Royal Blood Doesnt Mean Power

Darkness. That was all Zero Four could see, for covering his eyes was a thick scarf wrapped several times to ensure blindness. The Czar moved slowly in a circle, fists held in front of himself in a defensive position. His ears perked to any sound around himself...

Launching into action at the barest of shuffles, Four dove into a roll that ended with the young man wrapping his legs around the nearby HK Droid's lower legs, twisting and thusly dropping the machine to the ground. With fluid moves he aimed a solid blow to the throat and heard the sparks as they were being emitted from the now destroyed materials.

Rolling away from the inactive body, Four perked his ears again as he awaited the last Assassin droid to make an error.

This was a simple training exercise for the young man, though many would say that pitting ones self against 5 HK Droid's with top of the line gear while blind was foolish in itself. But he had gotten bored, waiting for a master to come and train him.

Staying low to the ground the Czar moved slowly towards his targets estimated position. If a Master didn't show soon he would wind up wasting a humongous portion of Droids for fun.

Clutching an envelope in her hand she walked down the long hallways of the training facility. There was word of a new student, who was something special, something a little different. Spencer was known as a mental specialist it as curious that she was sent to handle this one instead of someone like Ashin or another one of the more combat specialized Masters. Walking into the elevator, she stood there with her arm resting against her midsection while her other hand tapped the paper against her chin as she pondered how to approach this student. In most cases, the woman allowed the Force to guide her instead of orders.

Still, she had a good feeling about this. The elevator stopped at the level of the droid combat floor. Pressing her ear, she answered the annoying beep that was frantically trying to get her attention.

“Ma’am are you sure you want to be down there – could be dangerous”

“I’m fine, a good test for the boy.”

Spencer removed the ear piece and looked up towards the observation room, the force held the ear piece suspended in her palm and in a quick shift in the force, it was in pieces falling to the ground. The last assassin droid moved, but Spencer quickly raised a hand and a force push slammed against the droid causing it to flip into the air and crash into the nearest wall. The click of her heels echoed as she moved closer to the boy.

“So you’re Zero Four, anything else you want to be called? You will call me Master. Of course if you can hold your own against me.”

Dark lips, curled into a smile as she ran a hand through her blond hair, moving it from her face. The former Jedi was something a little darker now a days, but still under it all she was still the same girl hungry for knowledge and to share it with someone.

Varanin turned and bowed, his left hand clenched in a fist against the open palm of his right, "Zero Four is perfectly fine. Let us see if I may hold my own." He said, dropping backwards slightly so his strong leg led the crouch, both hands held shoulder width apart and slightly ahead of his chest. Lastly, he left his hands clenched loosely to resemble the claws of the Blackstalkers, after which the stance was named.

He would utilize his senses to battle though, attempting to train his telepathy to act as a second form of sight. Taking in a deep, slow breath, Varanin cleansed his mind of all thoughts save those of battle. He would need it to battle the power he sensed before him. Admittedly, he believed he knew the voice but without sight to assure, he couldn't decide.

"I hope hand to hand combat is acceptable. I don't use weaponry - much." Zero Four said calmly, then took another deep breath and held it this time. When he exhaled, he covered the gloves on his fists with a thick layer of ice from his breath - now similar to make shift brass knuckles.

"As long as I can advance myself.." he murnured softly.

Spencer shifted her stance slightly, he didn’t attack which was odd to her. Usually people were quick to attack her, she didn’t look like much on the outside. The woman was slender and looked as if she never lifted a finger to do anything, but he was cautious. Curiously Spencer ran a finger down the side of her face, examining the situation at hand. His hand covered in ice a skill only Spencer had read about.

“Interesting.”

Needing to test boundaries Spencer raised her hand slightly. As she did so the force was summoned around her, the invisible entity focused on one burst of energy and thrusted out in a Force push. The wave rolled from the Master as she waited to see his reaction to her, one of the few times she took the first step, but it was worth gauging his will to grow stronger.

Unable to sense the incoming push, the giant man-child was knocked off his feet to slide to a halt nearly 5 feet away. Doing a rubber band snap, the man was back on his feet. Honing his senses, Varanin utilized a form of Force Shadow, without even knowing it.

Seeing from a point behind the woman and above them, it was as if he was the announcer for a Shock Boxing match. He could see her well, even himself. But only under a great deal of concentration - optimistically some day after enough growth he could say he developed a new form of Force Shadow. He would dub it...Battle Sight as it was simply a Shadow that he didn't smell or hear through.

Currently though he waited until the woman's hand dropped, then he was in motion. Charging forward at speeds surprising considering the size of the boy, Varanin launched into a powerful jump kick aimed for where the woman's core had last been spotted.

Following through with a sturdy placing of his strong leg, he sought to continue the momentum with several swift jabs.

