Sanguine Enterprises is a syndicate of organizations joined together in common purpose. Officially, they offer services to resolve corporate and societal crises, which is a cover for facilitating and executing legitimate and criminal operations throughout The Core worlds.

Those in search of a corporation with an extensive logistical network involving merchandise, artifacts, ship building, detainment, food, mining and refining can reach out to numerous, local offices and a published holonet comm channel. Deals are aggressively negotiated; success is well compensated, and failure is only tolerated so far or to such a degree.

Its shadow operations are not so easily reached. Those in the know can get in touch with those able to send word to Sanguine, but your average citizen has no direct means of requesting illicit activities. They are an enterprise, not a friendly neighborhood hit shop. Agents are well-trained and disciplined; discretion and loyalty are rewarded while thug-like behavior is a fast way of being retired. Intelligence or coordination networks with third-parties is available to supplement Sanguine's own established capabilities for more specialized requests.

Sanguine enjoys positioning pieces on the board for the long game; some might mistaken its actions as loyalty or dedication to a cause, but nothing is further from the truth. The Customer is not always right, but the richest or most beneficial Customer is usually preferred. Philosophies are quaint, but ultimately limit options -- what the customer believes doesn't matter.

Astra Sadow built Sanguine Enterprise as part of a cabal of interests in The Core. It started on Anaxes as a small, criminal outfit that sought to survive. At some point, Jedi excised certain, larger criminal elements, which left an opening for the smaller groups to move in. After considerable, but localized strife Astra's band of souls acquired even greater means to survive. Some well timed investments and relocations helped position them in places able to exploit an evolving and chaotic galaxy.

Participating in the larger, galactic conflicts between factions and for ideological beliefs was something Sanguine went out of its way to avoid as a small organization. Much larger entities could sweep them away with ease. On occasion they did participate in some of their operations, of course, to get more credits or influence in various worlds of the galaxy. It wasn't until the early 900s ABY when Sanguine began to explore dabbling in larger, galactic affairs. The Sith Covenant's lack of interest in proper governance meant there were opportunities to lay claim to the resources of entire worlds.
