Road of Trials

After Ra made her escape from the confrontation outside of the Balmorran Arms Factory, she made her way to the Sundari Outpost there to tend to the wound on her face and make connections to others within the Coalition. It was there she had learned of the three pronged attack that had happened and who had done it.

Clenching her fists, she wondered what had brought the attack on, but she didn't lash out. Instead, she turned that anger into fuel and came to a decision on some things. No longer would she support in any manner the sith. In a way, she had already started pulling away from them, this was just the final catalyst needed.

Her focus now would change and her path altered. While she knew of the bounty on her head, all part of the role she played. When the hunter came, she wouldn't go as easily as she would have originally. After this, she was done with the sith though and her hands would be clean of them.

SUNDARI OUTPOST

The thing with Fett was that he always got his man. Whether it take time, or none at all. No matter who was thrust before him in a desperate attempt at defenses. He always persevered. Inexorable, surely. Something strange about a man so impervious to any obstacle. Koda may have met his match in the past, bested by it, bested it himself- who knows. It wasn't as if the Mandalorian was going to speak publicly of his short-comings, but then again, when did he speak publicly at all?

It was now that this Bounty Hunter waded through the halls of the Sundari Outpost. His previous objective completed moments ago, securing the plans desired by a certain Sith Lord. Bolts freshly blasted from his carbine, flames recently scorched the earth from his wrist, and rockets soared from a gauntlet. The arsenal of any Mandalorian was not to be taken lightly.

"Ra'a'mah." His muffled, yet synthesized and booming voice echoed. "You're coming with me." The latter part finding itself far more sinister, if you would call it that. Fett was always willing to take a quarry unscathed, and on their own terms, but it was a rarity. Not even Koda believed Ra'a'mah to come in peace. Peaceful people in this galaxy were dwindling with each day, and Fett wasn't helping in that regard.

@Ra'a'mah

He would not be met with opposition from anybody within the office area of the outpost. Ra had made sure the area was clear and nobody was going to get hurt in her capture. Especially considering she needed to put up a fight to make it look authentic. Without anybody to watch, she could use the Force if she wanted to. The cameras had been disabled and there would be no recordings from them.

Letting out a sigh, she turned when the hunter spoke to her. Her eyes were a natural and not corrupted golden color and she looked at him from head to toe and back up to his helmet before speaking.

"You're right I am, but you have to catch me first, hunter."

Mandalorians were respected, loathed, glorified, and vilified. It was a matter of perspective, really. In the days of old, the days in which Fett had preferred, the Mandalorians were among the greatest warriors of the Galaxy. Perceived as a barbaric race of raiding monsters that lived for the battle. It was the truth, to a degree. Some people were just hardwired that way, and Koda certainly was. Whether through a harsh decade of brutal training, or the experiences that molded him into the perfect man for any job- or so it seemed. Now? According to Fett, they were nothing more than a directionless horde of servants. Despicable. But what did the opinion of a dar'manda with a certain diaspora mean to anyone?

"Hmph." The infamous hunter huffed beneath his helmet.

His right hand raised rapidly, firing off a barrage of bolts in the direction of Ra'a'mah as the Blaster Carbine began to be tucked beneath his right bicep. His left hand, however, rushed downwards to his hip, snatching at a WESTAR-34 that began to open fire with it's signature sound, and alarmingly aggressive fire rate.

She was only wanted alive, after all.

@Ra'a'mah

The violent reaction of the hunter shouldn't have been surprising, but it was. Ra kept her emotions close though and reacted accordingly. Like she had out on the plains, she raised a barrier around herself in case those blasts got close enough to hit her. Using the Force, she dashed out of the trajectory of them and the score marks left behind were clear.

"You have to do better than that."

She had yet to pull any real tricks out of her bag, but was ready for him. At least she thought she was.

Noticing those weren't stun shots that had been fired, she wondered what he was trying to accomplish. Not bothering to ask though, she felt the potential to move outside might be a better plan rather than keeping the fight inside.

The Mandalorian persisted in his potentially lethal attack until Ra'a'mah left the confines of the outpost to brave the exterior. A place that supplied Fett with more room to breathe, more room to enact his mobile style of combat. Whilst it may benefited the former Sith, it certainly weighed up in the favour of the Mandalorian. Flames, indents, and scorched interiors were typically a tell-tale sign of a dangerous scenario, but not of an individual. Only a Mandalorian with an arsenal so large was capable of leaving all to much destruction in his wake, and call it reckless endangerment, but Fett always deemed it as necessary destruction.

Whilst the two remained inside the Bounty Hunter reverted to non-lethal weaponry, if but for a moment. A barrage of stun rockets departing his wrist gauntlet, screeching on their way to the intended destination: Ra'a'mah. The weapon, whilst dangerous with an explosive, was less lethal. Only emitting a deafening screech, causing uneasiness in the vision, motor function, and concentration. Making them popular against Force Users, but just as effective against any combatant.

@Ra'a'mah

Enhanced with the Force Ra caught those rockets Koda sent her way with the Force. Wrapping them up in bubbles of a barrier, she smirked slightly and they flew back in the direction they had come.