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"] (lol sorry i bug you sometimes. I know your busy so i wait days before doing so again. I just love this plot idea)

He was quick, which was a good thing - but he lacked the ability to feel the force change and sense when someone was going to attack him with it. He had reflexes and stamina which was another point in his good qualities. Tilting her head she watched as he moved quickly, head on and dead set for her she waited till the last possible moment and then force leapt back keeping the distance between them. Before she landed and using her angle of rising and his descending, she force pushed the force from above hoping to crush him against the ground.

The woman landed on her feet gracefully regaining the distance he had closed when he attacked. Brushing aside her blonde bangs she spoke softly.

“Your environment is more than straight on. An enemy can see you move from point a to point b. Be aware of your area and use it to your advantage. A bantha can only ram its head against a wall for so long before it dies. Don’t be the Bantha.”

@[member="Varanin Zero Four"] - Don't worry about it, I had just lost hardcore muse with Spencer its coming back though.

This time, when the Push came, Varanin's mind was slightly more prepared. Attempting his own use of telekinesis, he moved himself forward with his energies as well. Now being more of a vaulting move. Yes it hurt quite a bit when his hands slammed into the ground, but the forward momentum carried him into a front flip.

Aiming his legs downward towards the general location of the Master's shoulders, he opted to take the wounded hands in place of such a devastating blow. After, he flipped backwards, to launch forward once more the moment his feet touched down. Attempting to tackle such a small body, should be easy for someone so massive, but that had already been proven otherwise.

Pouring his strength into the thrust, he hoped to drive the woman to the ground where he would commence as many well planted punches as he could.

Feeling the shift in the Force she picked up on his use of the force to counteract her force push. Smiling softly she made note of his quickness to learn, which was a good thing - it would make sure he survived. He now was attempting to come on top of her with his legs hoping to grapple her into the ground. She quickly read the attack, it was something she had seen before and being a fighter that constantly wanted to keep the distance, she used the force to leap backwards and create a gap between them. He would land within the space she had been in, but she was now once again away from him.

Understanding her surroundings she quickly found the destroyed droids that Varanin had been playing with before she had entered the arena. Picking up several pieces with telekinesis, she quickly launched them towards him.

The first large chunk struck his side, spinning him enough to avoid another. Immediately the man began to listen with all of his concentration, being able to backflip and avoid the next two in quick succession. Landing in a slow slide, the man stumbled into a powerful charge...

When the young man was sure the woman would dodge another tackle, he shifted into a hurtling leap seeking to knock her out of the sky.

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Unlike the flashy student, Spencer enjoyed keeping things simple. As he charged she waited till the last possible moment and then used the force to enhance her speed slightly, giving her a few steps to the left to avoid his charge and his twist into the sky. Raising an eyebrow, she watched as the charging bull misread and moved to assume her movements. Seeing this weak point, she once more picked up debris from the destroyed droids and hurled them towards the Ice Man.

“You think you would have learned. I can continue to dance around you Zero Four.”

Being struck again, the man avoided the rest. His ribs were aching from the blows already, so his ears were on high alert. "Yes, but if you could best me in a physical confrontation is the question." He called back with a grin, then spun and did a quick cartwheel with the intentions of bringing his foot down towards her neck in a sharp angle.

She was far superior in many ways, he just had to hope his own skills could maintain.

Spencer frowned, this would be one of the first times she had to prove herself in hand to hand combat. She knew enough and had been training Echani combat for a few years now. Her strength wasn’t up to par, but her defense was what set her apart from others. She watched as he flipped, she read openings in his defense and understood the boy to be of pure offense. The Master let him get close and as he moved to strike her with his foot, she raised her hands in an X at her wrists. With a balanced stance she caught him, her fingers pressing into his shoe gripping it as tight as she can. Spencer twisted her hips and added force into her next attack.

She had noticed the contact the droid debris had made on his ribs, she figured they were sore from the metal making contact with the weak point. With that knowledge, as she twisted her hips she brought her leg forward and kicked hard into the boys ribcage. The woman held him in place as she kicked and when she finished she pushed his foot from her. “Your arrogance won’t get you anywhere except dead in a ditch somewhere on Nar Shaddaa. Don’t size up your opponent just by looks – I was the last Queen of Eshan, I was the First Apprentice to Darth Desimus, Dark Lord of the Sith, I am Spencer Jacobs of the Fringe – don’t let my small and frail stature fool you. I’m a lot more than I look”

The blow caused a fracture in one of the bruised ribs, but the man did not call out. When she released him he slowly rose, arms returning to a ready stance, the only indication he was harmed being a change in his breathing. Yes his skill set lay in offense, that didnt negate his endurance however.

