Name: Saeva Incorporated Mercenary Army
Intent: To Document the Saeva Incorporated Mercenary Army
Affiliation: Saeva Incorporated
Availability: Common
Quality: B
Type: General Army
Strength: 60,000
Description:
Saeva Incorporated as an entity has now existed for nearly two years. Within that time Saeva has grown in size, stature, and of course capability.

Saeva Incorporated began as a small mercenary outfit of only three hundred and fifty former Sons of Titan, specially trained soldiers and combatants who had been specifically conditioned to serve as the primary military arm of the now defunct Titan Industries. Upon the supposed death of Alric Kuhn, CEO and head of Titan Industries at the time the Sons became incredibly disillusioned with Titan Industries itself, and under a specifically given command by their leader, Kiran Vess, most of the Sons underwent mental conditioning in order to break the mental bond that tied the Sons to Titan Industries. Of the one thousands Sons of Titan, only a fraction made it to their freedom.

A piece of this fraction eventually joined Kiran Vess in the Founding of Saeva Incorporated.

These soldiers formed a tight-knit, well trained, and incredibly niche Private Military Corporation. Over time, each of the soldiers began to recruit more and more people to the company, eventually bringing in over a thousand soldiers. As Saeva Incorporated began to expand, seeing more use throughout the galaxy and becoming reputable as one of the more vicious Private Military Companies it's military capabilities began to expand almost exponentially. Partnering with several Corporate Entities Saeva began to produce armors, vehicles, and weapons specifically designed for it's elite soldiers. As more equipment came pouring in and more jobs were had Saeva expanded even further.

Eventually this expansion drove Saeva to hold a recruitment drive, and eventually all of the Original Sons of Titan, save for Kiran Vess, ceased field operations and instead became recruiters for Saeva Incorporated. These three hundred and fifty elite troopers became scouts for the ever expanding Saeva Mercenary Army. The former Sons would visit different military outfits, watching, observing, then approaching soldiers they thought worthy of joining Saeva Incorporated. This selection process ensured that each member of Saeva Incorporated was not only already well trained, but experienced in the arts of war and combat.

When a mercenary joined Saeva Incorporated they received a healthy pay stipend as well as access to additional equipment and the freedom to do as they wished until called upon. This system of freedom allowed Saeva Incorporated to maintain a large force without ever allowing their military assets to become stagnant.

Eventually this growth and expansion reached an apex, with the size of Saeva's Mercenary Army reaching nearly sixty thousand in strength. These sixty thousand troopers all had varying functions and specializations, with many key assets of Saeva Incorporated falling into units within the army itself. This sectioning of it's military force allows Saeva to be a bit more flexible than other Private Military Company, giving it the option of splitting it's jobs depending on what is currently demanded of the corporation.

Of course Saeva's military has grown so expansive that nearly all forms of combat operations are supported by the army itself, including the utilization of fleets as well as special and covert operations.

Strength: 60,000
This is meant to represent strength per serial. You can say there are 60,000 total, but if you were to group them up into a company, how many would there be?

Another thing I need to bring up is that starships are not allowed to be subbed within the NPC unit template, as stated in the red text at the top. This -- of course -- doesn't mean you can't transport them in starships, only that I cannot approve it unless you remove the starships. Vehicles are fine, though. As are aircraft.

Otherwise everything else looks good!

They're not divided into companies nor do they have a greater division of force than the 60,000. They are split into a groups as needed, hence why I'm subbing the entire army and not just small sub-sects of it.

I'm also listing the ships as equipment, not as fleeting elements as I believe is the issue with the rule. The Ships essentially are vehicles.

The template is written in such a way where availability is meant to convey how many 'units' there are of these. Whereas strength reflects the amount per unit. So as you have it now it suggests you have a 'mass-production' of batches. It's pretty parallel to the factory's production/squadron count setup. As I said, there's nothing stopping you from having 60,000 of them, but the changes need to be made to prevent confusion.

Please note that fleeting/space ships are not covered by this template and cannot be submitted.
There's a reason it specifies spaceships separately from fleeting. As the way it is, I cannot approve it for that reason -- equipment or otherwise.

That makes little to no sense in two regards

1. You're assuming that this army is composed of separate units, which I just told you its not. The army itself is a singular "unit". If you look at previous submissions ive made the "Strength" category has always been the set amount of soldiers within the unit itself, for instance the Sons of Titan which are linked in this sub are set to 1500. This is not a regular army consisting of Units, Divisions, etc. It is a mercenary group who get deployed as needed in the amount thats needed. There are no additional units within the army itself.

2. I feel like that rule is more than clearly set to submitting specific units composed of starships and fleeting elements, which as I've stated before is not at all what I'm trying to do. Much like in a sub that includes vehicles the ships in this sub are just an example of equipment utililzed by this Unit. I am not attempting to sub an NPC fleet or ship.

I don't make the rules, I judge within the confines of them, and the rules aren't going to suit everyone's needs. Which is why the Codex is optional. Of course; you could always propose a change and see what people think.

I'm not questioning the rules themselves, I am simply stating they do not apply to this particular situation.

The Unit I am subbing is the Saeva Incorporated Army, it is 60,000 men and women strong. The ships listed in this subs are not part of a fleeting element or a submission to use these vessels as part of an individualized unit themselves, they are vehicles, as you stated is okay.

Do you have any dev threads with this unit being used?

B quality units are given out without them, but for a host this size I'd like to see some previous work listed.

Although there is 60,000 total, how are they divided into smaller units? The NPC unit template is primarily for people to use in invasions and skirmishes, so people need to know what size they'll be facing.
Some platoon/company organisation for going into combat would be welcome here.

I have read your above comments, and that's fine...but how are they sent into battle?

Saeva has been featured in the following, and many more threads

The army isn't organized in any particular fashion. This isn't really an army, per say, more of an employee list. The Army itself is split into sections/units/etc on an as needed basis depending on the job being conducted. That means that Saeva might send one single Soldier or it might send twenty or it might send ten thousand. These further details would be spelled out during the threads this is utilized in.

Add those links into the last section on the sub please.

I understand what you're going for here, but the purpose of these subs is to eliminate confusion by having clear bounds of how these units act.

With that in mind, I'm not prepared to have a block of 60,000 troopers with no idea of how they're deployed. Please specify for me something. If this is an employee list it doesn't need a unit submission. If you intend to use these people in an invasion or skirmish we need to know the parameters. All units have some form of organisation, so whether they send 1 or 500 they have to have some form of command structure.

If that's the case then there's 0 point in actually subbing this and i'd rather just post it as a blog link instead that people can look at.

I have no intention of splitting this army like that because that's not the concept of the corporation. Saeva is a private military company, yes, but it's entirely unique in it's structure and organization. Yes it has a command structure, but said structure would require about 3-4 more unit subs to actually work out which I would much rather do in the actual posts of invasions, explaining each time what is happening with the army because it's adaptive to the situation rather than a solid structure.

As you stated the Codex is optional and I'd rather this be denied so I can retain flexibility in my RP than to have it be put through a cookie cutter.

As you wish.

NPC Unit submissions are here for clarity and to describe military forces of varying types. It is not here for companies.

So because we are hitting a wall here I will deny this since it doesn't really belong here. A blog post or addition to your character bio can bridge the gap.