"I'm not as easy to catch as some others I don't think. Just because I won't go without a fight, I know you're here to capture me. Let's dance, hunter."

Speaking this as she moved and drew them outside. At this point in time, it didn't matter to her anymore if others learned about her Force ability or not. What mattered more was the fight between her and this hunter.

Not expecting those rockets to hit their target, Ra hoped they did.

The barrage was all too intense, too far in it's spread- both in height, and width. It was fired with the intention of enveloping an area too broad to avoid, but one could assume the Mandalorian didn't expect her to catch the entirety of it and send it back in his own direction, after all. His eyes widened beneath his helmet, an instinctive scowl accompanying it as he prepared himself; tensing his body with anticipation. Weaving left and right, the missiles - in their irregular path - barely missed him. That was, however, until he caught one directly in the centre of his chest, a blackened ring formed on his beskar'gam but not leaving so much as a scratch. It's design was not focused on killing power, but instead a worthy distraction.

For the briefest of moments the Bounty Hunter remained on his back, scrambling to his feet once more. Admittedly, there happened to be a distinct soreness in his chest region, but much like a relentless predator: Fett was back on the hunt. It was said that he was frustratingly difficult to kill, that no matter what came at him he always got back up. Be sure of it. Fett always got his man, or woman in this instance.

He trudged outside, pursuing his quarry as he knew fair well she wasn't trying to run. She was wanted alive, but that always made things difficult. Suppose that's what separated a bounty hunter from the best bounty hunter. He needed to be resourceful, and that began by scanning his environment. In the meantime his Carbine fired red streaks as quickly as his finger could slam on the trigger. Understanding that they were likely to be blocked, or even deflected, but he was to far to be impacted by returning fire.

Time to move back to tradition.

@Ra'a'mah

As one of the bubbles she had wrapped his attack in hit him, Ra used the opportunity to high tail it outside. The outcome of the fight was a given, but the getting to it was going to be a fun game of cat and mouse. Right now, she would make sure she was the cat. When the time was right, she would be the mouse and get caught. Luckily it was going to be alive and hopefully unharmed but time would tell on that.

Debating on her course of action, while he was regaining his feet, she ran outside. It took him only moments to catch up, but those moments were what she used. As a trained assassin, she was able to disappear from sight, sound and not be seen by any of the tools he had in his helmet. In the blink of an eye, she was gone.

Wanting to make this into a serious game, she would have to use her best skills against him. Any tricks he might have, she needed to counter. He fired blindly in her direction in an attempt to hit her. Using the Force, she dashed out range of the those blasts. She had her weapons at her side, but not in her hands. As soon as she might draw either of them, it would reveal her location to him.

Enhancing her voice with the Force, she projected it to sound like it came from another location than where she stood.

"How do you want to go about this, hunter?"

SUNDARI OUTPOST

At the lip of the doorway is where Fett stood. The sunlight beamed down upon him, reflecting off of what parts of his armour that still allowed shine- primarily his black, polarised visor. His somewhat hunched, yet combative stance ceased to exist once Ra'a'mah vanished from his naked eye and sensors too. It'd be a lie to claim that he understood it all, for he didn't. It wasn't often that someone eluded him in such a manner- escaping the Mandalorian as a whole was uncommon. It was now that he stood upright, the blaster lowered to a half-mast, ready to snap at a moments notice.

Then came that voice. Her voice boomed from a location, forcing his entire being to snap in the direction of it. Although, it seemed that nothing was there. Yet another reason as to why the force was an entity Fett despised. It was too deceiving, and whilst Koda was definitely cunning- it wasn't to this level, no.

It was a strange question that she offered. Even had a rather obvious answer.

"It doesn't matter. You're coming with me."

@Ra'a'mah

A simple trick of the Force and he had turned his head to look in the direction of the voice she projected. Watching his body language, Ra actually wondered if what he said was accurate and the capture could be easy if she gave up.

Another location for the voice was picked, but she remained hidden where she was. Not moving an inch, only her mouth opened to speak.

"If I surrender without any more of a fight, what word do you give me of an easy capture?"

To her, word meant everything and if he gave it that he would not attempt to harm her further, she would trust him and come out. To some it might seem foolish, but she was a businesswoman and her word was what she lived by.

"You are wanted alive." His methods may of been lethal, but that was the nature of his arsenal. There wasn't too much of it designed to incapacitate, or even stun for a capture. Even then, he was more than capable of shifting the non-lethal weapons into being dangerously efficient at killing another person. Be it the whipcord, or the darts. The latter being easily interchangeable. Fett was simply too accustomed to killing, but even he would argue real skill comes in the form of restraint- being able to subdue an adversary who wants nothing more than to see you dead, vaporised into ash or broken inside the beskar shell.

The Mandalorian began to move forwards, his Carbine at the ready whilst his head pivoted. Within his helmet, the HUD continued to actively search for anything. He wasn't bound to give up so easily, now was he? The soil crunched beneath his boot, ever cautious. Ra appeared to be willing to submit, but there was something distrusting regarding an individual who could vanish. It wasn't as if Fett held much trust for anyone at all, really.

