you! Quit ignoring me!" The brute yelled at them once again, getting closer. Kalyn rolled her eyes and scowled at the man and she looked over her shoulder to him.

Helios asked her to take care of the raging man whilst he attempted to collect what they needed. "On it." She nodded, turning to face the man. "Look, I don't want to hurt you, so we can settle this civilly and not have to-" She stopped mid sentence as the brute pulled a blaster from behind the table with all his 'goods' on it. She rolled her eyes once again, "Guess you don't want to reason." She concluded, grabbing her saber from behind her and holding it in front of her, igniting the blade.

He shot at her, Kalyn simply steeping to the side slightly twisting her torso and moving out of the way. The man shot a few blaster shots at her, Kalyn either flawlessly dodged them or deflected them safely with her lightsaber, not a single shot landing on her, the fact that he was a simple thug without any proper training that that of a merc or bounty hunter would have received, was a bit of help as well. He blasted another shot, Kalyn jumping and flipping forward over this one, landing in front of the man, her saber extended and pointed so that it lay centimetres from his throat. Of course she had no intention of decapitating the man, just simply 'scaring' him. That was about as far into 'scaring' she'd go.

She noticed the man smirking at her, it took a second or two to realise why he had such an expression, realising he had his blaster now pointed towards Helios, who had made his way to the unconscious man. She glared back at the man, "Enough, you've lost." She warned. "Not yet." He replied, pressing the trigger on the blaster.

Kalyn's instincts immediately kicked in, lowering her saber foolishly and reaching out with her left hand towards the projectile stopping it in mid air with the Force, her eyes darted back to the brute who'd wasted no time in taking this opportunity to strike, he brought his arm up and whacked Kalyn across the space, she quickly sent the projectile flying upwards into the sky so it wouldn't harm anyone before she landed back on the ground from the attack rolling before stopping as she hit the front of another store.

Kalyn held her head with one hand, groaning slightly. She looked back at the brute and saw him slowly walking towards Helios and the smaller man. She immediately held her hand out and made a motion simply subduing the brute, painlessly, who fell to the ground.

Helios gradually made his to the man they needed to retrieve. As he let Kalyn handle the angry merchant. He didn't like the concept of letting the woman do the hard task. Not even his insane side. Though Helios knew without any force abilities, and without any weapons. Helios wouldn't make it close enough to a blaster armed thug. Even if they were untrained with it.

In fact he was re-assured he would of been in trouble. When he heard the man begin taking shots at Kalyn. Helios still scowled at it though. As he hated not being able to set someone on fire for attacking his partner. It hurt him deep down that he wasn't able to aid in fighting the man. Helios heard the bpaster fire cease. Maybe he got lucky and Kalynhad be-headed the man? Helios could only hope as he knelt down and began to pick up the man. Then the back hair of his neck tingled and he blinked. He heard the blast and turned in time to see a blaster hold being suspended mid-air.

He looked to Kalyn and went to warn her. Though the man landed his blow, and began advancing towards Helios. Who turned his full attention to the man now. Though Helios was unable to use fire. A fire burned in his eyes at the man who struck Kalyn. Helios was about to charge. Though the man suddenly dropped to the ground. As Helios turned his attention to a recovering Kalyn. As he simply huffed. Turning to the man they needed and picking him up. Fueled by anger and adrenaline. Helios made himself stay calm by playing through very violent scenarios of what he wanted to do to the guy who shot at him and hit Kalyn.

He was probably lucky he didn't have any energy left to utilize the force. The man he was holding would of been up for a very painful interrogation. As Helios moved to [member="Kalyn Tyree"] and looked to her. "Next time.. Impale the guy with the weapon, or mark my words. I will burn them alive." Helios commented to her. The look in his eyes verifying he meant the truth. Though it was clear by how he soon settled down. That it was not Kalyn he was furious at. "How bad did he hurt you?" he finally followed up, his tone much gentler. Now that he had expressed his dislike towards how the situation had almost ended so badly.

Kalyn winced as she stood back up, having to use the front of the shop she'd rolled into to help push herself up. She hooked her saber back onto her belt instantly regretting moving her shoulder, as that was the one she'd landed on after the strike from the brute. She held her right shoulder with her left hand trying to lessen the aching. Accompanied with the sore shoulder she had a headache, once again. She held her head but instantly pulled her hand away from her forehead as it stung. She assumed she'd gotten a short cut on her forehead. "Great." She muttered.

