Ryloth Rising [CIS]

Janeth wasn't sticking around to complicate things beyond the money's worth. When Kentarch reported that he knew she was following, she felt the gambit had been up. Her curiosity stated, she slithered back along the beam and crept away in the opposite direction, keeping a cautious movement should he attempt to assault her regardless.

She maintained a close hand to her blaster as well... An old habit picked up from too many situations which went wrong fast. She turned her attention to area of the temple that the Sith Lord and his follower left from, and waited for him to depart fully.

Her intentions to move forward required a lack of intervention.

Aldabert nodded along, making a contemplative clicking sound. He had heard of the Keepers of the Fountain and found them absolutely fascinating, not that he ever got the chance to meet them. Too busy making a living. Maybe when he got to retiring, he could visit. One of the Shock Troopers was less enthused. Karking tribals, someone muttered over the secure lines. Everyone was entitled to an opinion, as long as it didn't get brought up in the middle of things. Then the only thing they were entitled to was an ass-kcking. Usually from Rahgot, and not a lot of people came out of those in working condition.

"I haff no doubt of zeir prowess," Aldabert conceded, "Though, ze Assak-Twai are nacht ze best fighters. Lithe though zey may be, zey are far from-"

Suddenly the elevator dinged and the first of the Houks rudely shuffled out. The first one bumped into Aldabert on the way, staggering the Gand and making him mutter something exceedingly foreign and quadrosyllabic under his breath. Gandish words were so colorful. Still, their rudeness was best overlooked. It was all fine by Aldabert anyway. Biggest boys got to leave the elevator first. Give the rest of the class some breathing room. Fortunately, their stop was not far from the elevator plaza. This one was rather sparse compared to the one they just left. Not everyone was looking forward to the entertainment district when a revolution was afoot.

Aldabert rubbed his chin, his men disembarking the elevator - all apparently relieved it had not been overburdened and sent crashing down to the lowest levels. "Do you have zee layout of zee cantina?" Aldabert asked, becoming slightly more pressing as they drew closer. What, they were just going to barge in through the front? "Or shall ve just be following your lead, ja?"

"Wing four, this is leader. Prepare to break for the planet. Group two will stay in the upper atmosphere and break by squadrons. You got those ships that make it past us in group one. Remember what the Pirate King has decreed. Take out the engines, keep them planet bound. Some of these freighters have slaves. We aren't here to kill them. But individual star fighters ... Take them out with extreme prejudice. Group one, on me."

Having issued the orders he pulled back on the stick orienting the E-25 directly for the planet. Behind his Starfighter six squadrons spread out and followed. Reaching over with his left hand he gripped the throttle and shoved it forward putting maximum acceleration into the twin engines. As the inertial dampener strained from the pressure Muad feel his body pushed back into the seat as the starfighters hurtled toward the planet.

"Full power to forward shields."

Toggling the switch on the control board he strengthened the forward shields as they plunged into the atmosphere. Seventy two E-25s descended from the heavens above the planet Ryloth and as they pierced the clouds group two broke of to monitor from above.

Rapidly closing with the planet's surface Muad toggled the shields, evening out their power distribution. Dropping the throttle to zero he allowed the speed of his descent to drop the E-25 along it's path. A glance at his radar revealed group one was matching his tactics.

Grinning he fired the E-25's thrusters until the nose of the starfighters was pointing back into the heavens. Then he opened up the throttle and blasted the twin engines at full power slowing his descent. The three squadrons hovered thirty meters above the planet's surface.

"Squadron three, black squadron, activate thrusters and drop down. You are our artillery from below. Coordinate with our people on the ground and offer support. Squadron two, blue squadron, terrain patterns. I want you to keep any ships grounded, close any ports or air strips that are attempting to launch anything. Squadron three, crazy squadron, we will hit those ships already launched. How about we not give group two above is anything to do. Let's go."

With that he pushed the throttle of the E-25 and crazy squadron followed. Pushing the stick to the left he put the starfighters into a roll and scanned the radar seeing several large blips showing several ships had launched already.

