Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was my ship

Slowly, the droid beeped next to him. Kei Garnik, no Kei Raxis climbed out of a small corner of his ship slowly. He nodded to the droid, placing the wrench to the side of the corner. He'd been fitting some new bolts, upgrading the old ship, attempting to make the lights in the cockpit work again after he broke them accidentally.

It happened!

Slowly he walked down the boarding ramp into the spacestation. He loved Dromund-Kaas, most of his time was spent on the planet, he wasn't sure why. He had a pull to the planet, one that he wasn't aware of. He loved the planet, he found his ship here, and again, he wasn't sure why he enjoyed the planet so much!

The world of Dormuund Kaas was a whole lot of things, with the silver sanctum and all of the things the research team were doing as her attention went to some of the larger portions. Her little probe droid was working on some of the things before she stood up and moved getting her robes on. The windows of the large temple they had been refitting into something more the jedi could use gave her a few things with points of interest. Her senses flaring a little while she was moving out with her hands going over her short hair to fix it a little. Here in the darker sections she had the really pale skin from the oppressive feeling but this was the best way to test a jedi's resolve with others there to monitor them. She was walking down and saw a ship that looked like something out of the history vids and registered somewhat in the jedi computers as a jedi ship a few thousand years ago. "Welcome."

Kei nodded to the female slowly, wiping his oily hands on his trousers. T3-J8 beeped lightly, heading back into the bowels of the ship to go and do some work on some wiring. The ship constantly needed to be repaired, while it was refitted it was also massively old, a four, maybe five thousand year old ship was bound to have it's faults, much like the Ebon Hawk did. It was however, his ship. He'd done the work for it, he'd gotten the ship from the old man who he'd helped all those months ago.

He'd been away for a few months, it happened. He'd been working in the deep fringes of space, smuggling spice for a rich Hutt. He didn't get paid much, he got enough to get by but that was it. The Hutts wouldn't pay if they knew they could save money by getting someone cheaper, thus you'd need to be cheap to get the Hutts attention.

"Thanks"

He felt the feeling, the force. It'd been months since he'd learned of his power, months since he'd learned of his heritage. Kei Raxis, it didn't sound right, but it explained everything. Grey Raxis, Jack Raxis, Kei Raxis and the other Raxis family, all were amazing pilots, it ran in the family. It made so much sense, each one of them was a force user.

So was the female.

"You have a name?"

The atrisian knight looked at him walking closer so she didn't have to shout over the distance and seem rude with a smile on her face. She spoke shaking her head to toss her hair back a little offering her hand. "I am Noriko." A smile with a flash of teeth before she looked over most of the things that were there and searched her memory for a few of the things. "THis ship is very nice and old." Try for idle conversation sure that would work. "Where did you find it?" And fishing for some of the things while she waited there turning some attention. "I love old ships." She didn't but make conversation and she held her hand out pointing towards the small area like a pilots and crew lounge.

He smiled slowly, the two could be siblings. Both loved ships, both had the force. He chuckled slightly to himself, eyeing the Ebon Hawk. It was an old ship, four thousand years old, he'd once found a recording of Revan aboard. The lights came on quickly, turning off just after. An apologetic beep from T3 announced he'd hit the wrong switch, a mistake that happened. Kei smiled again, knowing he'd need to get around to labeling switches in the cockpit.

"Meet the Ebon Hawk. Ebon Hawk, meet Miss Noriko. Got it here, an old man had it stole by a crime ring, I took the ship back and got it back in payment. Not that I am complaining like, but I did have to get rid of a crime ring to get the ship. I mean, worth it, but hearing him shoot wasn't happy"

"Wanna come look around Miss Noriko?"

Hmm now that seemed like it could be an interesting story to hear while she was looking over some of the things. Letting attention drift to all of it though as she nodded her head. "Yes I would love to see it." Who knew what might be aboard if this was really the Ebon Hawk there was a wealth of information on it that they might be able to use or get to with the right payment. She was somewhat actually excited and a little scaredish... really working on some of the things while she had some of the interest for it. This guy didn't seem evil but he could secretly have like young girls strung up in the cargo hold and have a skin suit from them made so he could dance around... or he could have like cat posters and thousands of stuffed animals.

He lead the way slowly up the boarding ramp, ducking a loose pipe at the top, holding it up for Miss Noriko to duck under. It was a four thousand year old ship, some things still needed to be tied up to the top of the ship. He smiled, nodding to T3, who vanished back into the cockpit. Kei wasn't sure what the little droid was doing, chances are he was finally finishing off the annoying wiring problem he'd been having. That was the hope anyway, though for all Kei knew he could of easily been slacking off reading droid comics.

