Salt of the earth [Titan Coruscant Facility Bounty]

If there was one thing James Parker's clones weren't it was sneaky, like at all. And besides this was a good field test for the little buggers and dropping upwards to seventy five armed lunatics with no regard for human life on a Titan facility seemed like a good idea at the time. So it was time to blow up one desalination facility on coruscant. Which was the crown jewel of the One Sith empire so this was going to be a fun little experience, especially when you had the people that were stated above.

Rental speeders were at a slight spike today in purchases, nothing that wouldn't be considered out of the ordinary. Mostly from the underworld, a few from the local space port, around fifty in total along with a purchase of a large semi truck speeder. So everything was business as usual on the planet, but each of those speeders had a destination as did all vehicles going from point A to be. And this target was of course the desalination facility that belonged to Titan industries.

"So let's go over the plan one more time!" Parker said on a secure heavily encrypted line as he drove his speeder through coruscant traffic.

"Blow up the facility?" a identical voice answered him on the radio.

"Exactly other me!" Parker said practically bouncing up and down in his seat.

"This is team one approaching the outer gates of the facility. Let's light them up." another identical voice responded.

"Yaaaaaay!!! Senseless violence away!!" and with that the attack on the facility began.

A large freighter pulled up to the outer gates of the facility and soon it parked rather casually as if waiting to get clearance into the facility. But before any exchange of dialogue could be given the back hatch opened and twenty five men spilled out all armed with blasters, rocket launchers, and slug throwers started to engage the gate guards.

The strike team at the front gates engaged in a firefight with the security guards of the facility, there was a bit more security than anticipated but that was probably due to the bounty placed on any and all Titan facilities in One Sith space. Either way it was a fun little battle that continued to power on as minutes passed. Bullets, blaster, and missile fire was exchanged and buildings whether they be nearby sky scrapers or guard posts were hit with explosions and other forms of damage with the crossfire and misses between the two teams.

"Push up me!" one of the Parker clones on the ground said to... well himself.

Bounding over cover with a rocket launcher in one hand and a pistol in the other the clone rolled into a low shooting stance and with one arm fired a rocket at the front gates, with a loud screech the rocket hit hard and blew the steel gates apart sending them inward with the force of impact.

"Yahtzee!!" the clone said before getting a a blaster bolt to the face and falling over dead.

"Ohhhoohoho! Did you see his head?! Oh the humanity!" another clone bringing up the rear said with a laugh as he suppressed the enemy security force.

"Team two is in route, you just keep harassing them!" Parker's voice said on the radio.

When Sage got the call that a mess of clones had begun opening fire on guards at the Titan desalination facility on Coruscant, he knew that he was going to have to lay the tentacle smackdown on someone. If he had to be honest, the Sith Knight didn't personally care a lick about Titan or its facilities. It was the principle of the thing. Folks couldn't just come barreling through Coruscant with guns a'blazing. Order had to be established. Precedents had to be set. Examples had to be made.

Bane mobilized a special unit from the ranks of the One Sith army, outfitting them with blasters, slug throwers, rebreathers and stun nets. He figured he could commandeer about fifty troops without it raising any budgetary eyebrows. Force knew this was no time for red tape. Once he had amassed his unit, he and his troops boarded several speeder trucks with their sights set on the desalination facility.

In a short while, the vessels pulled in to the front gates. Sith troops spilled out of the speeder trucks and at the sight of the dead guards' corpses lying askew, began to surround the facility. Making sure they took cover against the reported rocket launchers, the troops split up so that some covered the front entrance and others, the back exit. Sage himself sprinted to an adjacent building and headed to the roof. It was there that he crouched high above the facility, feeding on the pain and hatred left in the wake of the massacre. The illusionist took a focus from his belt, a wooden hand painted with ancient Sith markings. His lips speaking quietly in tongues, the Knight began to enter the dreamspace, spinning a tapestry of illusions that he would use on the clones inside the facility. There was a sharp crack as he bent forward the pinky of the Hated Hand, enriching his illusions with powerful Sith magic. Soon the waking dreamer would make nightmares a reality.