She was annoyed with how she handled that situation. Foolishly leaving her guard down and allowing for herself to get injured like this. She had to admit she could've handled this better. Automatically thousands of scenarios ran through her mind, 'better' scenarios. Where she didn't make a mistake, or handled things differently. She rolled her eyes and scowled at herself.

[member="Helios Venth"] made his way towards her with the man in tow. He warned her to impale the next guy that messed with them or else hed burn them alive. She looked at him cautiously. "It's ok, calm down, no one got hurt." She said not wanting to dwell on her mistake. "Besides, Jedi don't kill unless utterly necessary. There's always another way." She mentioned.

Soon enough he'd calmed down and asked how bad she'd been hurt. "Landed on my shoulder, and I think I've got a cut across my head, other than that I'm fine." She finished trying to end on an optimistic note.

(Now know to a fair degres what my character's loyties to the planet and it's leader is. She to a degree encourages his unethical approaches. ;3)

Helios hummed softly and looked about. "Well, I somewhat disagree. There is a time for peace, and a time for bloodshed. When someone is trying to kill your or your partner. Diplomacy has failed and it is time to act." Helios responded as he took his sleeve. Pressing it firmly yet gently to her cut. "Hold still a minute... I want to slow the bleeding till we can get back. So, I can patch you up." Helios spoke in an authorative, yet gentle manner. He may not have force abilities. Though it was clear that Helios wasn't afraid to take charge when he felt the need to act. Additional, Kalyn would be highly underestimating his seriousness. If she felt Helios wouldn't burn the next hostile towards them. Even if he had to physically knck them out, and borrow a flame thrower or a torch to do it.

Helios removed his sleeve after a moment. As he looked to [member="Kalyn Tyree"]. He gave a firm nod of his heas. Then turned and headed towards his apartment. With the man they would be interrogating. Helios supposed this was another good reason for him to have acquired the restraints. As now they had something to hold the victim... Okay, hold the captive still. As Helios was assuming Kalyn would respond unkindly to him, should he mistreat the captive. More so then what was necesarry.

Helios hated how wary he was of Kalyn's presence. At the same time he completely enjoyed it. It was a mixed emotion to the situation. He believed he cared for the individual, despised what restrictions he had to place while being around her. Helios really wanted to set something or someone on fire. Either that or turn them into his puppet. As he chuckled and entered his apartment. Restraining the man to where he held Kalyn earlier. Before looking to Kalyn. "Ready to have your injuries attended to?"

(Haha got it! XD )

Kalyn truly did listen to his words and took them into consideration, given the outcome of the situation. "..Perhaps your right." She said, looking to the side, still ashamed and annoyed at herself despite her attempts to brush the matter aside and focus on the present situation. [member="Helios Venth"] pressed his sleeve to her cut across her forehead, she winced as the fabric made contact with the open wound and slightly nudged away from it but then stood still knowing that Helios was trying to help and that this was for the best, slowing the bleeding. Patching that cut up was gonna be 'fun'. She didn't look forward to it in the slightest.

After receiving a nod of approval from Helios Kalyn turned and the two made their way back to the apartment. Kalyn looked towards the man Helios had in tow. He didn't strike any familiar face she'd known of. She knew they'd have to interrogate him and Kalyn didn't shy from it, but she of course had limits as to how far the interrogation went, she'd prefer to use slightly intruding Jedi mind tricks than inflict excruciating pain towards the man, whether he was guilty of dealing with mercenaries and bounty hunters or not.

They reached the apartment and Helios fastened the unconscious man in the same spot Kalyn had once been restrained. She eyed the area as Helios restrained the man, the recent memories of what occurred coming back to her. She blinked and looked away, realising she probably appeared to be spacing out. Helios ask if she was prepared for him to fix up her wound, Kalyn gave a small nod, "Yes." She replied before sitting down on the couch.

Helios noticed Kalyn space out. "I'll let you take this interrogation. My methods... Are rather direct." Helios admitted when she returned to mind. Plus, he didn't have the energy to really do much. So, he would sit this one out. Helios studied the cut on Kalyn's head and shook his head. It truly wasn't as bad as it appeared. Usually head cuts always aeared worse then they were.

