A small thing that was created by Sakura, deigned a small flight of fancy as the use of nanites in medical science can provide any number of advances. The parent company Sasori acquiring Mordulla Manufacturing which created its own medical nanites. Using the companies designed Sakura developed translator nanites that would make communicating across the galaxy without a protocol droid possible. FOr use by jedi this would mean better methods to communicate and settle disputes or avoid cultural problems. For soldiers and business men or women much the same in terms of communicating across all fo the species in the galaxy.
The early work based some of the ideas off of the NTM-01 nanites but also by using the methods of a protocol droid for communicating with millions of species. The small unit was made for them and it was made even smaller for the machines spreading out the programming and information to all fo the nanites as they would find a place within the brean and share the information. Damage from it a problem with ion weapons or emps'g going off once it got through the bodies degree of shielding... not much but something is better possibly then nothing at all. The shelf life of the nanites meaning eventually they would break down and need to be reapplied if one wanted to keep using them.
Sakura and Sasori have worked for years to refine the process and with new techniques the nanites were replaced with a biot jelly that can be injected and serves much the same purpose allowing it to go into the brain and add to the processes and memory with languages, etiquite and many more things about billions of cultures around the galaxy. Translating languages like ancient sith and gree and even the strange language on the statues in celestial temples is much easier it not entirely accurate as it is still learning and processing the information. The second generation implants are effectively much more refined and allow for greater study and skill with some across the galaxy.

- Living Protocol Droid: With the Sakura biogel very little in the means of understanding or communicating across the galaxy is out of your reach. Like a protocol droid you are able to understand, speak, translate, write/type languages as well as the customs of a number of species.
- Neural Shock: A very big danger, with the biogel being mostly unshielded from ion and emp weapons. If they are struck by a high electrical charge while within the body they can fry the brain they are feeding and providing information to.
- Blindness: The main method to quickly get the biogel to the brain is injection via the ocular socket. Going in just under the eye around the tear duct provides plenty of space and danger as movement can cause damage to the eye or nerves rendering the user blind.
- Intercranial Pressure: The biot jelly effectively adds to and becomes brain matter taking up space and while protecting from impact on the brain making concussions harder it also presses more and creates a pressure that can be dangerous over time. The pressure can be handled periodically every couple of years with a simple bore hole procedure preformed by a basic medical droid to release the pressure.
