Numbers: The RAT boosts a large unit number allowing it's member to be deployed where needed on world without straining recourse to much. - Front Line Use: Unlike RST (security) the RAT area trained to fight long drawn out battles in many different environments are are equipped to deal with most threats. In a sense they are a jack of all trades.
[*]Weaknesses:
- Standard Equipment: Despite having good all range equipment RAT's lack specialized roles and thus can be at a disadvantage when put in certain situations. Though never fully outplayed they will struggle to take on certain threats.
- Not-Elites: Much like the army troopers of the past galactic empire the RAT's are not up to par with Storm Troopers and other more elite units. Thus they can not be relied upon to undertake certain missions that require specialization.
[*]Description: Due to lack of certain facilities and some self imposed restriction the creation of Imperial Storm troopers has been ceased on Rishi. Even so the need for a formally trained military able to handle a variety of threats was needed. As such the regular Imperial Army trooper was used as a template for this new military unit, copying much of the same equipment from the 800 year old template. The clearest changes to it being more up to date armor and a altered helmet.
Despite the atheistic and equipment changes the over all training and use has stayed the same, meaing the unit is not on par with storm troopers. Even so it is still a capable military fighting force and can handle most general assignments.