Helios took a few moments to patch it up. Before Helios turned his attention to Kalyn's shoulder. He frowned some and shook his head. "On second thought. We will deal with the interrogation tomorrow. Your shoulder is going to need a little rest." Helios spoke to Kalyn, as he gently rubbed it to loosen it a little bit. Though was cautious not to damage it further. "After we get the interoggation done. You should probably go fill the council in on your report." Helios admitted and nodded his head. He wasn't going to keep [member="Kalyn Tyree"] hostage to his home. She had duties she had to fulfill and Helios could respect that.

Helios smiled some and stood. As he headed to his bedroom. "You can borrow the bed. I will hit the couch." Helios decided in a tone. That made it utterly clear that was the way it would be done. Helios wanted Kalyn to be in the less restrictive area. To give her room to position herself to where the shoulder was comfortable and so it could heal.

Kalyn nodded, agreeing that she'd look after the interrogation [member="Helios Venth"] took to the cut on her forehead and was relieved to find out that it wasn't as bad as she'd thought it was. It was patched up and would heal soon enough. Besides a bit of a throb where the injury was, there was nothing else about the cut that bothered or hindered Kalyn, which she was extremely happy about.

Kalyn sighed in disappointment when Helios informed her that the shoulder injury was a little more serious and would need decent time to heal. Her shoulder did feel a little better though after Helios had rubbed it she had to admit. Feeling some of the aching die down. Kalyn nodded, "I'll have to return to them with the information we get out of the man, unless of course the information he gives me causes me to stay and conduct further investigation." She replied, yawning shortly at the end of her sentence. Kalyn realised what she'd just said, having to conduct further investigation, she remembered Helios had some sort of loyalty or allegiance with Commenor. Whether the loyalty to the planet was strong or not. She knew he wasn't pleased with her starting trouble down on the Trade port and probably wouldn't be content with the possibility of her causing more trouble.

Kalyn opened her mouth in protest, suggesting she'd take the couch not wanting to intrude on his home, but he'd already left. She sighed as a small smile played on her lips. She walked over and sat on the surprisingly comfortable bed, or perhaps it was just the fact that she was absolutely engulfed by fatigue that she found the bed so pleasing. Either way she laid down, careful of her shoulder and fell asleep faster than she'd anticipated.

He didn't comment about her further investigations. He would discuss it if it was necessary. Helios landed on the couch and unlike Kalyn. It didn't come as a suprise when he blacked out, almost instantaneously. He woke up however rather early to the sounds of struggling. Helios looked to the man. As he squirmed and muttered curses under his breath. He had a darker skin complexion, his hair was black, and his eyes were brown. Not quite as tall as Helious though a little more broad.

Helios heaved a sigh and mumbled something about cutting the man's tongue off. Before he proceeded to meditate to restore his energy, and replenish his strength. From there when Helios was confident he could sanely be around the man. He stood up and began to prepare a breakfast. Pouring a few cups of tea, even one for the prisoner. In case Kalyn insisted that he offered a meal to the captive. Then headed to his bedroom.

Helios tapped on the door. Loud enough that he hoped Kalyn heard. So, that when he entered. She wouldn't try to kill him. Helios entered his room and walked up to the bed area. "Let me have a look at your shoulder." Helios spoke to her and sat on the bed. As he offered her a warm smile.

[member="Kalyn Tyree"]

Hearing the knock on the door Kalyn's eyes slowly started to open, when she realised she wasn't in her Jedi quarters she sprung awake temporarily forgetting where she was and yesterdays events. Nevertheless all those memories came back to her as her shoulder started aching from the sudden and quick movement, remembering what had occurred the day before. She muttered a curse word, holding her shoulder.

[member="Helios Venth"] ten entered the room asking to look at her shoulder. She nodded, yawning and moved around so that it would be easier for him to take a look. It wasn't until then she realised she'd slept in her robes, assuming she was too tired last night to bother taking them off. She slid the shoulder part of the robe halfway down her arm so that her shoulder was in clear site.