As the sith would reach out to the force to make the illusions of nightmares dance around in front of the Parker clones he would notice something. They weren't there, there was literally nothing to enter. That lead to one and only one conclusion, they were force dead. So force attacks that weren't purely physical would be next to useless against the psychopaths. But with the presence of sith troopers it did not bode well for the lunatic clones, being caught between two fields of fire it was clear what needed to be done even to their crazed and blood thirsty minds. Push up and assault the objective, or die right there between a rock and a hard place.

"PUSH U-" one of the clones said before being filled with various holes from sith trooper fire.

Another Parker clone looked down at the dead man, pointed a finger and laughed before a bullet slammed into the back of his head and out the other side sending a spurt of blood out the other end whilst his body fell over and twitched.

"OH THAT NEVER STOPS BEING FUNNY!" A nearby clone said and soon the twenty or so clones remaining made their forward push against the ten remaining guards.

With the rush forward throwing various grenades the four men were picked off in the advance but they managed to overwhelm the security guards stationed at what remained of the gates. But the job wasn't done, they had secured the front gates now they had to hold the line against the incoming sith for a few minutes.

"Breaker breaker this is Papa J, package is in route." another voice of Parker echoed on an open channel and something was coming to the facility to make sure the sith had a very lengthy clean up process.

Ping-ping-ping-ping. Flashing red notifications burst into the field of view of Cryax Bane's AR contact lenses. Apparently, One Sith slicers had just picked up an alarming amount of "chatter" about an impending attack on one of the only Titan facilities left on Coruscant, an attack that was said to be in progress. Bane felt his adrenaline rise as he gave the voice commands that would give him access to the open channels of communication around the suspected target, a desalination facility. He heard the voice of someone identifying himself only as "Papa J," a name he immediately began to put through the system for personal identification. Then he heard something that made his blood run cold.

"Breaker breaker this is Papa J, package is in route."

The Chiss sprang to his computer and began to tap into the security Holo feeds around the sector that housed the desalination facility. He found what he thought was Papa J's courier who was en route to the facility and ordered any nearby security droids to apprehend the suspect. Finally, Cryax gave voice commands to his ARCs to call up the encrypted commlink of [member="Darth Carach"], the Voice of the Dark Lord, informing him of all that he had found.

Blow up buildings on his watch? Over his dead blue body.

With his illusions fully woven and ready to be forced into the mind of the unwilling gunmen, Sage discovered the strangest thing. When he tried to link up with the minds of the perpetrators, he couldn't make a connection. His brow knitted in confusion. Were these men HRDs? Frowning, Sage clipped his focus back to his belt and took a moment to kneel and meditate, recharging the energy that he had poured into the magic, filling up his dark-sided well. Blaster fire and explosions rang out all around the facility as more guards were gunned down. He could feel a dark shimmering in the Force as some of his own men were taken down with gunfire. Anger bubbled up inside of him like a primordial sea, white-hot rage that he would use to fuel his subsequent attacks.

Now that every cell in his body was brimming with the dark side, Sage sprinted out of the adjacent building and moving in almost a blur, entered the facility and fought along side his troops. He viciously whirled through the remaining groups of clones, his lightsaber flying out with short, sharp strikes indicative of the Ataru form. Those that Sage did not bisect in two, were hit with a telekinectic pulse so violent that it shook the ground. If the men were not able to run from its path, they would be sent flying, sailing bone-breaking distances away from their fellow clones. Between the Sith Knight and his his remaining squad of troops, the attackers who were left stood little chance of survival.

Parker clones were cut in two and sent flying various distances across the facility walls by the sheer amount of kinetic force that was being sent out. It wasn't the force that was pushing them, that simply washed over them like it didn't exist, rather it was the sheer amount of wind that was pulsing through the air that the sith had conjured up with his strike. As the Parker clones flew they laughed manically and wildly, some hitting the ground and breaking their necks dying instantly, others landed hard crippled and laughing still as their mangled and crippled bodies lay on the ground.

A good six Parker clones remained and they watched as their fellow clones were thrown around the place and cut down by the sith. The men simply laughed at the man and his troopers, throwing down their weapons the men's collective laughter died down as the sith troopers began to surround them. The clones started to give a round of genuine applause and look to each other as if impressed by the sith.

