Round 1: Cooler Heads Prevail (Sena Lassiter vs Azreal)

Location: Frozen cave, Hoth

[member=Sena Lassiter] vs [member=Azreal]

The remotely placed ice block that was Hoth was far from One Sith control. Now? The desolate world became the playground for one of the Sith's tournaments. The harsh conditions of the cold planet of glaciers and snowy wastes made it a tempting location. The two Sith Acolytes would find that more than merely their opponent threatened to take them down, should they lower their guard. The place seemed devoid of life, ensuring that the two Sith would remain uninterrupted for the duration of their little quarrel.

The duel itself would take place far below the surface, yet the location was no less unforgiving. Each combatant would find themselves inside of a box. The space was not for the claustrophobic, and it was completely dark inside, with no vision of the outside. At least it was moderately heated. They were left in isolation, before thrust into the frozen cave, ready or not. Neither had been informed where they were going beforehand. Without warning, one of the box's walls fell down, making the first cool introduction with their surroundings. Ahead of both, there'd be a tunnel complex, but it was a short one, and ultimately they all led to the same place.

At the end of the tunnel, there was a large, open cave. The cave was a mess of ice, rocks and icicles. It was an uneven surface for the most part, with rocks serving as minor hills and sharp distractions. Most of the flat areas were covered in ice, a result of two separate bodies of water that had frozen solid. And so, the stage was set. Two Acolytes had been dropped into the cave. Which one would walk out victorious?

The wall came crumbling down and with that Sena was free to move again. Having been seated in meditation she grabbed her hilt as it hovered in front of her. The soft leather-clad gloves covering her hands squealed ever so slightly as finger for finger wrapped itself around the metal cylinder. Her eyes slowly opened to her surprise she found herself in the midst of a darkness much like the one she had found herself in if she had kept her eyes closed.

For a moment she blinked as if to reassure herself she was alive. The sensation of eyelids batting against each other proved itself evidence enough and Sena let her arms push her from the floor in an awkward lift. Her arms shook and her balance was off but eventually she planted both heels firmly in the ground to regain it. She may have been trimmed for war but darkness such as this would disorient even the strongest of warriors.

Her saber ignited to light up the pitch black darkness that had surrounded her. The hum of her weapon reverberated around the narrow corridor as she lowered it’s superheated blade to lend its orange glow to the floor. In the distance she heard the winds gust. Carefully planting one foot in front of another she creepingly carried herself towards the source of the sound. She had her suspicions to what it was but all ideas were disproven as she exited her tunnel and stepped into a large chamber unlike any other she had seen before.

At least this place was lit up. Sena turned her saber off and approached the cliff she had unknowingly placed herself on top of. A quick look over the edge had her staring down a drop that would kill most men, but Sena wasn’t ‘most men’. In fact she wasn’t a man at all. Drawing the force to herself she leapt down from the ledge and onto the ground of the greater chamber.

A leisurely look had her looking at the stalactites -- or was it stalagmites? -- hanging proudly above her. She felt someone was nearby, but their signature was not known to her. Was this the test that her master had signed her up for?

It probably was, wasn’t it?

Keeping it in mind she ignited her saber once more and remained alert. This was about to get interesting, but she didn’t know when, how or where. The anticipation was, in a sense, killing her inside.

| OC: I am sososoosososososososososo sorry guys. I hope my lateness will be forgiven (its ok if you don't) |

It was pitch black, the space he was in equated to the average amount of person space one would have in an overcrowded prison cell. After knocking around the dark enclosure he found that one of the walls had a hollow sound. He started to move backwards, or more accurately flatten his back so that he had enough space to life up a knee and kick down the wall in front of him. The wall came down, Azreal was hit with an icy wind as the moderately warm air of the space he previously dwelled in came out and drew in the outside air. Other than that small exchange of aerial particles the conditions were dead silent, there was no wind and with that completely still air.

He could feel the two handles at his feet, picking them up they seemed to be light sabres of extremely simple design. They were completely smooth with the exception of a single button on each. He activated the two for a test and they illuminated a generic red at a short length. He took the shoto blades and with their reflected illumination on the icy tunnel in front he continued forwards. Seeing the light ahead he took his fingers off the buttons and opened up both of his lower arm cavities, placed both in and closed the flesh over it. The place now found himself in was - although significantly brighter than where he previously was - still quite a dim condition.

Icy stalagmites littered the roof of the cavern and in many places hung low enough for the average person to make a jump to and reach. Sliding down a small icy hill Azreal came to a stop. Cocking his head to the side he could vaguely sense another person nearby. He slowly changed the colour of his skin to a blueish icy colour,his body started to produce ice-like spikes and take on a slightly oblong shape in imitation of his surroundings. And although his skin could not take on a completely clear colour so he compromised by having it as an opaque blue.

He was now moving at an extremely slow pace, quietly observing his surroundings waiting for the other presence to near.
