Rising from the Ashes (ask for invite)

Mandalore

Rianna had left her when everything had come crashing down. She and Ordo moved the headquarters of the companies from here. Operations could not be completed here the environment alone prevented movement and work.

But here she was now standing before the Medical Center. Not far from where she stood the Dancing Thranta sat, Rianna's home while she was here. She brought along the droids to begin cleaning, shoveling and whatever other manual labor needed to be done.

The intricate work of restoring equipment, power, clean water source, and getting at least the care floor operational that fell on her, and [member="Briika Tor"] . There were many here to help she could see in the distance the number of ships, and all of the workers and Vod on the ground. She and Briika had met for the first time not far from this very spot when she came in to volunteer working as a First Responder. How long ago that all seemed right now.

It was heart breaking to see a place she had called home for years to look like this. To look like a war zone. Thank God [member="Ordo"] had decided not to come this trip. He stayed at home with their children.

"Where to start." Rianna asked no one. A droid was standing in the door waiting, "Ok...let's find out what we are facing." Rianna walked towards the Droid, MM-34 . Sometimes she wished droids could show their emotions or express them in some flag waving or anything that indicated news before they spoke.

"Ok MM, give me the bad news."

"Mam" he began to go over the amount of damage, the windows, the structure of the hospital, and then what needed to be done inside.

"Ok..well you and the team continue to work to get all the ash, and trash out and I'll see if I can get at least one room on line for care."

Mandalore

From a distance, through the ashen sky she watched. Over the horizon ships fly over head. The large space faring vessels has just broke through the atmosphere There approach took them over Kista’s current position and to the west of her. The direction they flew and the mixture of Mando’ade and Alderaan vessels made her wonder.

Sometime later…

Even if this was [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] Kista had remained cautious. She had not in fact met the woman but her father told her in depth about Rianna. So she stayed a distance and hidden among the desert rocks. Her caution was because of the dangers of the new Mandalore and not because of the woman who was her great aunty. At a distance her HUD could pick up the form of Rianna in a distance. It seemed remotely safe so Kista though about making contact.

Through the HUD of her berskar’gam Kista searched for a comlink signal on Rianna. Searching for a frequency emanating off the Aldranna Jedi healer was not difficult. The healer seemed to welcome communication. “Welcome home Rianna of Clan Ordo”, she spoken through her HUD comlink. It was sent via an open signal, so anyone with her or in the area could pick up and hear the communication. “Acting Alor’ad Kista Bralor of Clan Bralor”, she attempted to properly introduce herself. “Let those with you know that there are still dangerous creatures and hostile raiders in the area. Some survivors have taken to a dishonorable conduct and steal, kill, or worse from their former vod. I’m in the area so if you need anything please contact me.”

Hopeful Rianna stayed safe. Her father Bud Always spoke highly of the Jedi Healer. He would be very sad to hear if anything happened to her.

[member="Briika Tor"]

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
The Tor had been avoiding coming back to her homeworld where she grew up and lived until marrying her third husband, [member="Vilaz Munin"]. The man-made disaster by fellow Mandalorians with ill-will towards Manda'yaim and its people still didn't sit well with Briika nor had the pain of losing her parents as they had been caught in the eruption of the Three Sisters in the North Country near Enceri. Only by the will of the Manda and a brave vod did her daughter, [member="Mesh'la Dral"], and grandson survive the massive earthquake that had hit the capital of Mandalore. Keldabe had been devastated and the Tor Homestead just outside the city had been destroyed; the cliff in which the farm sat on crumbling into the Kelita River just as Mesh was being rescued.

Now the seasoned baar'ur resided on Concord Dawn, living with her riduur when the Sole Ruler was able to be there with her and their baby girl, Kayra Munin. Briika had kept herself busy with seeing to the refugees at the encampment that had been set up for them on the northern continent near the Munin homestead and the town of Lokaium where the Fett Memorial Hospital was located. She also had been overseeing the rural medical facility that had been build by MandalMedical for the Mandalorian Medical Corps back in the heyday of the clans.

That is why the petite blonde was now back on Mandalore. Her good friend and medical colleague, [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"], had asked the Mando medic to join her in rebuilding the Ordo Medical Center in Keldabe; the hospital of excellence named after the healer's beloved husband, [member="Ordo"]. It was time to put the past away and look to the present, but more so to the future for the Mando'ade as a whole.

