Blaire Sal-Soren
Character

“Forgive me,” Blaire spoke up for the first time.
“Blaire Sal-Soren, here today representing Fortune’s Favorite Limited. No apologies required if you’ve never heard of us.” Blaire’s capacity as head of acquisitions was a new venture in her life and the company she represented, new as well at least on an interplanetary stage. Her name however, The Sal-Soren name was an old one and had reach in many places beyond Naboo. “We are a rather small company relative to whom you're used to conducting business with I’m sure and yet that is why I’m here. I’m here to make plain the interest our company and its founder Joran Del-Finn, Senator of Malastare, has to see this company grow throughout the republic with no better place to start than Denon and the people in this room. The Senator would also like me to pass on his regrets for not being able to attend himself.”
Fortune’s Favorite Limited. A local business on Naboo, with hardly any presence outside of Keren City, started by a working class man who was little more than a criminal by most accounts, run out of an office in the back of a pub, started as little more than a name on the business card of a smuggler, now owned two thirds of the factories in Keren City, making anything from droid components, speeder parts, to clothing. Agriculture on Naboo was a growing area of interest, both crops and livestock, but the real credits were made through ships. Import/export was the core of the business, and shipping and salvage were where it started, which was just a polite way to say smuggling and piracy.
That working man, criminal, smuggler, was now a senator in the republic and the guiding hand of Malastare.
“To make plain Senator Del-Finn’s desire for partnership, he has authorized me to, if possible, offer to Denon quite favorable contracts for Malastarian fuel; you will not find better quality fuel in all the republic. Certainly not at better prices.” Blaire finished her spiel with a warm smile. She much preferred buying to selling.
“I wish we could have seen each other at the ballet, it was truly an inspired performance.” A few years earlier, it would’ve been Blaire that they watched up on that stage. “Perhaps, we could spend sometime together here on Denon once things are settled. Senator Del-Finn was hoping to move some business here, with an office and everything.” Blaire said cheerily to Dominique. “Countess, I hope you can forgive me as well for not finding you at the performance. I truly would love to see more of you.”
“I do wonder, how concerned should we be about this…” Blaire looked back down at her datapad, running a finger across the screen clearly looking for something she had just read earlier “...ah, this Darkwire. They were a problem in the past yes?”