"Bravo, bravo, that was beautiful!" one of the Parker clones said as the applause died down.

"I mean look at that guy, clean in half." the lead clone said as he pointed to a half living Parker clones crawling for life.

The man pulled out a blaster pistol shot the clone of himself then laughed tossing it to the ground. The others cackled a bit and it was clear the sith was dealing with a lunatic.

"But I'm sorry, this show was great but I'm afraid you've lost." and with that, it began.

There was a sound. A very loud humming sound of a speeder, but it wasn't just the ones of those flying in the lanes of traffic above. It was of dozens maybe more all converging. And soon the voice of Parker came over the radio.

"Special delivery!!" there was a loud cackle that echoed and soon a full sized speeder slammed Into the facility and exploded sending chunks of shrapnel and heated metal in various places.

Dozens of the rental speeders that had sent the slight spike of sales started to come out of the flows of traffic and slam into the facility each loaded with explosives and other nasty goodies. Another two hit with their drivers sacrificing themselves to ram Into the facility and explode.

Her heart fluttered slightly as the building shook.

Hair whipping to the side Rose looked towards the source of the rumbling, quickly catching herself as the building shook again and then again. Suddenly she swore as she realized what was going on. Someone was attacking the facility, for some reason. The read head cursed again, grasping onto the wall as the floors shook and she nearly toppled over.

All Titan Industries buildings were built to withstand quite a bit of punishment, after the invasion of Coruscant it had been top priority to reinforce most military and Corporate structures with durasteel beams and shielding, though that only went so far. Forty Six speeders laden with explosives would likely do the trick, though that wasn't to say that all of them would hit.

Of course Rose knew neither of these things.

She had been allowed into the building for one simple reason, the fact that her now 'dead' father had once owned it. The Office she stood in now had been his, or rather it had been reserved for him as a back office had he ever needed a place to conduct work with no one finding out where he was. Rose had spent the last ten minutes rifling through it.

There was paper everywhere, datapads scattered across the desk, and the sofa in the corner of the room had been cut apart in hopes of finding secret pockets. Of course, that hardly seemed relevant when the ceiling was coming down.

Rose let out another swear, heading towards the door without hesitation.

Coruscant was known to be the Jewel of the Galaxy, but that was less relevant for this discussion, what was relevant was the fact that it was the capital and throneworld of the One Sith.

A nation of battle-forged and hardy Sith Lords that really did not enjoy it when people walked all over their toys and started to trample them, it was no different when terrorists decided to assault one of the Titan Facilities that currently existed on Coruscant.

Bad target though.

Most points of interests were heavily secured, but Titan? Ah, now that was a point of contention that few people really wanted to mess around with, not after Copero, not after what Titan was trying to do in breaking away from the One Sith.

Some people loved their money more than their lives, which was okay.

Most Titan Industry Facilities were gone these days, military, terraforming, the shipyards, all of those things were either destroyed or claimed by the Sith Warmachine. Which left two specific locations on the planet which were currently in the progress of being taken by the One Sith.

The desalination facility and the old headquarters of the company.

There were about six hundred Royal Guards currently busy with those reclamation efforts, most of which were located at the headquarters to seize them. (Sadly the Sith were not aware that the Titan HQ was merely a showpiece and didn’t have anything of worth.)

The rest had been steadily surrounding the desalination facility, when the first explosion rocketed.

The feth was that.” Carach asked his Lieutenant.

Sir, it seems that a speeder loaded with explosives tried to ram itself into the facility and went… well… boom, sir.”

Right. Damage report?

Minor damage, sir.”

Another boom rocketed in the distance.

What was that?

The Lieutenant took his time to filter through the feed in his ear, before looking back at his sire and sighed softly.

It seems that other speeders were on the way to do the same thing as the first, they had an… accident though, crashed against some other traffic.” Other louder mega booms rocketed in the distance. “I am pretty sure that that were all the other speeders crashing into a chaos of fire and warped durasteel, sir.”

Riiiiiight.”

Carach shook his head and decided to order the assault, they had about a hundred fifty Royal Guards who would help Bane’s forces in the facility and break this thing up, before more civilian casualties would give him a migraine. Reinforcements would arrive in due course.