"Su cuy'gar, ner vod... It is good to see you again, Rianna," Bree said to the dark-haired woman as she entered the debris area with her silver buy'ce off in hand flashing a warm smile.

"It seems we have much work to do here. Where would you like me to start? I brought with me some Munin clansmen to help as well."

[member="Kista Bralor"]

Rianna heard her name "Yes I will make them aware. You tell me what your skills are and I bet I can find you something to do." Just then she heard the sound of others arriving and her name spoken again. She waited to hear from [member="Kista Bralor "]

Rianna turned, "su cuy'gar Briika and yes good to see you too. How are you doing?" Rianna looked back at the building, that hint of sadness at what had happen still hanging on.

"Well the droids are cleaning, there's ash, debrie you name it in there. Your clansmen can" Rianna paused, "there are a couple of bodies down in the morgue if they could see to their care that would help. After that it's about getting at least the first floor operational. Rooms cleaned out sterilized, a complete search of the hospital for anyone who might have come here for safety. The droids say there's no one, and I can't sense anyone but...need to be sure."

Surely everyone knew now about the desperation set in to those that had stayed and any of the animals that had managed to live.

"Unless you can think of something Briika." It would take weeks to get to every floor and clean out anything that had taken up residence.

[member="Briika Tor"]

Mandal Medical setting back up shop on Mandalore was a huge boon. One that Kista had to make sure happened. The survivors here needed the help. Kista needed the help. [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] incoming transmission was a good solid info that yes she would like Kista’s help. The young woman could not help but smile as she watched Rianna and [member="Briika Tor"] talk. Though it was starting to feel a little weird she was watching from a great distance…while chatting over a comlink. Still new Mandalore required one to be cautious.

“I can supply technically support and supply technical goods. I can even supply energy. I have a few shops set up in the area I still manufacture goods for our vod and I also supply energy. I can help to solve possible issues with raiders or nasty creatures.”

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
"I'm well, thank you," Bree replied to her friend with a smile. "And you?"

Life was indeed going better now that her family was all together on Concord Dawn. [member="Mesh'la Dral"] and [member="Aden Dral"] had finally reconciled their marital differences enough to build a homestead together on the old Clan Garon land given to them by [member="Strider Garon"]; Aden's father. It pleased her to see their young son, Valen, named after Briika and [member="Kad Tor"]'s deceased brother, flourishing with both parents caring for him in what appeared to be a loving home after a rocky restart. Now if she could just get her younger brother situated with his girl, [member="Artemis Lux"], everything would be as it should be.

There was another talking by comlink to [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"], whom she had not met personally. Perhaps the petite baar'ur and [member="Kista Bralor "]would in the coming days. A collaborative effort would rule the day here in rebuilding Manda'yaim so that the homeworld of the Mando'ade was livable again in full capacity or at least closer to its former self, if that was even possible. Time would only tell.

"Unfortunately there is no easy way to tackle this. We either refurbish what is left before us or rebuild completely. It may just be easier overall to do the latter, but I have never backed down from a difficult fight. It is your call, Rianna," the petite blonde nodded.

"I will have my men take care of the deceased bodies and do a thorough search of the premises. Anything that is not welcomed here will be dealt with," she responded, then added after a moment of thought.

"I could deploy a Rimsoo that is on standby aboard the Vencunarir in orbit to handle the medical emergencies and routine care of those citizens living here and the surrounding area until the medical center is back up and running, if you like. There is a suitable spot about two blocks away that will do."

Rianna listened to [member="Kista Bralor "]"We can always use energy, I could also use someone to look at the hospital generators." The generators were in the basement of the hospital.

She looked over at [member="Briika Tor"] , "Maybe we should take what we can out for salvage a lot of the equipment should be fine. Its the beds, and items that aren't sterilized, and structure making sure it is still safe." She blew out hard as she thought about what to do and how to move forward.

It had taken months to be the Ordo Medical Center, "I woiuld deploy a RIMSOO best to have something than nothing." Right now they were at nothing. And there was word that the inhabitants of the Hapes system were also looking for assistance. Destruction natural or otherwise did not have a time table.

