"Brandyn!"
"Get Rook. Get the kids! GET OUT!"

Her voice wasn't too far off. The Jedi Master running in that direction, and the closer he got the more chaos he felt. Light and dark clashed against one another, the presence of the innocents were felt nearby. He could hear the screams of them, not his allies but it was what the darkness had planted. A place to purge all hope, this netherworld beast. Kahne arrived just as Vizions and Elias's blades had made contact and the punch thrown at Vizion. Whatever malcontent beast had shrouded him and devoid him of the precious things that everyone needed. Light, hope and friendship...

Elias would see and feel these things once more.

"Elias!" Kahne's voice cut through the shroud as he looked to gain the attention of whatever it was. "You are not gone completely my friend." The Jedi Master raised his hands, a wave of lightside energy lashing out from his palms. The others had retrieved the children and Rook, fleeing the scene. Not out of fear, but out of the need to finish the mission and save whom they could.

"There is no darkness that can evade the light. The force is with us. We are with you, Elias. Open your eyes, push through the veil!" Kahne's words echoing out like a prayer as the waves of light continued from his palms, stronger with each wave. As the wave's moved passed, going through his allies like an invisible veil. It would give them hope, healing and strength. Just enough to rise again and level the playing field.

Make your midichlorians dance.

"Spawn of darkness, you are at your end. I will draw you from your vessel, our friend and ally......and you will be destroyed!!" The Jedi Master's hands shot forward as it would seek to wrap Elias and the dark entity in place. The light reaching within, lashing out at the dark entity compelling it flee. And once it was completely gone from Elias, Kahne would destroy it with the last bit of energy he would have before it rendered him completely exhausted. The Jedi Master shook slightly, the weight of the dark and the light tugging back and forth until it finally gave way, the sickening scream that was uttered not from Elias but from the creature itself as it was stripped from Elias and was now in full view. Kahne's breath shuddered lightly as his hand shot forward the remaining energy he had left ripping through the form of the evil before it was finally gone at last.

"Is....Is...."

The Jedi Master voiced and breath shuddered as he collapsed to one knee, catching himself as he sought to catch his breath.

Hope was necessary for all things. This was something he truly believed in, above everything. Hope that was instilled in many, would raise them up to become great things. All they could be, it was a wonderful and powerful feeling.

Kahne’s hands on Elias felt like acid straight to his skin. Deep inside, pushed to the back of his own mind, Elias could feel it. He was conscious to the pain but could do nothing about it. His mouth opened to scream, but it was the Archon’s voice that rang out, filling the lab with unnatural sounds until finally, it was forced from his body.

Elias dropped to the floor, weak and barely breathing, like an evening jacket doffed without concern. His eyes fluttered as he fought to maintain consciousness, struggling against the unbearable exhaustion. He could see flashes of memories racing through his head, a supercut of his life with holes in it like cigarette burns in a sheet of paper. Pieces were missing, and as he tried to focus on them, he found himself slipping closer to an endless sleep that begged to embrace him in eternal warmth.

I’m not… ready…” he whispered, the words barely audible over the violent duel that was taking place. He could hear voices, but Elias couldn’t tell which were real. All he knew was that the pain was unlike anything he’d ever suffered before, and he wanted it - needed it - to stop.

He needed to rest. If he could just rest, he’d be better.

Yes… rest.

His eyelids softly closed, and all was black.