Her head perked up a little in a curious manner. Hearing struggling and another voice. It then became clear to her that it was the captive they'd retrieved the day before, finally waking up...and restrained in a strangers home. She sighed as she wasn't exactly looking forward to the interrogation, feeling as though the man would refuse to cooperate. Though she may get lucky, but when has a captive of anyone ever been so willing to answer questions forced upon them in such conditions.

"Have you spoken to the captive at all?" She asked, wondering if Helios had gotten up to anything whilst she as asleep.

"You wouldn't of wanted me to speak with the captive." Helios spoke to her softly. "I am not generally a morning person." He admitted as he watched her move her robe down a little. Helios moved in and began to move it about. As he began to strike nerve clusters. In a surgical level of precision. Not supernatural, though just well experienced. As he worked on relieving tension and making it so it was numbed. "Investigating further... Would be ill advised. If something comes up. Inform your council that the ordeal will be handled. My superiors will not take kindly to illegal weapon dealings occuring. The alternative would be I or a representative would have to escort you on your searches." Helios noted and looked to her. He was unable to express the details of what he did here. Though his expression made it clear that he wanted to help her. Though his loyalties conflicted with the objectives of her loyalties to a degree.

Helios finished with working on [member="Kalyn Tyree"], and her injuries. As he stood up and kissed her forehead softly. It was a gentle and quick kiss. It was clear by Helios' expression that he did it mostly absent mindedly. As a manner to express a kind affection towards her. As Helios already began to turn and head to the other room. "Oh, I have tea and food ready for you and the captive." Helios noted as he headed out. To let Kalyn get ready for her interrogation.

She smiled and laughed shortly and lightly about his comment on not being a morning person. He started to begin a few nerve strikes on her arm, relieving tension. Kalyn could feel the aching slowly dissipate and turn into numbness, which felt funny but she'd prefer the numbness in her arm to the constant hindering aching that unfortunately did not want to stop. Kalyn watched as Helios performed the skill that Kalyn had come to understand he was talented in. Striking the specific nerves in order to make one feel better, or worse. She couldn't help but find the skill slightly fascinating how it could be used to heal or hurt.

She looked to [member="Helios Venth"] when he spoke again, "If your superiors can take care of the matter and it is a simple illegal weapons dealing then I'll stay out of the way. But if there's more to it, the council will probably send me back in to investigate further. If that's the case I will follow under Commenors terms and handle this in the most diplomatic way possible, no trespassing no hostility." She replied, showing that if she had to she would agree to be escorted on her search.

Once he was finished, Kalyn pulled her robe back up, "Thank you." She spoke feeling much better now that the aching had ceased, when he didn't say anything in return she looked back up only to have a soft kiss placed on her forehead, a light shade of red appeared on her cheeks as she didn't know how to respond to the sweet gesture. Helios had already turned and neared the door to exit the room before mentioning he had tea and food ready for herself as well as the captive. She sat there on the bed a moment longer before turning and looking back at the now empty doorway, smiling she got up and headed out to where the other two were, the scent of the warm tea already filling the air.

Helios walked to Kalyn, meeting her half way. As he handed her a plate of food. Then a cup of tea. He looked to their captive and scowled some. As he proceeded to walk over to the man. "Turn away Kalyn." Helios spoke. Before he struck the man's nerve forcing him to open his mouth. As Helios fed and gave the man tea. Whether the man wanted some or not. As Helios wouldn't be responsible for so called neglecting his hostage.

Helios then turned and got himself some tea and food. As he went to the couch and quietly sat. Humming and tuning the man's rude protests out of his mind. He looked to Kalyn and patted the spot beside him on the couch. As he offered a warm smile to her. Curious to what she thought of the earlier kiss to her forehead. He even seemed shy as the thought crossed his mind.

Helios focused on his food. As he waited to see if Kalyn would join him for the meal. As he looked up and around occasionally. His mellow personality keeping control of his mind.

[member="Kalyn Tyree"]

Kalyn happily took a hold of the food the was offered to her. She was about to take a seat on the couch before she was instructed to turn around, she did so. Hearing a few noises come out of the captive, she didn't protest to forcing the man to eat, Helios was simply trying to help despite there possibly being a better way to go about it. Besides, the man probably was hungry having not eaten since being rendered unconscious the day before.

