Name: Salacia-Firemane Outpost and Agricultural Center

Intent: To create a controlled farming facility for Salacia Consolidated while continuing their partnership with Firemane Industries. A Firemane presence guards the farm and uses some buildings as an outpost in Sanctum space.

Classification: Farm/Outpost

Location: Tabaqui, a valley in a series of mountain ranges near the middle of the planet on the largest continent.

Affiliation: Salacia Consolidated and Firemane Industries.

Description:

Part farm, part outpost, the building serves as a important cog in the functions of both companies in the Levantine Sanctum. Towering glass biodomes/oversized greenhouses contain rows upon rows of various medicinal plants, some grown in the rich soil while others are grown hydroponically. Most plants are non-native to Tabaqui and require the biodome for protection and optimal growing conditions, such as proper humidity and minerals.

Outside of the farming structure contains the main buildings. Inside the building there is a facility space for drying or perserving the plants grown in the biodomes. Once properly packaged the plants leave for Etti IV, where a research and production facility turns the raw material into the final products.

Off the main work area of the farm/outpost lies the facilities for the Salacia and Firemane employees. A dormitory houses 75 Salacia workers comfortably and up to 50 Firemane soldiers if needed. A full service mess hall provides all provisions for employees of both industries, with a large pantry that can hold 9 months of consumables. Employees also have access to recreational facilities that include HoloNet screenings, holographic games and a half grav-ball court.

The main communication center also serves as a hub for security. Cameras watch both the interior and exterior of the farm/outpost, alert for attacks by natives and wandering animals. All take offs and landings are coordinated by Firemane Industries as opening the facility to the outside proves a potential security risk.

Storage can also be found in the large white, round detached center. Firemane holds extra weapon stores and provisions of all types(medical, potable water, fuel, power generator, speeders, etc) are kept contained in the 'outbuilding'. While considered an 'outbuilding' all sectors of the farm/outpost are reached via interior corridors. Often times Salacia employees will only step outside twice : arriving and leaving Tabaqui. Firemane does patrol the exterior on a daily basis while looking for threats.

History: Having bought a starchart on Etti IV, Judah went on a journey for a suitable world for his farm. Having some success on Raevana with his scientists finding medicinal plants, Judah decided to edge part of Salacia into that business as well. While many of the plants grow well in the tropical and sub-tropical environment of Raevana, the planet is extremely deadly. Both Firemane and Salacia employees were injured on the first several visits to the planet. Not wanting to risk further insurance liability sending employees, a second plan was formed.

Using the long-lost navicomputer information, both companies set out on a journey for a suitable planet. Landing on Tabaqui, rich soil was found, along with an plethora of land. The planet suffered greatly in the Gulag Plague and thus industry was wide open, providing cheap suitable land and a prime location close to the refining facility on Etti IV. Outside contractors were brought in to help Salacia construct the biodome. With the farm underneath the biodome, environmental conditions can be controlled as well as prevent sabotage from bands of unsavory locals.

[member="Judah Dashiell"] This is excellent. Its nothing major and you have development threads. Just one thing, can you add just a tiny bit to the History? Maybe a paragraph or two stating how and why the facility was made.

Thanks :)
