HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ryan's story begins as he came fresh out of University. He had a good paying job, a great wife, and a stellar career with a company developing robotics and other basic techs for droid manufacturing and ship building. He was set as a rising star from the start, smart, capable, and extremely driven. He was picked to become if not the chief engineer of the company he was at, then something greater. And then it all came crashing down. The company sold a single bad batch of circuitry because someone in the production lines thought they could scrape more money out of the product by cutting costs. The company's rep, was ruined, jobs lost, and Ryan where he once had a stellar career innovating the latest and greatest of technologies for the common man, now had to resort to black market jobs for pirates, slavers and other scum of the galaxy as no one would hire him anymore. His wife was gone, his aspirations sunk, and his career was over. That was until one fateful encounter when The Dire Wolves lead a local security force assault on a pirate station he was currently working on, making some small time gadgets for the pirates to force open sealed doors. Sergei personally lead the charge to clear the station, and after gunning down his guards, he had to stifle his amusement at Ryan's poor attempt to defend himself. Sergei simply disarmed the man, placed him in cuffs, and began clearing the room, and noticed that while all of the tech in the room was actually to galactic standard level of technologies, the tools he was given we're primitive at best, or self made. When Sergei returned to him, Ryan was crying as he was certain his life was either going to abruptly end, or the cycle would continue, and he didn't know what was worse. So when Sergei uncuffed him, and started escorting him off the station, the man started to believe that he was going to die. When they approached the airlock however, Ryan saw it was connected to a ship, and was guarded by local authorities. Sergei brought him aboard and explained the situation to him. Ryan was an accessory, however unwilling, to the crimes these pirates committed. He had two choices. He could either join the rest of the pirates that survived the assault, in jail at best, public execution at worst, or, Sergei would negotiate his release and he could work for him. He'd be given a fair wage, a place to sleep, and food to eat, though it wasn't very palatable at the time. Ryan was utterly shocked to put it mildly. He would work as a part of the crew, helping to maintain the ship and more delicate parts of their gear. He'd be given proper tools and be treated like a proper human being again. Ryan leaped at the chance to once more prove himself, to restore his reputation, and do something positive with himself for a change. He worked with a zeal that made Sergei smile every time he saw him, and his positive attitude was contagious around the company. He even began trying to come up with ways to better the food on the ship so the rations would actually taste like food. And he promised to himself that he would never again fall into a rut like before, and emulate the motto of TDW. No challenge too great, nothing is impossible. I Am Worthy. And I will prove it.

This is missing a link.

Hyperlink Sergei.

  • Permissions: None yet
To avoid confusion, just put N/A since the submission is not using anything you'd need permission for.

  • Force Sensitivity: [ Choose from: Non-Force User
Remove the '[Choose from:' part, as that's a holdover from the template.
