Special Features:
More durable then typical wood
Sensitive to the Force*
Inscribed with Dathomiri symbols

Description: At first glance, Samuel's staff is fairly simple, carved from Snowbark wood, and engraved with several Dathomiri symbols. However, the staff was made to be not just a wooden stick, but something of a weapon, as well as a 'good luck charm' for when Samuel was meant to kill his mother. The staff is slightly more durable then you'd expect from the typical wooden stick. It obviously won't be deflecting blaster fire, shattering armor, or parrying lightsabers; but it won't shatter into little bits if Samuel hits someone with it. And, unless you happen to be a Wookiee, you probably won't be able to snap it over your knee. The most visible feature of the staff, however, is it's senstivity to force energies. When within close proximity (within a foot or two) of a force signature stronger then your average living thing (I.E A force sensitive, including Samuel himself) the symbols on the staff give off a very, very, faint glow. Most likely not to be noticed unless you're in a very dark room. However, when more active force energies- such as if someone was utilizing the force in some way, the symbols glow brightly, in a distinct reddish-orange hue. The glowing dosen't paticularly... do... anything... But it's there. And it's a good nightlight.

In short: It's a glowstick that's not a lightsaber.

* When I sya it's sensitive to the force, I don't mean it's force sensitive. Read the description for more.

This is a pretty neat idea, and I like the intimate history of the staff, but there's something I have to ask for the removal of - that being the force absorption. You don't really have any force-resistant materials to consider it just deflecting/resisting the force, nor is there any clear signs of sith alchemy done to this via what is said in the description for me to believe it to be such, or a development thread for me to understand how/why this was done.

Just remove the force absorption ability or place force resistant materials (such as a terentatek hide or something) on the staff and I will re-evaluate this.
(Note: You will need a development thread for obtaining said materials if you do go with that route.)

To bad, that was the main thing that made the stick fancy. :p But understand the need for dev threads, I was just putting that in on the odd chance that it might not require something like that. Though I may upgrade the staff in the future.

Edits made.

EDIT: I just realized by cutting that out I cut out half of the description...

[member="Samuel Malkloc"] - a 10 post dev thread would be fine if you wanted to have the staff deflect the force as a means of protection. The absorbing can be abused, but if you do a minor imbuing to deflect the force I see nothing wrong with that.

[member="Spencer Jacobs"] - Thanks for the offer, but that's all right, I decided it would be best to start the character with just basic things, and then make them better in the future. I don't want to spawn a character with gear that can deflect the force right away. As I develop the character, prehaps i'll cover the staff in Ternetatek hide or something. :p
