If the wielder should be too eagerly tempted by the darkside, a built in chain reaction can cause the casing around the stone to erupt, destroying the components of the lightsaber and causing harm to the wielder (intensity is based on writer and not to exceed power required to maim or blow up a hand).

- Incendiary: The cutting power is greatly reduced, but in exchange, successful strikes leave a plasma fire that continues to burn for several seconds after contact. Much like an Incinerator plasma railgun, the sustained damage over time can deplete light/personal shielding and melt through armor, even lightsaber resistant materials. The burning effect is also effective at countering organics with extreme regenerative capabilities, like Gen'Dai etc. (Not useable under water)

Provides the wielder the ability to activate an ability similar to Force Body. In this circumstance, the wielder is capable of overcoming tremendous feats they were previously unable. This includes obstacles, both mentally and physically, at the cost of potential harm and decay. While this gives them the chance to live through what they normally would not, it can often come at a price.
Provides the wielder and those within a short distance a boost in physical and mental ability, via Force Valor. This boost can include resolve, accuracy, dexterity, speed and strength. For those that benefit from this ability, they might notice that they move faster, strike with greater strength, and hit closer to target.
WEAKNESSES:
- Crystal -
This lightsaber crystals violently rejects the darkside. Not only can it not be used by a darksider, but should a lightsider activate this beam and fall to the temptation of the darkside, it has the potential to cause a chain reaction within the stone. The crystal's outer casing cracks, releasing stored gases, that will cause the crystal to explode and destroy the inner components of the lightsaber. The wielder can potentially receive damage from this explosion, not exceeding maiming or blowing up a hand. - Sensitive to environments that contain molten surface. While typically the beam can be contained by proper calibration of the lightsaber, it cannot hold on planets such as Mustafar or Sullust. In such environments, the beam begins to lose cohoesion, giving it the appearance of smoldering magma. This causes it to drip molten core, causing concern for both the user and whomever the user is combating.
- Typically the saber requires no additional input of energy from the user (in respect to the force). However, upon activation of Force Valor or Force Body, the physical and spiritual self begins to erode beneath the constraints. This puts substantial physical and spiritual demands on the user, requiring the risk of self-sacrifice to use.
- Just like with typical application of Force Body, this ability causes the user to lose sense of weakness or harm. While that may be a benefit at the time, it causes the user to risk life and limb without understanding the potential consequences. This effect is more drastic in apprentices or knights who lack the foresight to appreciate this undertaking.
[*]Force-neutral Bubbles - In the same way these neutral zones would affect a Force-user, it would nullify the abilities of the crystal.
[*]Stealth - With the link between the crystal and the wielder at a constant, it can be honed in on by those with a highly tuned Force sense, and in certain situations make stealth more difficult.
[*]Visibility - The orange blade of plasma makes the user easy to track both visually and nonvisually through energy receptors, even if previously stealthed.
[*]Lightsaber Shoto - Shoto wielders are required to become proficient in the lightsaber techniques of Jar'Kai or risk injury to themselves due to the increased dexterity needed to master it use. Also, due to the length of the blade, the wielder effectively sacrifices reach and leverage; it could be costly.
[*]Bifuricating Cycle Ignition Pulse - This blades function when submerged under water is highly situational, and seeing as she hates water -- well...
[*]Fencing Emitter - The increase in ability to parry is countered by its decreased ability to deflect blaster fire.
[*]No Shroud - She's use to having an emitter shroud there to protect her hands, this lacks that and in turn her hands and the hilt itself are vulnerable to attack.
[*]Secondary Mode - When toggling between modes, the lightsaber has to be shutdown, requiring a few seconds before the next activation. This makes switching possibly difficult while actively engaged in combat.

[*]Exotic Energy Weaponry - The lightsaber doesn’t perform well blocking certain kinds of exotic directed energy weapons, like particle beams, and paddle beamers. To a lesser extent, even blaster weapons can be effective in certain configurations, like a blast cannon.
DESCRIPTION:
Romi Jade has become a Jedi characterized by her prowess with the lightsaber and the brilliant red color her blade commands. Again, she pays homage to her unorthodox approach to Jedi-ship. This time with a lightsaber that was constructed from a rare Heart of Sullust crystal. Her secondary weapon commands a burnt orange hue with an interior that is a dull grey, resembling outwardly spreading smoke. Aesthetically pleasing and different has always been traits she'd opt for.
He had fought against her in training, and later in live combat during her greatest of personal trials. Veiere understood her skill, her practice both in the Force and in the arts of the lightsaber had nearly ended his life once

As always, she likes to be prepared for whatever. After being on the front lines in many different facets, facing off against premiere duelist, and effectively making it through one of the darkest points in her career, she's once again thought of and considered numerous scenarios in advanced. She opted to build an entirely new lightsaber to supplement her own hybrid and deadly fighting style, with modifications to be a successful backup out in the field. A Master of the fourth form of lightsaber combat, she has opted for the same lighter construction materials such as Alusteel from her primary saber to work in tandem with her acrobatic feats. This time she added a fencing emitter after deducing most of her fights have been against saber wielding opponents, and with this weapon she can even more effectively counter.
Considering this one, she didn't go for a dual-phase mechanism. The primary purpose of a shoto in combat was to counter attacks by an opponent's weapon while freeing the primary lightsaber for a return strike. Yes, she was sacrificing reach and leverage but it is worth noting that any handicap inherent in this form could be compensated for with sufficient knowledge of Ataru, whose acrobatic maneuvers could be used to regain the ground automatically lost, and Romi is a Ataru Master. In some cases, she prefers to draw her opponents in as she is also skilled practitioner of Trakata, and a shorter blade supported her idea of finding another way to throw her opponents off and draw them closer so she could step within their guard.
Gripping the steering yolk Ador flew off doing a circle around and looking through the viewport to see his master in action. He followed the trail of red snakes Romi created with her saber forming a nearly impenetrable shield.

Her goal was to modify her lightsaber to be more in-tune with her personal/unorthodox take on her role as a Jedi. As her skills range, she wanted to find a way to have multiple ways of approach In all situations whether it incorporate combat or not. Really, the lightsaber visibly functions like any other lightsaber shoto. She normally keeps this one hidden, attached to her belt but on her lower back and largely concealed by her jacket.
Though she still thinks she's too cute to ever be fully submerged underwater. Having gone through what she has, she didn't want to take any chances.
