Description: RI-PD1 was created to assist in prospecting routes through space, with the intention of loosing them into a specific area of uncharted space in order to record any findings and ensure the way was passable. With that said, they are also capable of carrying out the same task upon a planet, surveying the area for resources and threats. The probes themselves are fairly small, capable of navigating tight areas should they end up in, for example, an asteroid field. The front of the droid consists of a scanner and a holo-camera which feeds back to the exploration vessel it had been dispatched from via a limited holo-feed transmission, allowing the explorers to view for themselves how treacherous the route may be. They possess three claw-like legs which can retract in on themselves for storage purposes. The claws themselves are used for latching onto objects such as debris and rocks, as well as vessels, as a way to enhance the survival capabilities of the droid -- however they are not in any way harmful to these objects. They are programmed for one purpose and fulfil it well, but are unable to carry out any other requirements a purchaser may ask of them.
