Wanting neutral ground, the auction was set up in the Corporate Sector, using a local auction house to handle the transaction. Business sentients from all over would be bidding on Sedna Mining Corporation, a subsidiary of Salacia Consolidated. Salacia had grown and no longer needed its mining operations any longer. In fact, their eyes would be set on something a bit higher and different. For now though, it was time to cut the fat.

A middle aged Selkath auctioneer signaled the start of the auction.

"Starting bid for Sedna Mining Corp. and its associated products will be 2.5 million credits."

The first bid to come in would be from Emeritus Industries through their representative at the auction. Their base bid would be the starting bid of 2.5 million credits.

Another bid would enter the fray, sending the price up to 5 million credits and the offer of a contract with L&L Robotics. It was sent anonymously by Darth Arcanix, but if anyone enquired they would find it led back to her Eriana Glasin alias.

Mrrew had been sitting quietly in the room, watching as the auction went on. He was interested; he knew the possible profit in mining, but he was waiting to bid to see who appeared. If anyone like Danger appeared to bid, he knew his chances of winning were gone. The Togorian revied the standing bids on his datapad for a moment, before tapping in his own.

5.5 million credits and a contract with the Beast Hunter's Guild.

Everyone else was offering contracts with their bids- so the best way to match them was to offer one of his own. Though he realized that a contract with the Guild was worth less then contracts from companies such as Neuro-Sav, he though the credits might make the difference.

Taeli frowned ever so slightly when [member="Mrrew"] made his opening bid. He was careful, but that was fine by her. She enjoyed the challenge it might bring, but she was constantly on the look out for a shock of red hair that could swoop in at anytime. She mostc ertainly did not want to lose this company to Danger, but there would be little choice if the legendary trade woman arrived.

7 million credits with the promise of an extended contract and partnership with L&L Robotics

1.5 million higher and a better contract offer, she wondered how Mrrew would react. She really wanted this mining company though as it would help her funnel more supplies into Krayt for developing more starships.

Hm. This was getting expensive. It certainly seemed that [member="Darth Arcanix"] was ready to go into a bidding war if need be. The credits he could match, and beat, of course. People paid ridiculous sums of money for their new pet Exogorth of Leviathon. The ocntract and partnership deal, however, was an issue. Sure he could offer as many contracts as one might like with the Beast Hunter's Guild, but their operations were limited; capturing and training animals. However, the materials from certain animals, energy resistant skin or powerful toxins, tended to be highly coveted...

Eight million credits and a supply contract for any non-sentient or semi-sentient creature (bar Exogorths and the like) in the galaxy, and it's parts.

He was hoping that the selling company was the type interested in things such as Terentatek hide and Kouhoun poison. If not, it seemed he was going to lose the auction.

The sleepy-looking auctioneer glanced between the warring bidders. If this guy had a look of excitement he sure wasn't showing it.

"Nine million credits, all previously offered contracts, and exclusive rights to an....exoskeleton. Previous bid was eight million and a supply contract. Do you raise?"

It was the prerogative of the newly-rich and the stupid to throw away wealth at every other shiny thing they saw passing by. Jared Ovmar had been in the game for a long time, and yet everytime he was amazed by the sheer amount of nopeism people generated the moment something interesting appeared on an auction.

He pondered this for a while, truth to be told he could match every single bid the feline and his rival placed. That being said, L&L Robotics… suddenly the Sith Lord found himself very interested. Very interested.

12 million credits.’ another ponder, some shrugging and then finally. ‘The previous mentioned contract with Neuro-Saav Corporation, a profitable discount on the supply of various recycled resources, hmm… and inclusion in a special profitable project currently being planned.’

The last time Neuro-Saav Corporation had worked on a project it had turned a huge portion of Raxus Prime into a recycling continent, all inclusive with a HALCYON system to cheaply transport recycled goods to factories on other worlds and beneficiaries.

What would such a company have in store next?

The Togorian could have contnued the bidding war, prehaps even still win, but what he couldn't do was compete with [member="Jared Ovmar"]. Sure he ocud try, but what would be a fortune to Mrrew would probably be pocket change to Ovmar. The Togorian didn't try the impossible. Let [member="Darth Arcanix"] spend an arm and a leg if she wanted to.

The middle-aged auctioneer looked thoroughly displeased with the unorthodox in his eyes bid.

"We now have twelve million credits,a contract amongst other incidentals. Let it be noted one Mr.Mrrew is now out of the auction. Best of luck to the other bidders."

The Emeritus representative raised the bid on behalf of the company to 15 million, in concert with a ten percent discount on all Emeritus products - as well as a contract for a custom-made piece of technology, of the buyer's choosing. It was an excellent deal - which was what mattered.

Ovmar sighed and updated his bids accordingly. 17 million credits, the previously mentioned contracts and a 5% stake in Eridium Industrial.