Kei strolled into the first crew quarters, the one he'd claimed as his own. No cat posters, but plenty of loose wires, screws and half working bits of tech that needed fitting to the ship's engine at some point. The bed was a mess, Kei quickly trying to hide it, cheeks turning slightly red. He wasn't expecting to show such a person around his ship, thus he never really bothered to try and make his bed. He was only gonna make it messy again when he slept in it so.

He strolled around to the back, first cargohold. Basic food in crates, water, nothing worth seeing. It was the same with the rest of the holds, ignoring the crates of spice in the back, hidden. They were not his, he was transporting them. After a look around the main hold and "guest quarters", they strolled into the cockpit, the blinky lights stating how T3 had done his job. He sat down, nodding to the co-pilots seat next to him.

"Wanna go see what speed we can get up to in orbit?

I need a co-pilot, T3 don't cut it anymore, sorry buddy"

Walking through the ship was a time she would have to admit, more nervous and waiting for something to jump out at her and at them or just something to explode.... all the exposed wires and things painted a picture of this thing being held together with duct tape or glue instead of being one of the finest ships of its day. "It looks cozy." Yes be diplomatic for the best of it though as she looked around the first room raising an eyebrow but remaining quiet and neutral with her expression.. Though that the first thing he showed her was his bed was something of a joke or maybe it was more in that.. Either way she didn't say anything walking with him to see the rest and looking around the cargo holds. Then off to the crew quarters and cockpit so she could observe some of it before looking at the seats and him. "Well it is a very hard thing to resist getting to fly around in the Ebon Hawk... even if it has seen better days. If you want i could get some of the repair droids in here... don't want you blowing up because of a loose wire."

Kei chuckled slowly, firing up the engines. They'd take a few moments, and he decided to use the time to reply to the female sat next to him.

"It ain't blown me up yet darlin'. Ship's a fixer upper, but she's mine. I got her"

He smiled, slowly flicking a small leaver to his right. He allowed the ACU to calibrate, again roughly another minute. His eyes flashed across the screen in front of him, technical readouts from T3. The fuel levels were fine for this short flight, the ship was cooling in the right places. A small leak patched up with solder was holding, it hadn't caused any issues. Slowly T3 whistled, the take off clearance given.

He pulled another small leaver, nodding.

"You want the honor of gettin us airborne?"

She was sitting there and looking at him while she smiled to the idea with a nod of her head. Waiting for it to be ready and moving her hands as she set them on the controls of the ship as she spoke. "Oh very nice." She had a small look out the viewport while going over some of the things with all of her attention bringing the ship up while she could see the temple and the rest of the city in the space port. "Might not have blown upp yet but if you get it pretty could go from port to port finding all those ladies who love fast ships and learning controls while sitting on the pilots lap." She said it to be a small joke but she knew some other pilots in the galaxy... better yet well helping him could help the jedi with a chance in the future in case there had been anything left on the ship.

He cackled slightly, watching as Miss Noriko worked like a dream, her nimble fingers tracing the controls simply and slowly. He took control, taking the main throttle as he tilted the ship towards the atmosphere, feeling the ship lurch as they exited the sheet. He smiled, watching the planet below. He removed a small data chip from his pocket, labeled Revan. He'd found the chip in a small crate in the back of his ship, he hadn't watched it yet.

"This chip, a legendary Jedi, Revan made it. You wanna watch it with me?"

[member="Noriko Ike"]

[member="Kei Garnik"]

Well that was strangely easy but she was also suspecting an ulterior motive to it at least something she knew from holovids that people did. "You aren't going to pretend to yawn and grab my boob are you? Or offer me popcorn with a hole in the bottom?" She said it more as a joke cause there were a number of other tricks she knew people did but not a bad thing just a strangeness and a kindness to it as she let him have the controls. "But well how can I turn down a video about a legendary jedi." No really how can I turn it down? Was one of the thoughts going through her head as documentaries were at times boring or worse it could be educational... or a home vid recorded by the droid showing things. "Let watch it."

Will be dev threading the chip, don't worry. Unless u wanna keep it between the two of us :)

He slid the chip in slowly, a hologram filling the entire of the viewscreen in front of the two. A picture of Revan would be seen, his mask on his head. He would be telling the stories of his life, his life. However, it was in very little detail, it was nearly useless to learning about Revan. Although it left in the important bits. It was filmed before his fight with the emperor, that much was clear. It was an early holocron, a very early holocron.

The recording cut off suddenly, the chip being empty finally. Kei eyed the female next to him slightly, smiling. He wasn't sure what to think, he didn't learn much, but what he learned was useful. He knew the story of Revan, the story of his life, but there was massive chunks missing. What happened, what happened before the Sith empire?