Rianna shook her head, "Ok...we don't have quite the funds we did last time. If we knock down and start over it will cost a great deal. If we floor by floor and refurbish and clean. It will keep a lot of people busy for a while, keeping their minds off their troubles. And a knowledge they are helping their Vod. Let's refurbish. Agreed?"

She wondered if Kista would come in now, or wait a bit longer. Rianna was still bothered that she couldn't sense the girl. So odd.

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
"I was wondering about the generators. Can't really have full service hospital without reliable ones. It will be good to have a knowing hand then with those," Bree nodded, glad to have the additional offered help from [member="Kista Bralor"]. Things were looking up.

"I will have the Rimsoo deploy and operational within the hour. As for the Hapes humanitarian crisis... I thought Doctor Rashae and her medical group were handling that, though I could be wrong."

Azure orbs gazed about the debris, then seasoned baar'ur refocused upon [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] once again.

"Refurbish then we will do," the petite blonde agreed with a reassuring smile, then turned to the captain of the clansmen she'd brought with her. Briika gave him orders to have his men take care of the deceased bodies, begin the search and clearing of the building, and for others to help move the unsalvageable things outside. From there they could determine what new equipment they would need to purchase and bring in.

"I hope you brought your elbow grease with you because I think we are going to need it," she quipped lightly before putting her silver buy'ce back on. It was going to get real dusty and the helmet's filter system would help with keeping the small particles of ash out of her eyes and lungs, plus Briika could listen to a music playlist Mesh had made for her mother while she worked. Also, the alor'ad would be able to communicate more readily with the Munin clansmen with her and keep posted on the status of the RMSU.

[member="Briika Tor"] [member="kista bralor"]

"Oh I brought some helping hands and I"m hoping we can convince young Kista to come and fix the generators if she can. As for me...I brought a rebreather to help with the air the rest will have to be a poor old healer's talents." Rianna headed towards the building the droids were hard at work doing as they had been tasked with cleaning, and removing

Rianna would and look at the equipment. "As for the Hapans I have friends there they have asked for help I do not think anyone would begrudge them more help. It wouldn't be humanitarian would it?" Rianna smiled, "So tell me more about what's going on"

Briika may have thought she would get away with listening to music but Rianna wasn't going to let her get away so easily, least not until they both became so absorbed they forgot.

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
So yeah maybe losing herself to her music would be rude...

[ With Hapes? To be honest, Rianna, I've been a bit out of the loop. I don't know the actual conditions on the ground there only that the region was under siege recently and the Mando'ade forces had been there. I was at the Dxun Outpost at the time of the dominion action, then relocated to Concord Dawn afterwards to oversee the refugee camp and hospital there. These days I stay closer to home as Kayra is still young, and Vilaz is gone most of the time handling his affairs. ]

Briika began cleaning off a cluttered counter in an exam room of debris, and going through the cabinets to see what supplies left in them were salvageable and those that weren't. Things that were sealed should be, but any open packages would have to be tossed.

[ What have your friends said of their needs there? ]

[member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] @Kista Bralor

Rianna paused and listened she smiled but there was no one to see the smile, 'they are rebuilding Hapes as you know it was glassed. Many of the people on Hapes need assistance, some of moved to other worlds within the cluster. I figured the best thing to do is approach them and ask what they need and then go make friends."

She kept her peace about other things, "At least Kayra is thriving on a world where she can learn the ways of the Vod and you can continue your work." Rianna was looking at a scanner it seemed fine it needed power but none of the dials were broken, the metal was in tact.

So far so good and this pleased her. There was hope.

[member="Briika Tor"]

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
[ Well then perhaps a trip to Hapes Prime would be in order for us, hmm? ] Bree replied over her helmet comlink.

[ Elek, Concord Dawn has allowed both ner ade and I to have that at least. Mesh is there also with her family. I can't begin to tell you how seeing Mandalore like this hurts me personally, but life goes on and the Mando'ade will too. We always have, always will. ] she added, then moved onto another cabinet in the same shape as the last. This was going to be a long, slow process, but there was light at the end of the tunnel; faint but there. It was called hope.

[ So what shape is MandaMedical in these days? Will we need to look for other funding to help finish the rebuilding project here or is it too early to tell? ]

[member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] [member='Kista Bralor']

"Yes Briika we go on, but we never forget and we teach those after us about this and what it meant to us." Rianna sighed yes she had spent many years on Mandalore happy years with Ordo and later with Maeve and Dral . But she knew they were not returning here, they would always be Vod but this wasn't home anymore.