"Crazies, break up by flights. Flight one on me."

Punching the throttle of the ship forward Muad and the three other E-25s headed toward the largest blip representing several freighters and starfighters. As the flew through the air he grinned in anticipation.

While Tmoxin would likely hear an earful of Darth Kentarch’s complaints later, Seela was the perfect companion - quiet, dutiful and willing to kill for her new master. Of course, she needed to analyze his words about freedom later. As intriguing as they’d been, conjuring visions inside her lekku adorned skull of omniscient power, she barely understood even the basic principles of Sith philosophy.

For now freedom came at the price of a slaver’s slit throat and it seemed a paltry fee when all was said and done.

"Keep moving, pick up the pace."

“Yes,” she said in a soft voice, still wiping the iron-scented blood from her fingers onto her harem pants. Once they reached the outside, the jungle air filled Seela’s nostrils with a fresh verdant odor, reminding the Twi’lek of just how long she’d been held inside the Academy. As they lingered on the edges of a clearing where Kentarch’s ship would land, Seela asked, “Where are we going?”

Layout? The Gand seemed a little disconcerted, but Brutus couldn't really tell. Gand body language was not his forte, nor was it most people's. Unblinking eyes, respirators that covered their mouths, and no antennae. Not exactly beginner level stuff.

"Uh, ok. Laghin, Maghin, go around the back. Raghin, the door. pleashe."

He wasn't sure how they did things at the Syndicate, but on Nar Shaddaa they preferred to do things quick and dirty. A giant Houk-sized foot slammed into the door and blew it off its hinges. The door careened back into the room with a clatter, quickly followed by the stomping feet of Helix and Bareesh goons. The few people at the bar went stiff, while the drum circle - a literal circle of drummers on the floor - stayed seated. Wide eyes all around. Brutus wondered which one could be the singer.

A svelte tw'ilek stood in the middle of the drum circle, microphone in hand.

Oh.

Well, that was easy.

Brutus pointed. "Take him."

On cue, everyone in the bar started to run in half-a-dozen different directions.

There was that split second of silence where time stood still after the first Houk kicked the door down. Everyone stared. The Gand stared back. The Shock Troopers stared back. What kind of person had a drum circle in the middle of a planetary upheaval? The silence ended as if often did. There was then the sound of the other Houks bursting in through the back. Panic set in. The screaming started, followed by the stampeding. Pandemonium. This was not going to work, not at all. Not even a little bit.

Mein gott.

"Corporal, end zis at once."

"Roight," said Corporal Zeloni, flicking the setting on his rifle to full automatic.

The other Shock Troopers followed after him, shoving past the Houks if necessary. The Duros Corporal emptied half a clip of blaster bolts into the ceiling. The running stopped as soon as the shooting started, people diving for cover and staying there as the Troopers moved to secure the room. Three of them fanned out while the rest kept watch, dragging people out from under tables and herding them towards one end of the room. "Up against zee vall! All of you!" Yelled Aldabert, waving around his blaster pistol rather menacingly. "Schnell! Schnell!"

The singer was dragged over to Aldabert, who retrieved a black sack from off his person and pulled it snuggly over the singer's head. The Shock Trooper then shoved him towards Brutus. "Is zis zee only one you vant?"

Brutus watched the efficiency of the Gand associate with envy. Aldabert clearly knew what he was doing. And his troops respected his capabilities, even if they didn't exactly relish his story-telling. Brutus hoped to one day have that kind of authority.

The thugs blackbagged the singer and stormed off to the next location, then the next. A few times people tried to get 'em to stop. The oh nos and "not mes" but that usually got silenced pretty quick. The worst was when there were still guards from the slavers. Those got two bolts to the chest, one to the head.

The trail of bodies in their wake was small, but in the end they managed to cram three shuttles full of valuable slaves who would sell for a prize on the markets of Sleheyron or Bootana Shagplan.

They flew to a plantation owned by an Abyssin named Polyphemus, hid out long enough for the blockade to disperse, then headed home to Hutt space.