He would always get back up, Spencer would learn that quickly about her new apprentice. Once more he launched into motion, several accurate blows seeking to draw her arms into defense where he would apply devastating strikes if given the chance. All the while though he made sure to keep ready to block the wounded rib now, she would find it hard to hit him there once more.

"I did not belittle your size, rather i sought to bring you out to the open. You have to sacrifice a great deal to take a full strength blow from a Czar warrior, especially one whom specializes in hand to hand combat." Varanin admitted his plan in a way, was this cockiness? No, more the explanation he felt necessary for any possible disrespect she felt.

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

She had no emotion as he stood back up and moved to attack her. She allowed him to make contact with her body, but she blocked most of his attacks almost preemptively. Spencer missed a couple of the punches, which made contact with her lower torso, but with crucitorn she ignored the pain and continued to block and take the attacks. Something funny happened with the man's iced fists though, with one of his punches, she blocked with her hand moving downward and latching onto his wrist. A smile spread across her face breaking the still emotion. The ice that formed along his knuckles had been melting more and more after every blow that touched her. Held his wrist and stopped another punch with her hand, which enveloped around his now ice-less knuckles.

"Tutaminis, is all about energy flow...mostly thermal energy flow. You and your ice powers do the same thing yet you slow the energy down causing it to solidify into ice. By reversing it with my tutaminis - I can melt your ice. Once again, your arrogance has failed you. Pure strength isn't going to win you a fight - knowledge of other sources of power along with the understanding of your opponent will help you survive. Now its my turn."

Sparks circulated her hands as she gathered the energy around her. Like the ice powers that Varanin had, Spencer could transform the thermal energy and create lightning. The crackling of the violet bolts shot out towards the center of the boy's body. She could feel the bruising already occurring in her abdomen, but she focused on pushing the pain from her mind and continue to teach. He needed to learn.

As the electricity began to arc, Varanin heard it and his blood chilled. But he didnt lose focus, to do so could result in irreparable damage. Jumping high into the air the giant man used a great deal of his power to telekinetically whip himself across the space between them - successfully avoiding the electricity along the way. He didnt seek to use a singular appendage this time, but rather stretched his body as wide as it could.

It would in essence be like a fly swatter swinging at a bug. She believed he didnt know to plan ahead? Prior knowledge before action was a necessity. Once he had deduced whom Spencer was, the rest began to fall into place. Where she saw imbecilic moves, he simply planned. He had to know her capabilities - and sacrificing his health was a sure fire way to test this.

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Spencer raised an eyebrow at his unorthodox way of doing things. She enjoyed the simplicity of a fight, the flash and the overzealous movements were unnecessary and tended to set one up for unneeded torment. He arched over her electricity which was something she figured he would find a way around. Though despite his avoidance and blatant way of powering himself up despite his lack of training, Spencer waited. Gathering the reserve energies that she had absorbed from him and with her own proficiency with the Force and telekinesis she reached out with the Force.

Her focus was to pull him with every ounce of power in the Force she possessed. The force would form around him with her influence, as the force manifested around him the woman entered his mind focusing on his focus. As she entered his mind, she forced images of his death, losing all source of powers and finally in the end being cut off from the force. Using this opportunity she pulled hard with the force to drive his form deep into the ground of the training room. She was finished with this pointless fight, if he wanted her to train him he had gotten her attention - more so she was focused on breaking him and building him up into a respectable and able Force user.

If you continue this I will break you. I grow tired of your lack of preservation and blatant overzealous combat. If you want to learn how to really fight like a Force User you'll get up and show respect. @[member="Varanin Zero Four"]

Varanin rose, staggered hard to the right, gained his balance, then wiped the blood that trickled gently from his lip. Not even noticing the thin line escaping his left nostril, the man brought his gaze to the woman's, "Showing respect through combat is a universal means, if you feel any way i disrespected you please simply tell me so. I have always been a tool of war, it is all I know.

"But i do truly wish to learn by you Master." Varanin said as he slowly, and painfully, knelt on the ground before the blonde. Her beauty left him staring in awe at her for some time. When he noticed, he finally dropped his eyes to the floor.

He wanted to learn from her.

"There is more than a life of battle. Clean yourself up and get some rest I'll call for you in a few days and we'll start" Looking up towards the tower that ran the simulations, she waved her hand and they brought the slightly dimmed lights to full effect. There @[member="Varanin Zero Four"] would get to see the face of the woman he had just fought in full light. He would know her as Spencer Jacobs woot woot.

Silence was his response after removing his blindfold. It was Spencer Jacobs, the man would learn from one the grandest powers in the histories of space...as well as the wife of his genetic predecessor.

Managing to keep his mouth shut for a time, he nodded then bowed before turning to leave the room. It was improbable, learning from someone that could cause such a difficult position in his life. Yet there she had stood.

He wondered what they would do first....