It was a place to visit and remember, "MandalMedical we have other sources outside contracts, and a couple of other locations so we are all right though it would be interesting to see if any of the Clans would contribute to the restoration. Maybe we should ask rather than shoulder all of it. We have Alpha Mae, Alderaan even though were are they to help we still receive an income. That's one reason why I want to go to Hapes if we work with them maybe they will give us a contract for goods."

Rianna pulled the lid off the sanitzer, this didn't look good at all. "Let's replace the sanitizers just to be safe. Do you think you would want to travel?"

[member="Briika Tor"] [member="Kista Bralor"]

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
[ I will speak to Vilaz regarding funding for the restoration. ] Bree replied, which meant she would tell her husband to do so in a gentle yet firm way. Women just had a way of doing so that made their men comply, or at least the petite baar'ur did.

The day continued on with much work clearing and cleaning out the first floor of the medical center in a collaborative effort. It was a slow process, but it seemed a little bit less overwhelming by the evening as a few rooms were at least useable now. They would still need to be re-supplied and equipped though.

[ Rianna... My men have searched the facility and it had been cleared of all undesirables. And, the deceased taken care of properly. Have you heard if the generators will be up and running any time soon? ]

[member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] [member='Kista Bralor']

[member="Briika Tor"]

Rianna pushed the sanitizer out of the way she'd have them sent back to MandalMedical and cleaned. But new ones would have to come into the hospital. She was nodding as she listened to Briika talk.

She was thankful that Briika would talk to her riduur she would talk to those around her too, "all clear you say excellent, let's get the droids to cleaning and everyone else to pulling out anything else. As for the generators I've not heard from [member="Kista Bralor "] in a while maybe we should go look. I..don't know much about them but I can at least look for obvious things. What about you?"

Generators were not her forte, but she'd give it her best shot.

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
Briika removed her helmet for a minute to take a sip of water from a canteen attached to her utility belt.

"Well... I can troubleshoot a misfiring tractor engine. Generator's shouldn't be too much harder to figure out. I'll give it a try too, though still best get someone in here that know's what they are doing to give final approval before we're open to seeing patients," Bree nodded, then wiped off the lip of the canteen before offering it over.

"How are Ordo and the kids these days? Haven't seen them in ages?"

[member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] [member='Kista Bralor']

[member="Briika Tor"] @Kista Bralor

"Well yes give it a try I will meet you at the generators" Rianna hoped that the force would give her insight as to what was wrong.

"Ordo is enjoying farming and the kids are growing faster than I would like. I wish they could stay small almost forever but as you know they grow have lives and give us grandchildren to spoil. Though I can wait a bit. Maeve and Dral need to well live first. Are you enjoying being married?"

Some did some didn't she knew Briika well enough to know she enjoyed marriage for all the benefits it offered.

Rianna started making her way to the generators.

Sitting in the command chair of the 'Charlie' the Unicorn heavy cruiser the man known as Muad Dib watched the states flash by as the fleet he was leading traveled through hyperspace. The crew were efficient in their duties and none looked at their commander. It wasn't that he was a task master but rather that the madness within the glowing blue eyes scared the osik out of the crew.

The stories of the Mad Knight of Manda'yaim had grown more prevalent on every outing it seemed. From Sithly origins, to warmonger Knight of the Sith, to a wandering Mad Man beholden to none, to a Mandalorian berserker ... The man had collected quite the reputation. Even during his time with the CIS her had begun to gain attention for his ruthlessness and ferocity.

Chuckling lightly he shifted in the chair and tapped the armrest bringing up the planet that the small fleet was traveling to. Manda'yaim, commonly called Mandalore, stood before him emulating from a Holo projector. The sphere slowly rotated before him, it's surface war torn and scarred. The desolation and ruin brought to his yaim erased the mirth he had felt moments before. The destruction that befell the planet was not due to invaders, attackers, or the countless enemies of the mando'ade. It had been caused by their own. By vode.

