SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shockcharge. If the shield connects at the front central point, it has a single sonic discharge in it to disorientate opponents. This can be recharged over time, but usually, it's one per battle.
  • Shieldwall. Strong magnets link shields together easily to form a tough wall. These can be toggled on or off by either a switch or voice command.
  • Custom Design. The design is based on the wielder, while largely about the look or size of the shield. Spikes or blades could be added to the shield if the designer wishes for a more savage look.
  • PLA-CORR Coating and Finish 50% Anti-Corr and 50% Plasteel. Offering superior resistance to weathering the natural elements, scratch resistance, and keeping a shine.
STRENGTHS
  • Shockcharge. The ability to charge an opponent or hit them with the front of the shield, and discharge a sonic blast. With the ability to customize the surface design, a few might come with spikes or blades to enhance the impact blow further.
  • All-rounder. It's a good all-around shield. Not too heavy, and not indestructible. It will take some good hits to most weaponry as you'd expect a shield to, eventually breaking.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limits forms. Lightsaber forms are not designed around carrying a shield. Maybe with work and effort styles can be adapted but that will take time and training.
  • Stands Out. If you are trying to get somewhere undetected, carrying a great big shield with you is a sure way to get noticed and remembered.
DESCRIPTION

Oath to the Rune: A Sith Kethenite symbol based on Valarith Coins and made of the Sith Sphere's dead language. Each wearer of the shield crafts his own rune and seals it with an oath. Each oath is worded differently for the individual, but all must include swearing undying loyalty to the Sith Code. To die rather than turn from the code, given in front of others who have made the same oath. The watcher's duty becoming to kill you if you break it.

Each shield is different, crafted for the wielder's lineage and designed in their name. Gold is common for Kethenites, others often use different shades of black, silver, grey, darker brown, and red. Often but not always a family symbol will be alongside the carved rune, denoting the lineage of the wielder and putting the oath beside or on top of their family name. The size will vary with each fighter, some might be built larger to the knees, others smaller to the waist. Most will at least cover the arm fully up to the shoulder.

Coming with a secure but comfortable handle, it is usually lined with soft leather to allow for a firmer grip for longer, but others prefer their own custom grip. The shields have a magnet to link them together in a shield wall effect, this can be toggled on and off with a verbal command or an optional switch on the back. Finally, a sonic discharge can be applied to the center of the shield, requiring a physical impact with a surface to detonate.

Fire For Effects weapon techs were unusually silent on the matter of the shield's design. Mostly because all of them were killed after work was almost complete. A usual Kethenite greeting and lethal efficiency offered to their hosts. We have been assured by the company their fatality quota is lower than usual this month, due to a refinement of cloning procedures, so production and design of other products will not be affected.
