Jedi Knight Aiden Porte waited near the main entrance of Commando Citadel, a small duffel slung over his shoulder. The Naboo sun hung high and bright, washing the stone and durasteel in warm light as midday approached.

He had offered to train with Lily in light of her new role as Battle Master. The position suited her, and he intended to offer his congratulations in person. It would also be a good opportunity to better acquaint himself with the Jedi present. Shared training often revealed more than formal introductions ever could.

Beyond the gates, Republic Commandos moved through drills with sharp precision. The obstacle course stretched across the grounds in a maze of walls, cables, and elevated platforms. It promised a proper challenge.

Aiden allowed himself a small smile. Training here would be demanding, but that was the point. A test of body and focus, and perhaps a bit of good fun as well.

Lily stretched his limbs and thought about the fact she was taking part in an obstacle course with a fellow Jedi Knight. It was something that could be a lot of fun with the right partner, so Lily was curious to see how Aiden would be in this challenge. The last time she had done something like this was when she was a Padawan. Seeing how much she had progressed and where improvements could be made. She was a fresh Battlemaster for the Jedi Order now and Lily knew that she needed to be getting on top of what that meant. What they needed her to be doing in order to ensure everyone was ready for what was to come.

Arriving at the location, Lily noticed the people setting up the course and waved to them, thankful that something could be made in quick time and that it could be something fun. Looking over to Aiden, "hey! Pleasure to meet and get to spend some time working together. We could make this interesting, if you wanted?" Lily gave a slight mischievous grin as she then nodded over to the finish line.

"Last one to the finish line buys the other one a dinner?" Lily offered, she figured it was a good way to push each other to give it their all in the course but it was also a way that they could then spend time after the course to talk, get to know one another a bit more. Lily wanted to build more friends and connections within the Order. While she had a solid tight knit friendship group. She was needing to expand, Lily needed to start being more interactive with others since she was becoming more of a leader.

Someone that others looked up to and wanted to be around. So, she hoped to work on that, starting with Aiden.

Aiden's expression softened with easy warmth as he met Lily's grin. There was something refreshing about her spirit, competitive yet open, eager to grow into the mantle she had accepted.

"You have a deal, Lily," he said, voice steady and good humored. "We run it clean. No Force interference. Just skill, stamina, and whatever pride we are willing to wager."

A faint chuckle escaped him as he added, "Perhaps we make it two out of three. A proper measure, in case one of us trips over our own confidence."

His eyes held a quiet spark of challenge, though there was no sharp edge to it. Only camaraderie.

"And truly," he continued, his tone shifting to something more sincere, "Congratulations on your appointment as Battlemaster. It is well deserved. The Order will benefit from your strength."

He stepped toward the starting line, shoulders relaxed but posture ready.

"Shall we?"

Making sure that her body was fully warmed up and Lily was ready to go, she looked over to Aiden. "Concerned about losing the first one already? That's fine, more chances for me to do a victory dance." Lily grinned widely, she was never one who thought she was going to be a deeply competitive person. Ever since she did a gauntlet run with other Padawans, something clicked in Lily's mind and she realised how competitive she liked to be.

"Thanks. It was something I had set my mind to back when I was a Padawan and heard about the title. Battlemaster was a role that I felt was something that I was built to be as a Jedi and as a person. I fight with everything that I have." Lily breathed in deeply and nodded her head to Aiden. "The Order strengthens every day with all of us growing and stepping up to face the evils that exist in the galaxy."

Feeling the muscles tense and press against the ground, Lily smirked, "let's see how you do, Aiden." Winking to him as she pushed off the ground and launched herself forward. Running with everything that she had.