A snarl twisted his features, a low growl replacing the chuckle. He wasn't here when she fell, when there destruction destroyed cities and homesteads, when whole clans were eradicated. The thought that perhaps if he was there he could have done something to stop the cataclysm that had claimed so much from his people was ever on his mind. But alas, he was not.

Looking at the countdown on the console he sighed and stood. Looking over the bridge he watched the captain slowly stroking among the officers at their stations. He was a tall, lean man with sharp features. Thin, black hair greying at the temples went well with the sharp, black uniform he wore. Captain Harkness was not a jovial man. He wore a perpetual scowl under a hooked nose making him appear like a bird of prey, constantly on the lookout for weakness so he could strike. Muad liked him. Nodding at the man the Mandalorian moved to the turbolift.

"Captain, the bridge is yours."
As the lift doors shut he watched Captain Harkness nod in understanding and acceptance. While the lift traveled to the main hanger bay Muad listened to the music playing. He never understood the fascination with music in the turbolifts. Always some disturbingly uplifting time that somehow wormed itself into your head so that hours later you felt yourself still nodding along to the tune. Ingeniously evil.

The lift doors slid open and he stepped off into the hanger bay. Shuttles were being loaded and the bustle of activity was amusing to watch. Beings of several different species worked side by side with droid. It was the way of the Confederacy. It took some getting used to, working with droids. It was somewhat difficult to trust a group of droids when you couldn't eat with them, sweat with them, bleed with them. That feeling of commraderie was lost on the machines. But forward progress and progressive thinking and the like.

As he strode across the hanger bay heads turned to look in his direction. He had gained their respect with his shrewd and unorthodox maneuvers above Shimia. Instead of a slugging match he had used misdirection and a devious plan carefully crafted that not only assisted in the CIS victory over Gath which liberated the subjugated people but also minimalized loss of life. And that in itself gained the fleet he commanded their respect and loyalty.

Nearing an old lambda class shuttle that had been retrofitted Muad lightly posted the hull. It had seen him through many years. As he climbed aboard he nodded at his vode similarly outfitted in their own beskar'gam. Feeling the slight change in vibration he nodded as he moved to the cockpit to stand in the doorway. The pilot looked over his shoulder, "We have exited hyperspace and the fleet is transmitting that they are friendly. Permission to take off sir?"

Muad nodded his consent. The shuttle rose on repulsors and slowly moved through the magcom field before activating thrusters to gain a little distance before fully powering on the engines to take the shuttle planet bound. Tapping the communication officer lightly on the shoulder he nodded for a message to be sent.

"This is mando'ad Muad Dib, Alor of Clan Farr. We are here to assist Manda'yaim and our vode. Please transmit location coordinates for my shuttle to land so I can discuss prospective team work for our people to restore our yaim."

Briika didn't waste any time and headed down to the basement where the hospital's generators were located. Like the floors above, it was full of ash and debris.

Using the headlight feature on her buy'ce since the lights were out without a power source, the Baar'ur made her way carefully down the stairs and over to the generators. There was the main generator and a backup. Both were offline. She cleared some of the debris away and brushed off the ash before opening the side panel on the main one.

Well first things first... make sure the breaker was off before tinkering. Being shocked would not be a good thing. Briika started checking the wire connections and found a couple were loose, then the relays, conductor coils and so forth. It was a mundane process yet needed to be done systematically.

After her first initial run through, the Mando medic decided to give it a shot.

[ Standby... I am going to try and restart the generator. ] Bree announced, then flipped the main switch. There was light.

[ Oya! ] she exclaimed. It was something to hang hope on at least as they seemed to be making a step in the right direction. [ We have power. ]

Rianna was preparing to answer Briika when another voice broke through communications. A single arched brow peaked as she listened to the name she did not recognize the Clan name, but now the other name was one under great debate around House Organa.

Slowly she smiled well well, let's find out more about the leader of Clan Farr.

"Briika we have company one [member="Muad Dib"] can you tell me what you know about him. I'm preparing to give him our location" Rianna listened for Briika as she tapped out the coordinates to send to the shuttle. The lights flickered, "oohh excellent job Briika...we have power...Briika...be sure to look at the intakes on generator." Air flow for cooling the internal parts would need to be clear, and the filters would definitely have to be changed out. Likely multiple times.

Rianna sent the Coordinates along with a greeting, Welcome all help in restoring our home is most appreciated.