Rest assured, she would have a safe passage to his employer. As safe as the Bounty Hunter could whilst also keeping her at arms length.

@Ra'a'mah

Considering the various options she had, Ra would watch from her hiding spot the movements made by the hunter. She had yet to actually draw any of her weapons and use them on him.

The only visible weapon she had was actually the blaster on her hip. The short sabers were up her sleeves and knives in her boots. Taking the blaster out of its holster, she decided to test and see how trigger happy the hunter really was.

He might hear the sound of it being pulled out, but that was fine by her. Ra did not intend to actually fire at him. Instead, she lofted it into the air to have it land on the ground between them. She also came out of stealth and hiding.

Not stupid enough to totally lower her guard, she replaced the Force Barrier around herself in case he chose to blast her. Her hands were at her sides and she waited.

"Alive or alive and unharmed? I'm tired of fighting today."

Ever perceptive, never yielding. It may appear as if it were a blessing, for Fett always knew his surroundings and what was to come next- or what to expect. It wasn't often anyone caught him off guard, in truth. The reality, however, is that he lived his life on the edge. He couldn't trust anybody, and even those that he could were always kept at an arms length- so, perhaps he really couldn't. All it did was create an isolated and independent individual who answered to no man but himself. A lethal killer, a feared hunter of man, and an unfortunate son. Yet he wanted no sympathy. He was blinded by his own ego to see the truth of himself.

The Bounty Hunter's entire body snapped in the direction of the woman once her blaster had been unclipped from it's holster. His helmet's amplified senses had truly kicked in. A scowl combined with a smirk creased across his lips at the sight of the blaster pistol colliding with the dirt. Adjusting his stance to be entirely upright, and somewhat at ease once she revealed herself.

"Your decision." He warned.

@Ra'a'mah

As her blaster sailed through the air, his own followed it. Once it hit the ground and they faced each other, he lowered his. Though the voice was modulated, the threat behind his two words was obvious.

Taking a brief hold of the Force, Ra finished nudging the blaster to his feet. Tipping her head in its direction, she waited to see if he would pick it up or not.

"As I said, I'm tired of fighting."

He wouldn't get any further fighting or resistance from her. Ra also knew who she was being taken to see.

SUNDARI OUTPOST

In truth, it was an absolute rarity that a quarry came clean, and on their own terms. Although, Ra hadn't come exactly clean. It was at the expense of some pain, spent ammunition, and a slither of energy. Most refused to be captured by the enigmatic yet infamous Bounty Hunter. Knowing full well what untimely fate they awaited on the other side, or perhaps some as awfully equivalent. Perhaps worse. Most would argue anything is better than death, but not when you've earned yourself the ire of someone willing to go above and beyond in terms of their payment to capture you.

His gaze trickled downwards, watching the blaster pistol slowly reach his foot by the aid of the force. Fett never got used to it, though, it even caught raising his eyebrows for a brief moment- then shaking it off. The Mandalorian's right foot was raised, pinning the pistol beneath his boot, then offering the same gaze to the woman.

In one combined movement he moved his Carbine upwards, but not in a threatening way- simply gesturing to his right with it- his head nodding in the same direction. "Go." His muffled voice spoke. The less she knew the better. The Spear II sat somewhere off in that direction. It wasn't too far, but far enough to complain about the soreness of your legs if you were just any other average joe. Throughout the entirety of the walk, presuming it occurred, Fett was to stay behind Ra'a'mah. Entirely untrusting.

@Ra'a'mah

For nothing more than a brief moment, Ra did consider changing her mind again. However, if she did, things would turn uglier than they already were. She had put up a small fight and that was enough. Not bothering to argue with him, when he motioned with his gun, she started walking in the direction indicated.

That Force barrier remained in place in case he attempted to shoot her from behind. As much as he did not trust her, the same was said about Ra. There was no trust, but it seemed to be a natural state for both of them.

Not another word was spoken by her as she trekked to where his ship laid waiting for him to return to it. She would only speak if he broke the silence to ask, request to tell her something.

Any emotion he felt was lost on her since Ra was not a naturally empathic person. In a way it was one of the things that made her think she was sith. She could feel sympathy, but not empathy. Unable to place herself in the shoes of another person, she did not pick up on the emotions of others at all.

The Bounty Hunter's booted feet impacted the soil, indenting it with each and overstep he made in the direction of his space-faring craft that was as easily identifiable as the Mandalorian himself- despite the relative popularity of the armour design itself. Be it the colour scheme or otherwise.

Still, the Carbine remained in his grip- pointed at the back of his quarry as she walked ahead of him. His eyes never left her figure, unwilling to be caught by surprise or in another fashion that can result in undesirable actions. Even actions he, himself, may consider undesirable. Perhaps the risk of a lesser pay, or none at all if Fett decided he'd rather kill than let someone escape.

It wasn't as if it mattered. Koda Fett had secured himself another bounty. Wherever this woman was to go once he delivered her, he did not know- nor did he care. Only the credits that came with the trafficking.