After the noises ceased she turned back around and saw that [member="Helios Venth"] had sat down on the couch and now motioned for her to sit beside him. She returned the warm smile and walked over to sit beside him without a second thought. Something about the kiss just seemed to make her feel different towards him, she somewhat trusted him more so than before. It was such a random and unexpected gesture yet sweet and caring.

She took a sip of the tea enjoying it, feeling the hot liquid warm up her body. She took a mouthful of the food, looking back up at the captive which was when she realised just how much Helios had helped her. It occurred to her that she probably wouldn't have been able to pull this off at least not as quickly as she did with assistance from Helios. Even if she had captured the man on her own, where would she have gone next, she didn't exactly have a home or base of operation on Commenor.

"Thank you, for all of this Helios. Helping me with the mission." She said sincerely.

"It was my pleasure. I really liked working with you." Helios responded to her calmly. "To be honest... I haven't enjoyed being around someone. As much as I have enjoyed being around you. Something about you is rather special." Helios decided to quietly admit to her. As he glanced down a little shyly. He didn't know how Kalyn exactly felt abiut the situation. Though Helios acknowledged he was warming up to her quite quickly. For reasons Helios couldn't quite place his finger on.

He was bound and determined to help her. It would be his game he had between her. It was a strange way to show affection. Though one could at least say Helios was creative. As he looked over to Kalyn. Studying her with his calm blue eyes. Scanning over her and trying to decide where he stood with her. Oh, yes! Helios had a gift for her. He wanted to make sure he didn't forget it. Helios quietly pulled something out of his pocket. As he held a slightly charred necklace wth a locket on the end. One of the few items that survived the fire when he was six.

Helios offered the item to Kalyn and smiled shyly. "A gift... It is a part of my past. If you would like. I would appreciate it if you had it restored, and you gave it a new purpose. It wasn't the items fault what happened those many years ago." Helios spoke softly to Kalyn. As he spaced out closing his eyes. As he remembered the pain he felt, th anger he wielded when he set his family and home on fire. The fire freed him, though it also brought with it a new weight to carry on his shoulders.

Helios opened his eyes and focused on Kalyn's eyes. As a means to center his thoughts. As only for a moment a fire of anger burned in the back of his eyes. Though if Kalyn studied him close enough. The flames soon turned to a more gentle and warming nature. Almost a protective heat radiating off of them.

[member="Kalyn Tyree"]

Kalyn looked down smiling, trying the best she could to hide and disguise the faint blush that appeared once again. Kalyn had put the pairs first meeting behind her, not forgotten, but she believed she could not dwell on it and had to live in the present. She knew Helios was mentally unstable, that she'd figured out on her own, though it wasn't an excuse to his actions she knew there was a reason for it and he wasn't purely cruel, definitely not cruel.

A day ago Kalyn would've liked nothing more than to put [member="Helios Venth"] behind bars for his unstable mindset and danger to the locals, or anyone for that matter, but even from spending just over 24 hours with him she'd grown to understand him. She could never claim she fully understood him without a doubt. But she knew Helios had seen and gone through unimaginable things, and those things had been the reason he'd ended up the way he is. In no way was this his fault.

Though now she'd wouldn't place him in prison, without a doubt. No matter how mentally unstable he appeared to be. Something about him, made her feel a rare connection with him. Sure some of the Jedi had a sad past, losing a parent or growing up in poor conditions but none had been betrayed by the noes they trusted the most, family. None of them had been sold out by their own parents. Which was perhaps why she felt like Helios understood her, knowing he had had a traumatic experience with his family.

Helios suddenly moved and reached into his pocket, handing her a slightly charred necklace, containing a locket at the end of it. She took the necklace studying it with curious eyes, despite it being charred it was a beautiful necklace. She looked to him as eh requested for her to restore it, a gift to her. "Of course, I can do that." She replied, looking back at the piece of jewellery, smiling at it.

She looked back to him, studying him, she noticed a fire burn in the back of his eyes, she wasn't frightened, she'd learned to know the difference between him showing hostile signs and not. And this was not. She looked to him and saw nothing but pain, anger and suffering behind the flame, which slowly turned to a softer flame as if it'd calmed down and was more gentle.

She flinched forward as if she didn't know if she wanted to or not, in the end she just went for it. Leaning forward and placing a kiss on his cheek to show her appreciation and thanks towards everything he'd done for her.