He wanted to know.

"What you think?"

Noriko had moved to watch it and keeping herself next to him with some excitement. her eyes dilating as she was listening and watching it while it played.. and it was small with chunks missing while she thought about it. Most of her attention was there on it as she committed it to memory with a look at him at the end while her black eyes went back to normal. "I think it was interesting, though there is a lot missing. Was there anything else of his you found here on the ship?" She was wondering while looking over some of the things they had there and there wasn't much for this... just the two of them in a ship in space with no one to really bother them for however long... she knew she wasn't needed in the temple.

He smiled sadly. The card was all he found on the ship, he'd gone through it thoroughly, with as much dedication as he could muster. He'd searched the ship from top to bottom, every inch of the ship'd been checked. The third cargo hold had the most searching however, he'd turned it into the armory for the ship, he'd cleaned out every square inch of that hold to fit the guns and armor in. There was nothing, nothing but an old beat up droid who was thrown out.

"Lot of gaps, just like there was in his memory. I found nothin else aboard ship, the data chip was the only thing in here. He must of filmed this for his wife, knowing that his time was coming"

He nodded again, slowly. He eyed the female slightly, flipping a small switch to the side, swapping to the secondary power supply now they were in orbit.

"Data chip was useful in learnin' the basics though"

She thought about it and well it was better then nothing while she moved a little looking at him. "Well maybe but we'll just have to see. Though I am curious now to see what basics you learned from it." She didn't move this was more comfortable while she looked at the ship taking in the scope of it. All of the hard work they were doing to uncover some of the past from the jedi for some of the things. Then a relic had come if for no other reason then luck or the will of the force as the jedi knight stretched a little. "Though since you got me all alone up here.... The real question is what else should we do? THere is plenty to explore, this ship should have some cool things or maybe get to some of the lesser explore sections of the planet."

Kei smiled. Exploring the lesser known areas sounded fun, he'd get a chance to learn more about his new friend. He flipped a small leaver, the ship tilting towards it's new destination, a small abandoned city at the bottom pole of the planet, the storm of the atmosphere having torn it apart hundreds, if not thousands of years prior. He felt the ships controls under him, allowing T3 to do the brunt of the work, making any correction where the droid missed a step or got way too cautious.

Why not live life on the edge?

"The lesser known areas of the planet, nice call"

He smiled lightly, making another tilt of the ship. He eyed his friend lightly, flipping another small leaver on the central console, turning a small knob to forty two degrees.

"You feel...strange my friend. The force clouds you, thicker and stronger than any I have met"

It was easier to just come out with it, he knew that. Perhaps his new friend would be able to aid him, help him where he failed. She was strong with the force, something he'd come to accept. The force clouded everyone different, some were stronger than others. This female though, she was very strong. Kei could feel it pouring from her.

Noriko looked at him as she raised an eyebrow... stronger and thicker? "You think I am thick?" She was petite and atrisian they rare got.... oh she was going to punch him in the tit if he kept it up while making a face and looking at herself while she spun around a little. "You are terrible at compliments and it is because of that I wont tell you everything... but I am a jedi knight and was raised in a jedi family. You are most likely feeling what a lifetime of being trained does over some of the ones who come into the force later." She didnt think she was better but training as a toddler let you learn how to really use the force and access it. She was looking at where they were going to be headed and she could work with that as she shook her head with a smile letting her bangs go over her face.

He chuckled again, turning the ship slightly. She'd been training forever, he'd been training for a month, even then not training. He'd known of his power for a month, learned one thing, nothing else. He thought over what he'd said, perhaps the word thick came off wrong. He didn't want it to, he didn't want to loose his new friend before he even gained said friend. He adjusted the ship once more, smiling slightly to himself.

"Not thick, I assume you are smart. I couldn't ever pass as a Jedi Knight, the stories are enough to turn me away. I like action, peace is good but smuggling is for me."

He smiled lightly, bringing the ship to a halt above a small clearing. He brought the ship down slightly, the bump of the landing gear stating the landing. He lowered the boarding ramp, standing.

She was looking at him when he spoke and offered a smile pointing for a moment and tapping at his nose. "Boop, it is alright, now come on. You get to have little old me all alone in the jungle and well I suppose you can ask about the force. You might not be a jedi but you aren't a sith either means you can at least be swayed it I play my cards right." she said it more as a joke while walking and stretching a little. The planet was dank and depressing with that oppressive feeling of the darkside while she slid from her thigh clasp the saber staff with a nod of her head. "Come now is there anything on this world you are hoping to find?" She could offer some ways to work to teach him with most of her attention to seeing if there were any sithspawn around.
