Intent: A personalized weapon that Roshki can use to take over the world further her work as Jedi...if she did any work.
Development Thread: Crystals Here
Manufacturer: Roshki Belawiiks
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Jedi Order/Roshki Belawiiks
Modularity: Somewhat
Production: Unique
Material: Painted/stained Cosian wood with durasteel lining the emitters and the inside; two magenta Solari crystals; lightsaber components (saberstaff-type)
Classification: Lightsaber (Saberstaff)
Size: Two-handed
Length: Hilt -- 40.5cm; Each blade is 145cm at its maximum length; minimum length is 70cm.
Weight: 2.2kg
Special Features: The Solari crystals cause the blades to be wider, allowing for easier deflection of blaster bolts. However, the lightsaber will only work for those aligned with the Light. Similarly, the crystals are attuned to Roshki, so even if you are a Lightsider, the weapon will not work at peak efficiency. The lightsaber is also equipped with a dual-phase function, allowing the blades to be adjusted as need be.
Description:
Though the making of the lightsaber is an average, boring story, the retrieval of the lightsaber hilt and the crystals is a fairly interesting one.
First, the crystals: During the early days of Roshki's apprenticeship to Master Kian Karr, the Kel Dor invited her to go along to the planet of Rhen Var, resting place of Ulic Qel-Droma and home of Solari Crystals. While in the cave, Roshki and Karr were separated, each taking part in separate Force visions. For Roshki, it was the visitation of her Pure Darkside self and of her Pure Lightside self. Both foretold that she would be faced with a difficult choice, sending her closer to the Light or closer to the Dark, based off of an atrocious act she commits (i.e. the event that happened after she escaped the Netherworld, which is a tangent story). After deciding to simply allow Fate and the Force to decide for her, the two Vision-people combined and gave her two magenta-colored crystals. However, sensing that they should only be for her saberstaff, Roshki opted to simply keep them as charms, and continued to use the generic (if boring) lightsaber of the Jedi Order.
Now, the handle. Made of painted and stained Cosian wood, the handle was originally a fortune statue that belonged to her former friend, Boulder. Two years after joining the Jedi Order, Roshki and her master Karr went back to Commenor, traversing the slums until they came across Sleemo, a former member of the young Togruta's gang. Upon learning that many of her people were dead, the Padawan gave the Rodian a very deserving punch and, together with the Kel Dor, went to their old place -- an abandoned apartment building, left over from the glory days of that sector. While there, she discovered the totem and decided to keep it for her handle.
Once home, she began to hollow out the totem and make it a fit for her lightsaber. After several weeks of fine-tuning, her personal lightsaber was complete.
